    The Film was great primarily owing to it's narrative form, the style tat made the golden age of Movie-lore.

    That's not what Anhedonia is. Anhedonia is a state where the person is unable to experience pleasure.

      I was just going to write that then saw you had !
      With anhedonia, you can indeed be deeply in love, be deeply loved back, yet get no pleasure from it ! (The opposite of hedonism of course.)

    I saw it again after a forty year hiatus and was a bit disappointed. I didn’t find it quite as wonderful.
