William Friedkin is a genius director. Love listening to this dude talk.
Mr. Billy Friedkin... love the guy.
Top 3 comedy of all time.
The Film was great primarily owing to it's narrative form, the style tat made the golden age of Movie-lore.
Genius analysis, from a director who made films that couldn’t be more different than Allen’s.
Such a smart critique. Also, he made "Cruising. " hmmm
...and To Live & Die In LA. Another brilliant film.
Cruising is a cult classic now saw it in a theatre last year
He's correct.
💯
That's not what Anhedonia is. Anhedonia is a state where the person is unable to experience pleasure.
Nameless Paladin, pleasures, like love. I think he knows what it means, he just needed to simplify and summarise his thoughts.
I was just going to write that then saw you had !
With anhedonia, you can indeed be deeply in love, be deeply loved back, yet get no pleasure from it ! (The opposite of hedonism of course.)
I saw it again after a forty year hiatus and was a bit disappointed. I didn’t find it quite as wonderful.
You're mistaken
If you'd seen it recently for the first time instead of a repeat experience your opinion would likely be different.
Love and Death is better.
lol, no
frogtastic1000 It’s funnier, but not better
