Jeff has always been as transparent as possible. Obviously he's running a business, but he's always operated by offering products and companies he believes in, and he understands that business is about long term relationships. WAY too many companies think short term, or think they're hiding some industry secret and that buyers are dumb. You can't afford to do that nowadays, there's just way too much information out there, and if you want to be a trusted authority, honesty is the most important component.
He is actually an excellent presenter, I’d watch him on any type of show/channel tbh

YES, I also enjoy the mechanical nature of riding, I don't want a computer on my bike, no gizmos, just earbuds for tunes, that's as far as I want to go and I'm going back to MP3 player, the phone keeps interrupting me during rides with nonsense texts and crap that doesn't matter.

I love the whole Shimano/SRAM conversation as everyone has their reason why they use what they do. I started into the sport when SRAM was only making Grip Shift so I’ve always ridden Shimano MTB products and just never liked the feel of the SRAM brakes and shift levers. However - on the road side I’m a Campagnolo guy if they ever make a MTB group set again I don’t care how bad it is I will no questions asked throw my money at it.

I think I've tried all the protective films available & for sure ride wrap is by far the easiest to fix in place

I have been using a Garmin Forerunner 955 as my MTB "computer" and my daily wear watch for over a year. It is a great way to get an awesome watch and a bike navigation unit without having to buy both.

ENVE makes the best Carbon Rims out there. I run 2.6's and ride 20 lbs in the rear and 18 in the front! It all works great! I love all my XX1 Wireless shift as well as my stupid expensive Reverb Dropper! Oh c'mon you are a business partner with Brian! I love my Apple Ultra! Does all what the Garmin will do as well as emergency Satellite connection if you crash bad...I love all my SRAM components....everything but their Poor Brakes....

I love my Garmin Forerunner and the Edge 130 for my Mtn bikes and Edge 840 and Rally XC pedals on my gravel bike
I have always wanted to trail run, but I messed up my knees in the late 80's and never got a chance to do it. Looks awesome.

I feel that battery life concern. I commute on my bike which gives me two lights (at least) and a GPS to keep charged. Adding a shifter into that would just make my commute that much more complicated.

For some reason i always prefer Sram and RockShox combo. I had 1 Shimano / Fox bike and I hated it. I find the SRAM Drivetrain much more comfortable and the RockShox suspension much easier to adjust.

Great video. Worst industry trend is fully internal cable routing through the headset. The aerodynamic advantage on road bikes is minimal but for MTB it's absolutely absurd and just about looks.

No more shimano, no more fox BS ( Kashima coating ) and no more Oakley tool shades. Finally good products being manufactured and proven more reliable than the above mentioned ( tired and over hyped) brands.

wtf I'd up with mtb apparel sizing. Fox pants and shorts have to be different sizes to fir the same. I don't expect every manufacturer to be the same but when even in the same company things don't fit the same😢
No shit. It’s like they make it in china and slap any tag size they want on it. Fox and POC are terrible about that. I do have some Ketl stuff and the shorts are far and away my favorite.

Shimano is in diferent category,i agree.
Shimano xtr 12 speed stuf shifts nicer,way nicer with cable operated shifter then sram axs eagle stuff.
T-type shifts very nice under the load but still not so much better then good old cable operated xtr shifter with those hyperglide+chain and cassette.
And it cost 1/3 od the price of t-type xx sl.
And yes,i have ridden all 3 groupsets.
I couldn't agree more. But I am biased. I've used Shimano for 20 years on my bikes, mainly XT shifter with LX, SLX or XT derailleurs and cassettes in 3x8, 3x10, 2x11 and 1x12 configurations. I've had the opportunity to compare it to occasionally ridden GX or NX eagle. In my opinion the 1x12 from Shimano came much later but was much more refined than SRAM. The shifts are crisper, load is not an issue, instant and multi up-shifts are nice. When they've said that SRAM Transmission shifts under load my thoughts were that finally they've matched the Shimano in that regard.

I have two bikes with AXS dropper and drive trains. 3 years now and I have yet to run out of battery. I also carry a spare battery in my pack. It’s not difficult
A simple new drivetrain and pedals on my Norco Storm 2018 cost 500, things are out of control, I could have bought a new bike for 600.
I loved my 4runner 255 until beginning of February when the Connect App was updated to hamstring connecting to tablets.... I don't want to give them all my phone data. Now the watch is not very useful and Garmin is AWOL. Buy something else

Not sure how you get 5 rides out of axs battery.. I charge it about 3 times a year on rear mech.. flight attendant is most consuming, lasting about a month (3-4 few hour rides a week)
I was thinking the same thing I feel like I could get about 500 miles of charge out of it.
