I have the 450 Bushmaster VX Freedom and it keeps it's zero. That is a heavy recoiling round. So far so good and I like how clear it is.

I just got my VX-FREEDOM 3-9x40 with the ultimate slam reticle for my SX4 slug gun. Scope seem to be very clear and bright. I can't wait to see how it performs! Got the scope at a great deal from fleet farm.

For a .308 hunting rifle. Hunting at roughly 100-500 yards, do you think the 3-9x40 or 4-12x40 would be better? Thank ahead and I look forward to getting my hands on one. Everyone I know who owns one says they are never switching.

Always depends on the habitat you’re hunting in. Open plains or open areas I’d always choose longer ranges. Under a tree canopy I’d use shorter ranges scopes.

I have 3 freedom scope and have had to shim all 3 . Not enough elevation adjustment on all 3 of them , how do they have good reviews ?

How do you zero stop the rifle , when I was on my way to hunt the dial shifted when I put it in my bag , and then I was jot sure where it was or if I'm a full turn out or what, if you could advise me I would appreciate it

It can be put on any firearm. Recoil is not an issue.

Is this a centerfire scope?

There are rimfire specific VX-Freedoms. But most VX-Freedoms models are not specifically designed with rimfire specific reticles.

It's primarily for centerfire, but they make a side focus model (4-12x40mm) that would be suitable if you don't mind a larger scope on a rimfire platform.

Bad experience for me , want stay on sight , got as a gift brand new to put on my old 30 30 shot 45.00 worth ammo gains 3 to 6 inches height in every shot till there’s no more adjustment . Put a borrowed no name scope on it , not much choice season is in 3 days here , wish I’d put it on months ago , never dreamed I’d see this in a scope of this caliber , over priced name it appears.
