Sorry for the late response, just seen your comment! What green lights? I was displaying the fuel mileage analysis in this video. You cycle through the fuel screens on the display and eventually wind up there. Also this truck is an FX4.
@@JimmyLeeTennessee thanks for the response I was trying this out I’m 15 and have a car don’t ask why so I can get used to it but I tried it out and heard a noise passing 40
In sport mode when accelerate and then let up on throttle it acts like a manual trans. It just decelerates instead of shifting up. I have 2018 3.5 turbo with 10 speed. Thanks Is that normal?
@@JimmyLeeTennessee Yeah, the tow-haul button is located on the column and is activated by a button and it shows it`s on by an icon on the dash so it is not in a menu. I`m only getting about 15.5 mpg around town and just bought the truck and replaced the plugs and the gas mileage didn`t improve although it runs better. it`s got 87k miles on it.
@@webman1956 apparently they revised the Ecoboost in 2015 due to the gen 1 having a issue with carbon build up inside the engine and causes that lose in fuel economy and power I can't remember exactly what they changed but I know the build up on the first gens was because of the direct injection causing that carbon build up from oil blow by. Only way to rectify that is to have a shop clean the engines internals I happened to get a 2015 Ecoboost 3.5 and was told all this when buying my truck from a service tech at the dealership.
Thanks bro. I just got me a 2018 f150 lariat and was wondering how sport mode affected the drive.
Every video of Jimmys I’ve watched I’ve learned!
Thanks for watching! More videos to come, Had to take some time off due to work!

Good video, thanks for not beating around the bush and wasting 10 minutes of my life 💩
Will tow haul mode make my 2010 silverado faster ive hesr its like a sport mode
It is very much like sport mode
I'll try it out thanks 👍
In sport mode do I have to use the buttons to up and lower shift?
No you do not unless your have the shifter in the "m" position

@3dprintingtoday I cannot speak for all cars, but only for the f150. Some vehicles do use sport mode as manual mode, so do your research. Cheers!
I love mine fully loaded
In the F350 the Sport mode and automatic engine brake will give better fuel economy. Just driving normal not aggressive
Wow that's insane, never heard of that one.
What if you would tow in sport mode?
You tow twice as fast
If would not be advantageous because of the extra strain on the drive train.... sorry for the late reply I was never notified for your comment!

Sorry for the late response, Yes it's totally normal! It's trying to provide some engine-braking to slow you down.
@@JimmyLeeTennesseeik it’s 2 years later but it’s actually just keeping it in the powerband.
@@TunedFusion3.0 yes its both that is correct.
I just bought a 2014 F 150, I`m guessing it doesn`t have those modes or does it?
It quite possibly could! Or atleast the tow-haul
