    Hi, can you tell me exactly which diodes to use please I want to build one like that.thanks

    • @FixitEasyDIY
      @FixitEasyDIY  Před 9 měsíci +1

      I really don't remember what diodes I used. Actually it will work just fine without them. I added diodes to lower the voltage a little bit, but in different situations it might be not needed. If you decided to use diodes, you can simply experiment with any diodes you have on hand. They were connected in series to lower voltage in my project.

    Wow, 😍
    Is this steam?
    What you put on cotton 🤔

    • @FixitEasyDIY
      @FixitEasyDIY  Před rokem +3

      Yep that was fog. Not irritating the eyes. I've put pure glycerine on the cotton:)

    Good work, what did you put in series to the fan, resistors? Why and what is the value?

    • @FixitEasyDIY
      @FixitEasyDIY  Před rokem +5

      Thank you man! I have put couple of diodes to lower the voltage because it works better with lower RPMs on the fan. It's not that crucial to make it the same, i just wanted to create thick fog instead of big volume. I couldn't capture good enough the result. Believe me it was very impressive 😉

      Actually I used only parts from the hairdryer and a plug for the 12 power supply. And some cotton and glycerine :)

    Excuse me, I want to ask, if you want the smoke to smell good, what should you add to the glycerin

    • @FixitEasyDIY

    How the fog made? Is it because the hot air from the hairdryer pass the glycerine and let it become the fog?

    • @FixitEasyDIY
      @FixitEasyDIY  Před rokem +1

      Actually the glycerine is heated directly, because it is inside the heated wire. It becomes fog immediately. The fan is just distributing the fog. This principle of fog making is the same in old fog machines in night clubs but in bigger scale. The glycerine must be heated significantly to evaporate into fog. This particular project uses 12 volt power supply to heat the kanthal wire and run the fan in the same time. Pretty easy to make, and yet safe enough 🙂

    How much volts was that?

      Glad to hear that! I used 12V battery to power this device. This winter I will make another smoke/fog machine but in different style: something like grenade maybe ;)

    I hate when they don’t explain things and why it has to be done a certain way or maybe it’s just to hard to know what he is doing when you never did anything like this before I just don’t like it

    • @tylerjohn18yt29
      @tylerjohn18yt29 Před 2 měsíci +1

      It's basically a giant vape coil
      It's a very simplistic way to make fog/vape
      And with the way he's doing it, if you remember to put the smoke oil on the cotton regularly and not have it turned on for too long, it could last a fair while but the coil could easily burn out if u don't
