Just to clarify some mistakes in this review: The limiter is 7500RPM, the power peaks around 6500RPM and there is no early limiter. Why is it limiting or cutting earlier? Because of driver error, by riding the clutch pedal you engage the clutch switch which will trigger flat shift when you don't want it. By removing your foot from the clutch pedal completely and not riding your clutch you will have no issue. Flat shift begins at 5000 with a timing retard and fully engages by 6000 stepping up to a ignition cut and fuel cut to hold the target RPM. For a demo view this video: czcams.com/video/ebhCm_inTr4/video.html We're only able to show you this now has John has just brought the car in for a health check after some 6 months on the road, it has performed perfect all this time, has been to the Nürburgring and is actually making a tad more power now. Instant thumbs up for Gran Turismo Banner.
Jamie you just showed the owner how to wake up his 10k worth of mods 🤘🏽
Probably the best Astra vxr around👌👌
As a arden astra vxr owner loved this.
Soon to be going up in price dont care what People say look at the nova sr gsi
I hear what your saying but I dunno man as much as I love my vxrs and gsi the only ones I can see appreciating in value are the burgs or vxr racing in red Arden is too much of a popular choice in the vxr scene just look at pvs 8/10 ardens than any other colour take up the space
I'm sure at one point Jamie was trying not to laugh at the guys driving.... Awsome driving from Jamie once again
Humble owner credit to him he’s done it his own way, sounds mad 🔥🔥

Absolutely loved the reactions during the flat shifts!!!
The pops and bangs are lethal🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
That sounds amazing. Loved it. One of the best Vids
the soundddddddddd 😬😨also love the owners reaction to you gunning it haha
Man the owners reaction to you driving it gave me an ear to ear grin. He seems a right legend
Sweet build, German cars for the win :D
Vauxhall is a German car with a british badge. Well it is an Opel for uk market
@@kingofohio5689 actually no, the Opel is German, the Vauxhall is British, there is no taking away where a car company was founded (ps Vauxhall was founded first in 1857, opel 1862)
Sounds brutal! Great video yet again🤙🏽
I love seeing the passion in the owners face
Those flat shifts were epic 👌
Nice car .. I had a 420 bhp hybrid turbo seat Leon mk2 and I don’t understand why the vxr only revs to 6k. The cupra just started making full power at 4500 rpm..
Those puffs of smoke when you shift!!! 🤩
I want the Gran Turismo banner across my windshield.
I still love the vxr.. want one now
Love the car quality build and owner hope he gets the rev limiter upped💣💥
Jamie beat up the cars belly lmao. My guys face was priceless. Hes like “you drive it better than me”. True true lol
