For an hour, the scavengers and their queen looked up to the sky and paid their respect not an enemy, but a fighter who'd lost everything. The music resonated through the planet into the mountains where The Reikgons listened and were never seen again. Through the cold winter and the trauma of losing his friends.The Apostle was finally at peace with his betrayal .The Apostle closed his eyes and to the sound of the music passed away peacefully. Shadow hunters, who had stayed loyal to The Apostle and his mission, rised up from the ground to give their final goodbyes and vanished like the rest of their Reikgon brothers. The Apostle then woke up,to find that he was nowhere familiar and that he had no clue where he was. He searched for days on end just trying to find an escape,or a clue where he was. He remembered the song he had played and the Rekigon from the night before,but still had no clue what had happened or what will happen. He played the night before in his head a million times before eventually he had given up. There wasn't an ounce of energy inside him. He felt he would lay there a million years,so he did.
With no escape to this endless hell,he tried playing the song in his head. The only thing he could have remembered was his name,and the night beforehand.
An absolute legend. Truly a great of gaming, which at the time of the "final" shutdown, I hadn't played much and had regretted it. Now that it's back up, I'm glad that this masterpiece of gameplay, customization, lore, and so much more has returned for the foreseeable future, and we can only hope it isn't forced to close again. gg -Tc43

Don’t get me wrong, it’s great that a whole new community adopted and fell in love with this song, I just wish more people knew that this song is from an entirely different game, and was renamed and integrated with this game. The song is actually “Kerry’s Song” from Cyberpunk 2077, and was one of the most memorable parts of the game. No change of scenery will ever compare to being so many hours in to such a beautiful game and relaxing on a yacht listening to Kerry play this into the sunset.

Although I only started playing Decaying Winter 4 days ago, I can say confidently that this is one of the best I've ever played. Compared to most games nowadays, Decaying Winter stands out immensely. The games' quality and overall design is unmatched. It's unfortunate that the main game got taken down. It'll be even more unfortunate if the other standalone version gets taken down as well. Agents, enjoy the game while it lasts. You may never know when it'll be your last time experiencing this amazing game.

What makes this song good, exactly? As it has already been said countless times, the best part about this song is how it fits into Decaying Winter's incredibly action-packed gameplay and its incredibly tragic lore, and acts as a middle ground between the two, not really picking a side in terms of tone, opting for invoking a feeling of finality. It works incredibly well, as it's grounded in the feasibility of someone just playing this song in Eden-227, while also having a really nice melody. Overall, its main strength how it acts as a bridge between the lore and the gameplay, which was already executed fairly well, imitating how tragic war can be while also imitating how glorified it is in some forms of media. I love it.

a few weeks later,another wave of agents has arrived,to clean up and find survivors,clean up was quick,survivors were,well lets say they werent lucky,in the base we found 4 agents dead, safe to say for a few weeks, then one agent who looked fresher than the others, sat on the floor,slumped against the container and in his hands a guitar,the entire room was splattered with blood, the agents all the same,but this guitar was pristine in the agents mouth was a lit cigar and beside him were two beers of bottles,we cleaned up the rest of the agents and buried them, the lad playing the guitar,we let sit him down and face the desolate yet beautiful place, its what they wouldve wanted,after all,its a calm night aint it?

A 17 yr teenage boy sits in his room. Living the life no one ever had wanted. Fighting parents, mother a drunk and father a wiped out waste. And he has a younger sibling, 12 ye old girl. As this boy sits in his room he starts to hear his parents fight like every other night but then hears a faint cry from the room beside his. His siblings room. He walks in to see her crying and he calms her and comforts her. He sits there and to help her sleep he chooses to soothe out his parents yelling with some music. He grabs the guitar that sits in her room and tunes it up. Starts to play the strings one by one playing this song you hear now reading this. As she listens and smiles she sees she’s not alone and he realizes he has a reason to life. As he plays the night away watching and waiting for his sibling to finally rest. He kisses her head and cover her with the blanket. Resting the guitar down and walks back to his room.
A Tribute. With deep sorrow we’ve come to know that as of 10/5/2023, Decaying Winter an action and horror packed Wave based shooter/Survival game on Roblox, is witnessing its second Graphic content review and is currently unavailable for online play. Hyper, the admin of the AA/DW server, had announced that if the content review goes through, that the game will not be reinstated. As painful as this may be to many agents and fans of the game, let’s look back on all the good or bad memories we’ve made playing the game, all the friends we’ve made and bonds we’ve created. Through all the suicides, funny ragdolls, sickler jumpscares and joyful cheers of victory we’ve achieved. On behalf of every agent out there I can say with sheer confidence that this game has helped many of us in more ways than one, and we are all truly thankful to the creators and moderators that have worked hard to keep this game alive for as long as it has. Looking back now, it feels like only yesterday when I first played the game with all of my closest friends, but that was a whole year and a half ago now. With that said, all the clips, all the wins and losses I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing will forever remain a core memory inside of my mind, and I’m sure anyone else reading this would feel the same way. And to all the fellow agents out there, our journey has come to a bitter end, and our mission is finally complete. As of right now, all we can do is pray for the best, but if worst comes to worse, then Rest in peace Decaying Winter, you will forever live in our hearts.

I remember back when decaying winter got deleted and everyone panicked as well sent their respects to the game. I was one of them, I wasn't an experienced player. In fact, I just got introduced to it by my friends and played it only once. The week after that it got deleted. I felt kind of sad, but now knowing that the game has been restored, I thank the person who did it. The only thing sad left is that the devs didn't decide to continue working on the game and quitted it.
Actually the game was supposed to be "finished" a while ago so the 3 new perks drifter, apostle, and crosslink all were never supposed to happen since the dev didn't want to work on it since bad code. But they felt bad for the community that was dedicated and loyal to playing it so they added a bunch of changes and balances and other stuff

In Decaying winter's dark lore and gameplay, you have to remember that in every dark and horrible place there is always a light. It may be big or small, but there's always that one light that makes you forget, even for a moment, that you're in this Dark place. Keep on fighting Agents.
kinda like half life 2 retail. This is why Half life 2 beta astethic doesnt work for a half life game, its just TOO dark and gritty. It could work, maybe if you ad that elemnt of hopefulness to it while still retaining that beta atetchic, but i dont really think anyone has done that.

The Scavengers and Yosef, The Raiders and their Queen, the Reikgon and their cultists. They didn't raise their weapons in aggravation and attack, they raised them as tribute. To a soldier fighting their way to live. To keep themself and their friends safe. To someone, who had lost it all. Taking injury after injury, death after death... They stook tall, and honored the AGENTS. Honored their sworn enemy, for their dedication. Eden-227 laid their weapons to rest, and listened to the music. For once, the storm didn't come. No blood was shed. The Drifter, mask above his nose, sighed in peace at last, standing and wiping the falling snow from his clothing. He nodded thanks to Red, and walked off into the oncoming storm, never to be seen again. It was his time. Not to die, nor to lose everything. But to return to the ones he loved. Respirator in hand, he leaves for a shuttle beyond the walls of the confinement, returning home to the Agency, and his friends. Eden-227 laid their weapons to rest, and came to peace. Fighting only dwindled their numbers, so why fight, when you can survive... Together.
The atmosphere this game had is so unique, for me it felt like nostalgic in a relaxing way, cozy maybe. sad to see it gone once again, i didn't it play it a lot, but every time i remembered it, i got hooked for days. 2 Days before it got taken into review i introduced my friends to this game, both of them liked and we played a lot. we got a lot of laughs, it was really fun. Last day, i managed to hit prestige 1 early in the morning, played almost all day. Met some nice people, which sadly i lost, since my game lost connection and i couldn't remember the names Later that day i i managed to get Apostle, somehow. We were 5 guys using Apostle, 3 of us were trying to figure out how to play the class lol, we al most died using melee but oh well, 8 minutes into the round the game got taken under review and that was it for our Winter. I can't stand roblox hipocresy, how does this game come up as "Too much" when combat warriors is literally close to it, even worse sometimes, the only thing that can be seen as too far is the death animation. But well, Combat warriors makes roblox money, Decaying winter doesn't. Also would be nice to have more "mature" games like this, Age restricted maybe? a lot of roblox player like me have grown up, and there's not many games that make me enjoy roblox now, but it's mainly for kids so, i guess that's how it is. I really hope someone takes care of this game and does what it deserves, being released on Steam, or whatever as an "Indie" game, priced even, it's worth it. I'll miss Arbiter, thank you.
It's true I think roblox doesn't care about combat warriors because of the amount of players because if the games goes under review many people would protest about this and roblox would have a hectic time dealing with it and also I think that combat warriors also make a lot of money for roblox they probably didn't care about decaying winter they just focused on the cons I can't stand roblox's bullshit not thinking about the community all they think about is money and combat warriors is the game that has that. I was about to show the game to my friend and i js found out it got taken down now I'm sad that the game I played everyday is gone ,the only game that made me smile with horror and ptsd ,now it's gone and Roblox has no other replacement that give me the same joy that this game had.

Calm night always makes me cry. Seriously speaking, it makes me think about those 3 years I spent playing Decaying Winter, enjoying it. Or I start to think that when time passes I will remember this song and say * What a good time, another thing would be that when I am going to die I would listen to this song, I really think that and I start to cry very hard, it's like it makes me remember How nice it was to play without worries, and etc.
I remember one specific run i had with a few randoms. We fought amd bonded together for only those short 10 days together in game. We lost a few agents along the way (most left after dying) but 2 of em stuck by my side the whole way through. We all decided to live one life that run to keep with some semblance of realism. All 3 of us survived to day nine, but we all were out of the meds needed to combat the infection by that point. The other two were still going strong at stage 2 infection, but i was on stage 4... The final day passed by and still no meds to slow or halt it for me. I sat down by the red storage unit as the others watched. "I'm going to die, but I die with pride knowing I got to fight alongside you guys." I succumbed to the infection a few moments later, leaving everything I had to them... To the other agents reading through this know one thing. Look out for each other, help the others whenever possible. Because when the storm comes and the night falls. The only thing you can do is work together.
"My final melody is for everyone to hear." As a fallen agent sat on a chair. The young girl promised to play his melody after he had passed for everyone to hear. As he laid there, playing his music, everything was calm. Calm before the storm. As everyone looked towards the skies, embracing the only calmness they would ever have on this planet, the melody finally ended. As laid there, stopping as his final breaths took place, the young girl replayed his melody. "Thank you for listening youngin." The agent said as he finally past away. As the young girl played, everything was more calm throughout the entire battlefield where thousands had died before. For everything she lost, now her only caretaker, she could only do one thing for him, play his final melody.
You know, I was never a fan of these types of games. But damn, was effort and soul put into this game. Absolutely a favorite (even if I suck ass at it being a FPS gamer). Along with what a lot of people have said, there is always this feeling of impending doom. You’re an agent stranded on a planet which is barely habitable. You’re surrounded by demons (Skinners, Cloak (forgot the name), Hangers, Sicklers). Their screeches turn your courage to fear. Fear you got use to. The Scavs thirsty for supplies. Their rifles, pistols, melees, shotguns, traded on you. The death of your teammates damages your mental fortitude. The hanger wishing death upon you. The lab. Everything. The game managed and nailed a narrative. A narrative, you can’t find in Roblox games anymore. This song, is the rapping and the bow of the gift we have been given. Great work devs.

This song is from Decaying Winter huh? I GOTTA play that game. The reason that would be,is this song actually saved me from suicide. So there was just me being alone as always,gaming and playing some roblox,talkin/tradin on discord.then,i asked a random guy his priv.. He let me in to his private server and let me use the new code he got. Suddenly i asked him one day if he wanted to be friends. I had no friends at that time and i was in a terrible shape. We also didnt talk much after multiple times of asking to let me in his private server. He said yes. I was very happy to finally have a friend. We did tradings,helped each other,grinded together and some of his friends even came to the priv and they became my friends too. That gone trough for like 2 months. I had so much fun i didnt even think about anything but that,my grades got better,my personality got better and stuff,heck i even started to be more healthy. One day,we got to a little game he wanted to show me on roblox. The name was,Warm Isolation. We hanged out on that game for a couple of weeks and role played. Never role played before and got pretty much good into it but i never even thought of it. He asked me if i wanted to even role play and i said sure. And we built up LORE and everything. Honestly,it was true friendship and the lore was let me tell you,Dark as hell. One of his (my friend's) friend came over to the server time. He was our son as we roleplayed. We even made some jokes on the way of times. Good memories.. One time,we were on dc being goofballs to each other while playing. Me and his friends were a gc in discord so we was sending memes and stuff on chat. Once we were in a real bad situation cuz one of his friends were kind of an asshole to one of our friends so all of us roasted him. I was fking around and then it started to me. I was roastin him and shi but then we were in good after.didnt think much of it tho. My friend on the other side tho became a bit weirder and weirder.he stopped talking more to me,and became a bit more rude over time so i asked if he was alright. He said he was fine but as he was my friend as one who helped me out in a very bad situation,i was very over throwing the situation and got very worried and asked it like 4 times. Then one day the gc was goofin around and we brought up the drama that happened.he got mad about it and him and o started arguing,and since he had the mod he banned me from the gc. I laughed about it and told my bro "ay bro i think i just got banned from the gc xDDDDDDDDD" and he responded "well no shit" i typed xD like 6 times cuz i was laughing like hell and he said can you stop and he only seen 4 of those xD's and the 2 got send in wrong time and he seemd me like i didnt give a shit so he got really mad at me and told me he would block me.i said "fake ass? XDDD" as a joke as we would type shit like that all the time but i typed it pretty nervously. Then...boom. 1 and a half productive time of friend ship,gone. He blocked me. There was littearly no reason in my life anymore as it seemed.i actually even started smoking and it got back to my down fall. I was on the verge of quitting everything and even..well killing myself. I had no hope and was really really fucking tired after like 1 week of that. I started playing Warm isolation as for the simbol of Nostalgia..But then when i finally cried for 2 hours straight,and was about to go onto the road of like going and ending it all,i came across this song. Guess what? This fucking master piece made me build up and just go to sleep instead of commiting the big S. Day after day,24/7 listened to it and got my shit together. Coming back to this song everyday will always make me feel a thing i cant explain and drive through my head every single memory of beind with them and makes me also remember what situation i came back from. When going around rampaging in Decaying Winter, I always risk my life to return her guitar and listen to her song one last time before my health runs out, it calms me down and puts me in a relaxed state, and it forces me to remember beautiful things in my life
got this idea and decided to bring it to life. As the scavenger horde closes in on me, I remember what I’m fighting for. Micheal died with one last swing of his blade, decapitating three scavengers, but the rest, already desensitized, didn’t even flinch. Jacob threw every last one of his bombs at the scavengers, but it backfired once he got cornered, and detonated the explosives far too late, splitting his skull in half. Mariah barely escaped a bad situation, but her arm blade broke and one too many scavengers took notice. Jack, sledgehammer in hand, used the last of his calamity serum, and charged into the scavengers to save my life when we both got cornered. I won’t let their deaths be in vain. But it just seemed hopeless, every one I kill, three more attack. I can’t be sure if it was luck or not, but my last tickspider killed enough for the rest to be manageable. It’s over. It’s finally over. Bleeding all over, with my leg broken and my arm nearly suffering the same fate, I limp out of the safe zone. I put on my emergency gas mask and disappear into the storm, carrying the weight of my dead team. And then I found her, sitting on top of the tower as always, guitar to the side of her. She’s the last alive person I trust. She jumps at the sight of me, having arrived at the most unexpected time. She sees my condition, and can’t help but ask, “Why are you out in the storm like this?” I respond “I have one last request.” She looks at me worryingly. She looks for a medical kit in her backpack, but find nothing. Me and her both know what is going to happen to me. “Can you play one last time for me?” She agrees, saying “I’ll do anything for someone who’s gone through so much.” She seems to know what happened just from the absence of my team. She then played her music. I watch her fingers go across the guitar, playing each and every note perfectly. That night for me, it all fell silent. Everything around me came to a full stop, as my eyes slowly begin to close for one final, eternal rest. I avenged my fallen team, and that is enough for me to finally embrace death, which has finally caught up to me.

This song was the reason i ever got a guitar and it was the first song i ever learned i fell in love with decaying winter about over a year ago i was tier 43 in the last stranders with 6k bonds and then all of a sudden DW was put under review i was confused but luckily it is back and it's just as fun as it was a year ago this song captures the vibe of decaying winter perfectly and man did it feel good after i learned the song fully so i can just sit on my bed and play it for sometimes over an hour because i have nothing better to do but i never regret a second of playing it or the game and this will be song played at my funeral
My night 10 experience It was me, Abronic, Ian, and Erick Night 9 was going absolutely amazing. We easily made it through and were on track for victory. Then night 10 started. 2 minutes into the battle, erick died from a grenade. Ian also died moments later. Abronic was at 20 hp, in the sideroom trynna find the green stem. And there was I. I was alone with a ppsh. In 9 seconds, i destroyed yosef and continued all alone because abronic died because of a sniper. Finally, i cleared the remaining scavs and it was all over. This victory laid the foundation for my journey to decaying winter. We killed sickler, attempted to assassinate sledge queen and had loads of fun on the way. *Echo playback complete*
(Read this with the music in the video and enjoy) *commencing ECHO playback* Night 10 John, Jacob, Mary, Sandra and I were healing almost in celebration, for the distress signal was sent. The sledge queen of the scavs was dead, we had our respirators, and the agency said they would send a ship to pick us up immediately and bring us back to base. But that was when we heard a devastating sound. The footsteps of a hundred man army, angry that their leader had fallen. We rounded up our ammo, put on what little armour we had left, and prepared to fight the battle of our lives. We heard a commanding voice shouting for the scavs to attack. And that was when all hell let loose. Sandra, the Lazarus, made use of her device's remaining power and Lazarus buffed. John rushed in with his Decimator and attempted to perform an area shock, but it was all in vain for he was immediately bleeding out on the ground from all the bullets being fired from the scavs' signature weapon, the dreaded AKM. Mary commanded her moths to create a cloud and block their path, but it only slowed them down a little as the moths were torn apart by lead. And a few seconds later, so was she. Jacob, the Blitzer threw all he had until he had nothing left. He took out a lot of them, but he was hit in the head by a 50 cal. bullet, fired by a scav on top of the dirt fortress. My mind flayer launcher had been damaged heavily in combat, but I had run out of mind flayers in the first place. The scavs whose minds were already taken over by my little machines were dead in seconds. Either from their heads exploding or being shot by their former allies. Sandra and I put on the respirators we found in the secret base we raided and ran out into the storm, dodging all the bullets that were flying at us. And that was when we saw it, a ship marked with the agency's logo with two guards alongside it. Taking her hand in mine, we depleted all our energy running towards the ship. Suddenly, Sandra's gas mask was hit, I tried to save her by giving her mine, but it was too late. She had breathed in the radioactive storm and was vomiting blood. The next thing I knew, the two guards that were guarding the entrance of the ship had been shot as well, with no chance of fighting back. The ship exploded in a great yellow light. I turned around, and fought for what little I had left. By the time it was over, I was holding the commander's head in my right hand, for I had lost my left. My ankle was fractured, and I had been stabbed a few times. I went to the top of the tower, using my right hand to climb. And that is when I saw her. A girl with a bandaged hand, a friend that I had met while looting on the fourth night. When she saw me in my state, she reached into her backpack and looked for an IFAK or any type of medication, but in vain. She couldn't help me. Nobody could, and so I told her my last request before I went. I told her to play her guitar for me one last time, for I also played the guitar back on the planet we call home, Earth. She began to play as I lay on the ground, slowly fading away from consciousness. That is my story, and to whoever activated this ECHO playback, find her and thank her for me, and good luck surviving on this god forsaken planet. *ECHO playback complete*

“A calm night” What ever year it was in decaying winter lmfao, Eden-227 A lone drifter, cloaked in the winter of Eden-227 found a guitar. He waved and screamed: “Whos guitar is this?!” A girl on the top of the Tower waved and said: “Its mine, Can you bring it back please?!” The drifter ofcourse did, and said: “Can you play me a song?” The girl said: “Of course, Agent.” The sniper on the castle aimed at the drifter, but didnt shoot and listened to the song. Sledge Queen also hesitated to kill them, because of the calm song. One sniper didnt though, and tried to kill the drifter. He missed, but the drifter didnt care. He was only happy he found a soul, in the cold winters. The drifter said: “Your playing very well!” The girl in response said: “Thanks a lot, Agent!” The agent looked at his device and saw that the storm is coming, but hesitated to leave. The girl said: “Hey, you should get going.. 12 seconds before the storm comes.” Agent in response said: “What about it?” The girl in response said: “You have to get going, the storm is contaminated. Drifter: “And?” The storm came but the drifter didnt leave. The girl put her respirator on, but the drifter didnt leave. He was poisoned by the storm, and died on the spot. “Pax in morte, Agent.”
Been in something of a writing block for a while now, but as I recently came as close as i've gotten to getting the Extraction ending, I felt an itch to try again. Been a Hivemind main pretty much since I was able to pick a class, i'm a simple guy so I suppose it makes sense. Liked to think there was a bit more to the swarm than just a pack of funky looking wasps, not 100% on the lore of Decaying Winter either, so I did my best based on what I knew off the top of my head. Anyway, enough waffle. Something was coming, he could feel it as surely as the invariable chill present in his bones, the swarm at his back buzzed in agitation, or maybe it was apprehension? They'd been with him so long, relying on one another for survival from the elements, the scavengers, the monsters and so much more. There had been others, once. Others like him, those with gifts, a gauntlet that created deafening explosions, a defibrillator that spat in the face of death, a sword that stole lifeforce from severed heads but each of them was cursed with an even crueller fate, existence on Eden-227. So when he found himself out of luck, out of allies and counting down the seconds until the storm arrived for one final sweep. He reflected on the time he'd met someone, not one of the stranded like him, no, in truth he didn't really know who she was. But she'd looked him in the eye through the visor of his helmet, strummed the guitar in her arms and began to play. The AGENT device wrapped to his wrist flickered to life, clinging to its own life much like him. He tapped through the screens before settling on an audio file and pressed play. He heard the guitar strum, the swarm on his back settled once again. With a dull pop, he detached the tube and set it beside him, the thousands of insects swirling within the green container. He rested his arm atop it and closed his eyes, letting the guitar play him out. A wasp buzzed to a corpse laid on its back in the snow, a green tube by its side. Though the bones had been picked clean and only scraps of armour remained beneath the snow, there was a weak, orange glow from one of its arms. A small screen that refused to go out quiet yet. The wasp stared into the screen, captivated by this unusual warm embrace though it could not read the screen, a thought occurred deep within the insects’ brain, a memory from a long time gone. God.. listening to this makes me cry, i regret not playing this amazing game earlier. I only got to play in the last three months, but im grateful i got to enjoy the game, Whether it be alone or a server full of friends, i had so much fun. Rest in peace decaying winter, this was inevitable due to the mature content in the game. (Lynching, smoking, alcohol, drugs, excessive gore, the reset button, mental torture etc.,)
You are the last agent remaining on Eden-227. You have went through the toughest of times. You stand there, realizing it was all for nothing. You find another lost soul, sitting in a chair with a guitar. You sit down and relax, while she plays her song. You sit there relaxed, for the first time in years. As the storm closes in, your soul drifts off into the abyss. As you’re sitting there, she pats you on the back, and says “farewell poor soul”. Remembering everyone you met along the way, you go and join them.
This is a story i came up with so dont judge Echo Playback Starting Now. it was a deadly storm outside our base.Zach got us the respirators and we headed out to escape from this dreadful planet after beating yosef.... Unfortunately for me,Zach,Kevin,Lily and floria. we are surrounded by countless scavs and next thing we know we are attacked by a bunch of scavs.There was no lazarus amongst us and we have very little ammo. so we decided to fight using our remaining guns and our ability. Zach used his drifter Ability to Kill 4 scavs but it was not even close to how much scavs we are facing at and after his cloak is over he was shotted in the arm,Luckiliy he made it to the pavises i created with supplies to heal himself. Kevin uses his Tickspider to Explode The enemies he could have successfully killed 20% of the enemy if he didnt make a mistake and spawned a single blue tickspider that has smaller explosion and one of the scavs threw a bomb and he exploded with a heroic pose Lily killed some enemies with Throwing knives but She only had 3 and she switched to her backup plan the Arbiter she had on her wrist.she did took a lot of enemies with her precise longshot but she got killed by a sledger scav that made her head spurt out so many blood. Floria used her Kira blade and took out many opponents but when she took 30 scavs by herself i can tell shes heavily injured luckily for her she kept many medical suppplies in her backpack but she still died by a Ak-47 scav and me and zach can only do nothing but watch her body get torn to shred by a rainstorm of lead. Me and zach were the only ones who were left we cried and cried because we couldnt do nothing but watch our crew die trying to save us.By that time i had enough of the scavs slaughtering my friends so i grabbed my Maria And used the armour i had left.i injected the stims i had to my body and used my berserker.I killed 50 scavenger without backing down but when a sniper was gonna shoot me Zach pushed me and shielded me from the bullet with his heart... he said something to me:i know you can kill them all...remember what we told you " Even if The others are dead Do not let Sadness take over yoir minds... you can do i-. I Cried and cried trying to give hin treatment and by the time it was over..i still cried because i keep thinking of the good memories i had with them. I smoked a koldera black to kill my Sadness but it didnt work.i Cried and cried untill days have passed untill i heard a noise at the tower.i went up there and saw this girl with hands covered in bandage.she said her name was red and she was looking for her guitar,i searched in my backpack and found the guitar.With a smile she Grabbed the guitar and preparing to play it i was gonna leave her alone but when she played this song i couldnt help but stay and close my eyes and imagine i was in a quiet happy place the music really cheered me up. The ship arrived 2 hours later and i packed my things i asked her to come but she said she will stick along on this planet and play the guitar.i bid her farewell and went back to earth. For anyone who is reading this... Im at earth and i shipped a echo playback at Eden 227.If you hear this. Please find the girl and send this message to her "Thank you for calming me,Red. ever since i discovered this i return the guitar every run regardless if its unwise to do so, i just feel good whenever i return it, just to put my weapons down, sit down, and let my fears and worries drift away, even if its only for a minute or so

It fits for Decaying Winter because Decaying Winter has the feel of: "You hoard supplies as your silently going past enemies with them unaware. Then you fighting for your life against multiple people as the Agency gets more and more desperate to kill you, even sending out one of their best men into the battlefield on wave 10." The agency didn't send the agent to kill you, the agent betrayed the agency for some odd reason, the scavengers you fight are his like team. Also why would the agency send a dropship to pick you up if they want you dead?

Decaying winter was one of the best if not the best games on roblox i expierienced, this song trully belongs to dw. It gives of that sad vibe of accepting your own fate and deciding to settle for that one last time Sit down, listen to music and enjoy the last moments just to see everyone on the other side Truly a masterpiece
I've only been introduced to Decaying Winter about two weeks before the game got taken down, when a friend that really likes absurdly difficult games decided to show me something I can sink my teeth into after I asked him for reccomendations. Getting to know the game from the ground up was an experience I have never felt in roblox, and despite the bugs and occasional bullshit deaths I still loved the game to it's core. All the references from other games or series I loved, like Tarkov, Hunt showdown, fucking ULTRAKILL of all things, and mainly Madness Combat. I understood almost all of the references and reused assets, and I loved it every time. I mostly solo's the game because I didn't trust public lobbies to not instantly kill themselves on spawning, and only played with that one friend who has beaten the true ending and all that. The farthest I got into the game solo was night 8 as Arbiter, and it was a thrill like nothing. Going out into the scav war with the music blasted up to full so I hype myself up and slaughtering everything in sight with longshots is just pure adrenaline, and the night after that is also filled with a lot of great moments, most of them being stupid deaths fully on my end, since I had no idea how to parry at the time. The farthest I got into the game in total was actually night 10 with that friend, and we died immediately. He was pissed off, but I was happy to even get to that point, and had more than enough confidence to get past the final night. After that, I learned how to parry almost every time perfectly, found out about sledge queen, about the true ending and how to start it... And after all that, I was busy with larping and concerts for a week. When I came back, I got to play once on a school computer where I usually didn't get far thanks to no audio. And that run, where I got to night 7, was my last run in this game, with me having zero idea that this is it. Next day, I wake up, and check the DW/AA discord to see it in ruin, as the game was taken down. I didn't believe it at the moment, but after checking myself, it was indeed,under review. I.... don't really remember how I felt, even if it was like five days ago. I guess I felt sad that I didn't get to see everything. I did pledge once, and was eager to get all the cosmetics. But I also understood why it happenned, because roblox did take it down 9 months ago, and the community's reaction seems to bethe same, even for the second time. I never got to the lab, I never got to even meet sledge queen, I never got to kill yosef, and never got to see the true ending for myself, as I am holding myself back from watching any spoilers to this day. I know nobody will read this, cuz this comment section is filled with posts like these, but I thought to at least get this out there, so Idon't forget, and that I can look back and see how I felt after Zym's current project is finished, as hope is being restored again. The reason it fits so well with decaying winter is you can feel the loss and abandonment,but at some points you fell peace and happy if you can understand the unspoken lyrics,it’s sad but joyful it respects fallen friends and comrades while also showing new ones,I just wanted to say this and get this of my chest to say this to someone who understands decaying winter thanks for reading. :)
But it doesn't fit well. Sure, it might fit somewhat well but it was used way better in CP77. (because CP77 is basically a 10x better game). Decaying winter is made by a hack plagarist bad person, you shouldn't feel sad.

Every 5 Agents running toward their base as The Strom chasing them 1 Agent barely survive but end up die His last word is "Give a girl a guitar and you'll be fine" with a smile on his face he die in a peace 4 Agents trying to survive but little did they know one of them has a grenade 1 Scav shoot the grenade causing an explosion 3 Agents remaining open their eyes to see guts and blood from that Agent 3 Agents then survive with a cripple leg and a trauma haunting them 2 of them are dead in a honorable deads leaving 1 Agent lives Stroms end... He grabs a guitar he found on a locker and finds a girl sitting in the tower alone Agent : Excuse me Red : Oh my gosh you are insanely injured! Agent : This is nothing,could you do me a favor? Red : I think i could? Agent : Play a song please... Red : okay... And so the song begin and the last agent sat there listening to the song and say "You're wises is granted,Myvo..." And then dies with a smile Im writing this while crying btw :')
With a broken arm, punctured lung, broken leg the agent sat there. "Happy to protect you yougins, it was a honour fighting with you" as the zealot held his shield up one more time and placed a turret. It was over. The agents watching from the back were in utter shock and sadness that their one and only protecter has perished. The zealot lied there barely even conscious as one agent plays a final song for the zealot, as he dies with a smile.
Today 9 may 2023 Decaying winter got errased. This game gave me infinite moments of happiness, gave me friends, a way to be happier everyday. This game help me to be a happy person, since i been diagnosticted whit depression this game was the everything to me and i cannot be more sad knowing that maybe im not gonna be able to play anymore. After listening to this and reading the other stories people write, i think i finally understand the true horrors of morale, and losing your friends in the horror of Eden-227. Song perfectly describes it too, just leaving us with the feelings of lost hope and somehow, just the slightest happiness.

when i listen to it it just makes me feel loosing the people who i care for, them helping me survive through all the problems i had. Now the enemies are gone, no one to kill me, but i fear one thing, my long lost friends who sacrificed their life for me and im now here alone slowly dying from the coldness and im alone... no one to comfort me...
My friends always do this thing where if we die, we leave the game and mute in vc. It adds to the immersion sort of since we only get so little time to play together, it really feels like a loss when one of us dies. (I know that this makes the game hell but isn't that the point?)
This song is the perfect example of what a master pice decaying winter is. The emotional roller coster it sends you on. The calm knowing death awaits you with artery, morale, broken limbs. The panic of seeing a sickler chase after you. I have only played this game for a few weeks but my respect for this game is bigger than anything else I have played. No robux advantages, grinding, just straight up survival. I pay tribute to this game and all my fallen comrades.

This is my second time typing this out. This song legit makes me want to cry, and not many songs can do that to me. Beautiful. So beautiful. Especially when you take into account what happens in the actual game. You and a group of people stranded in winter on a fallout style crossroads map. Fighting various factions for survival. Scavenging for resources in the wasteland in which everyone has died, you and a few rivals are all that remain. Not to even mention what happens in the true ending. This game makes you realize the hardships of life. Makes you overcome them. That’s what makes the music all so saddening.
Thinking back on this now, listening to it. And reading all the comments, emotional moments I’ve seen and heard, all the Tragic Demises… it hurts, makes me want to Tear Up. Just shows how touching the song makes every moment feel.

They then shook their head "no matter,we still got help and hope with all the supplies we brought" they finally approached the ship and went inside feeling a little relieved but they still had to wait, so 3 of them went out to defend and prepare for any threat with the 2 people sent to rescue them.The 2 inside named Excelsior the Zealot and Icarus the Arbiter talking about stuff to do for when they return,and what they'll do after that,they get interrupted by a girl named Spectral the Lazarus shouting to get prepared "Hey guys!Hostiles are approaching the ship in all sides" so they picked up their weapons and necessities and went out to help,a large amount of scavs and raiders are pouring to the evacuation site like a powerwasher, somehow striked a deal and worked together very awkwardly,guns and swords in hand,the agents now prepared. Pierrot the Riskrunner shot the first shot,nailing a scav with a pistol to the head,then everyone started firing,the scavs injuring Nova the Apostle in the process he screamed "AH fuck fuck FUCK,I got shot,I NEED Immediate MEDICAL ASSISTANCE,ohhhhh god they shot me in the hip" Spectral quickly used her ability to numb pain and passed a medkit to heal Nova "got you,now get up,we still need the Shadows if someone ever dies" "haha don't worry,we WON'T need them, we're all gonna make it after all" while the 2 talked they get suppressed,Excelsior meanwhile was already trying to rush to the front to deploy his turret,he then gets nailed right at the shoulders then falls down, "AHHH shit that was the dumbest decision I've made in my-" before finishing his sentence he then gets shot at the head killing him instantly "EXU! NO!" Yelled Pierrot, everyone then gets that horrific sound that they didn't want to hear on this operation "an agent on your team is down" Morale was going down.They keep shooting and shooting,bodies start to pile up and the 2 rescue agents also down for the count the first one through getting shot by an enemy with an AK and the other getting slashed, Pierrot brought out his Minigun, anger only going through his mind ignoring the team's advice to not peak,he threw a tear gas then started mowing down half of the enemies,he didn't care which was which team,all he wanted was to avenge his friend"THIS IS FOR HIM! EAT SHIT!" Nova quickly uses Excelsior's cold dead body for a summoning ritual, hurting and sadness on his face,as the enemies continued to fire,he too continued summoning,he did it,his friend as one of his creatures after successfully summoning,Pierrot's big gun was out of the fight,now recharging he equipped his M60 and continued firing mowing down 34 scavengers and injuring 12 of them,a laser was spotted afar, Spectral and Icarus warns Pierrot to not peak out the turret which was in a bad condition,that was the only cover they had and the man who placed it down is already a goner,Icarus after getting preoccupied with 13 close quarters scavengers ignores the remaining 5 to fire a shotshell,punching it to the sniper,Nova on the other hand suppressed the 5 enemies using a h&k ump fighting Icarus,killing 1 of them.after punching the bullet to the sniper,Icarus got bashed in the head by a sledgehammer,he was dying but still alive thanks to the stims and meds he pumped beforehand,Spectral buffs nova and pierrot since Icarus was too far,Nova marked an enemy a sign for Shadows to kill the scavengers targeting Icarus, unsurprisingly killing all 4 and then proceed to focus on the ranged scavs,Pierrot kept firing and killing,the turret broke down,and Spectral numbing Nova's pain,Pierrot gets done in by a group focusing on him with his last moments he thought "I wonder if the others are okay, they'll probably manage somehow..." "PIERROT!!!" Icarus screams, Spectral frantically tells Nova to summon another Shadow,Stress levels are high but Spectral's was higher,she picked up Icarus,patched him up to barely able to swing a weapon,she dual wielded a peacemaker and an ajm9 started firing at the scavs and raiders"FUCK ALL OF YOU",she didn't mind who was who,right now all she cared about was buying time for Nova and Icarus.10 minutes till evac process was done. Nova finally summoned another one,the 1st Shadow gets bashed and shot at by 16 different scavs,dying after taking out 4,and the other taking control of the situation,Nova gets surprise attacked by a melee raider with a shield and an axe,his arm gets hit and is now bleeding,Spectral was all out of meds and decided to grab supplies on the crates,but gets shot on the back by another enemy with an Ak,her dying words "I'm-...sor" she muttered.Her final thoughts "if there's ever a next life,I wish to see you again in it"as she falls down, she smiled painfully and closed her eyes for one last time,Icarus upon seeing what has happened,was now enraged,he shotshelled the raider who killed Spectral,he was barely standing,the 2nd Shadow killed 8 more reducing the number of scavs to 10, now preoccupied with 6 melee and 4 range enemies,Nova crawls back to the ship to grab pierrot's other gun,he couldn't see well because of all the bleeding,Icarus rushed over to nova trying to help the bleeding man,"Icarus, don't, it's no use, I'm already a goner.....I- don't have alot of words to say right now but it....was fun...we were sent on a suicide mission.....and-and we persisted all through th-that......but pro-promi-promise me one thing before I go -cough cough- promise me... that you'll live through this cold hell...I won't ask much but give us nice graves hah-..." Nova finally lets go of Icarus's sleeve. With that Nova gets done in from the bleeding, And the thing Icarus feared the most happened again, losing everyone he cared for. While he was holding Nova's lifeless body,the 2nd Shadow got shot and stabbed to death but not before killing all 4 ranged raiders "I was right,this was no normal mission...they dropped us here with NOTHING! we-....we were sent here to die,a suicide mission,pointless deaths and I remain.... yet there are still many motherfuckers infront of me........all my friends are DEAD! AND I,I won't END IT LIKE THIS,EVEN IF I DIE I WILL TAKE YOU ALL DOWN WITH ME TO THE BOTTOM PITS OF HELL! I WILL! I MUST! AND I HAVE TO! COME AND GET ME YOU BASTARDS! EITHER I OR ALL OF YOU WILL FALL" Icarus screams. "EAT SHIT!" *Sounds of gun fire* As the lone agent started firing two scavengers were shot in the middle of the head,seconds after,four rushed to the agent not caring about a thing,as they too,have been abandoned after everything fell apart.The agent proceeded to shotshell and again,started firing at the enemies,he didn't care if he got hurt,all he wanted to do was kill the bastards that killed his comrades,his friends. *Gun clicks* Icarus all alone,struggling to move finally took out the 5th scav but not enough to take out the 6th,the scav proceeded to stab him with a knife to the chest,that was the finishing blow or so the scav thought,Icarus used the last of his strength to shotshell the poor bastard in the cranium,he took the knife out his chest and fell down,multiple wounds, multiple thoughts going through his head,multiple emotions felt and he couldn't do anything about it,"is this gonna be the end?" He thought, unfortunately for him that seems to be the case.With the freezing cold and his rapidly declining body,he finally succumbed to death's sweet release after uttering faintly "I'm s-so-sorry.......everyone...I-I......" as the last of of his breath went out so too his consciousness. Only the winter and the decaying bodies remain. As the battle continues one survivor was left standing no more guns no ammo not even a single enemy but when they sat down thinking about a calm night guitar at hand they start playing reminding of them of there fallen comrads and think about there ghost watching prowd as they were last as the new night continues they finally get some sleep and dreams about other outcomes on what will happen if the others survived but not them

For an hour, the scavengers and their queen looked up to the sky and paid their respect not an enemy, but a fighter who'd lost everything. The music resonated through the planet into the mountains where The Reikgons listened and were never seen again. Through the cold winter and the trauma of losing his friends.The Apostle was finally at peace with his betrayal .The Apostle closed his eyes and to the sound of the music passed away peacefully. Shadow hunters, who had stayed loyal to The Apostle and his mission, rised up from the ground to give their final goodbyes and vanished like the rest of their Reikgon brothers.

The Apostle then woke up,to find that he was nowhere familiar and that he had no clue where he was. He searched for days on end just trying to find an escape,or a clue where he was. He remembered the song he had played and the Rekigon from the night before,but still had no clue what had happened or what will happen. He played the night before in his head a million times before eventually he had given up. There wasn't an ounce of energy inside him. He felt he would lay there a million years,so he did.
With no escape to this endless hell,he tried playing the song in his head. The only thing he could have remembered was his name,and the night beforehand.
An absolute legend.
Truly a great of gaming, which at the time of the "final" shutdown, I hadn't played much and had regretted it. Now that it's back up, I'm glad that this masterpiece of gameplay, customization, lore, and so much more has returned for the foreseeable future, and we can only hope it isn't forced to close again.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s great that a whole new community adopted and fell in love with this song, I just wish more people knew that this song is from an entirely different game, and was renamed and integrated with this game. The song is actually “Kerry’s Song” from Cyberpunk 2077, and was one of the most memorable parts of the game. No change of scenery will ever compare to being so many hours in to such a beautiful game and relaxing on a yacht listening to Kerry play this into the sunset.

Although I only started playing Decaying Winter 4 days ago, I can say confidently that this is one of the best I've ever played. Compared to most games nowadays, Decaying Winter stands out immensely. The games' quality and overall design is unmatched. It's unfortunate that the main game got taken down. It'll be even more unfortunate if the other standalone version gets taken down as well. Agents, enjoy the game while it lasts. You may never know when it'll be your last time experiencing this amazing game.

What makes this song good, exactly?
As it has already been said countless times, the best part about this song is how it fits into Decaying Winter's incredibly action-packed gameplay and its incredibly tragic lore, and acts as a middle ground between the two, not really picking a side in terms of tone, opting for invoking a feeling of finality. It works incredibly well, as it's grounded in the feasibility of someone just playing this song in Eden-227, while also having a really nice melody. Overall, its main strength how it acts as a bridge between the lore and the gameplay, which was already executed fairly well, imitating how tragic war can be while also imitating how glorified it is in some forms of media. I love it.

A 17 yr teenage boy sits in his room. Living the life no one ever had wanted. Fighting parents, mother a drunk and father a wiped out waste. And he has a younger sibling, 12 ye old girl. As this boy sits in his room he starts to hear his parents fight like every other night but then hears a faint cry from the room beside his. His siblings room. He walks in to see her crying and he calms her and comforts her. He sits there and to help her sleep he chooses to soothe out his parents yelling with some music. He grabs the guitar that sits in her room and tunes it up. Starts to play the strings one by one playing this song you hear now reading this. As she listens and smiles she sees she’s not alone and he realizes he has a reason to life. As he plays the night away watching and waiting for his sibling to finally rest. He kisses her head and cover her with the blanket. Resting the guitar down and walks back to his room.

With deep sorrow we’ve come to know that as of 10/5/2023, Decaying Winter an action and horror packed Wave based shooter/Survival game on Roblox, is witnessing its second Graphic content review and is currently unavailable for online play. Hyper, the admin of the AA/DW server, had announced that if the content review goes through, that the game will not be reinstated. As painful as this may be to many agents and fans of the game, let’s look back on all the good or bad memories we’ve made playing the game, all the friends we’ve made and bonds we’ve created.
Through all the suicides, funny ragdolls, sickler jumpscares and joyful cheers of victory we’ve achieved. On behalf of every agent out there I can say with sheer confidence that this game has helped many of us in more ways than one, and we are all truly thankful to the creators and moderators that have worked hard to keep this game alive for as long as it has.
Looking back now, it feels like only yesterday when I first played the game with all of my closest friends, but that was a whole year and a half ago now. With that said, all the clips, all the wins and losses I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing will forever remain a core memory inside of my mind, and I’m sure anyone else reading this would feel the same way.
And to all the fellow agents out there, our journey has come to a bitter end, and our mission is finally complete.
As of right now, all we can do is pray for the best, but if worst comes to worse, then Rest in peace Decaying Winter, you will forever live in our hearts.
Well, shit happens, atleast we had something to look back now. It was fun while it lasted, farewell, Agents.
I will miss having morale, struggling with scav wars and white shirts, failing to do the evaluation and many more. Once the restoring summer ends our winter will decay once again.

I remember back when decaying winter got deleted and everyone panicked as well sent their respects to the game. I was one of them, I wasn't an experienced player. In fact, I just got introduced to it by my friends and played it only once. The week after that it got deleted. I felt kind of sad, but now knowing that the game has been restored, I thank the person who did it. The only thing sad left is that the devs didn't decide to continue working on the game and quitted it.
Actually the game was supposed to be "finished" a while ago so the 3 new perks drifter, apostle, and crosslink all were never supposed to happen since the dev didn't want to work on it since bad code.
But they felt bad for the community that was dedicated and loyal to playing it so they added a bunch of changes and balances and other stuff

In Decaying winter's dark lore and gameplay, you have to remember that in every dark and horrible place there is always a light. It may be big or small, but there's always that one light that makes you forget, even for a moment, that you're in this Dark place.

To someone, who had lost it all. Taking injury after injury, death after death... They stook tall, and honored the AGENTS. Honored their sworn enemy, for their dedication. Eden-227 laid their weapons to rest, and listened to the music. For once, the storm didn't come. No blood was shed.
The Drifter, mask above his nose, sighed in peace at last, standing and wiping the falling snow from his clothing. He nodded thanks to Red, and walked off into the oncoming storm, never to be seen again. It was his time. Not to die, nor to lose everything. But to return to the ones he loved. Respirator in hand, he leaves for a shuttle beyond the walls of the confinement, returning home to the Agency, and his friends.
Eden-227 laid their weapons to rest, and came to peace. Fighting only dwindled their numbers, so why fight, when you can survive... Together.

2 Days before it got taken into review i introduced my friends to this game, both of them liked and we played a lot.
we got a lot of laughs, it was really fun.
Last day, i managed to hit prestige 1 early in the morning, played almost all day.
Met some nice people, which sadly i lost, since my game lost connection and i couldn't remember the names
Later that day i i managed to get Apostle, somehow.
We were 5 guys using Apostle, 3 of us were trying to figure out how to play the class lol, we al most died using melee but oh well,
8 minutes into the round the game got taken under review and that was it for our Winter.
I can't stand roblox hipocresy, how does this game come up as "Too much" when combat warriors is literally close to it, even worse sometimes,
the only thing that can be seen as too far is the death animation. But well, Combat warriors makes roblox money, Decaying winter doesn't.
Also would be nice to have more "mature" games like this, Age restricted maybe? a lot of roblox player like me have grown up, and there's not many games that make me enjoy roblox now, but it's mainly for kids so, i guess that's how it is.
I really hope someone takes care of this game and does what it deserves, being released on Steam, or whatever as an "Indie" game, priced even, it's worth it.

It's true I think roblox doesn't care about combat warriors because of the amount of players because if the games goes under review many people would protest about this and roblox would have a hectic time dealing with it and also I think that combat warriors also make a lot of money for roblox they probably didn't care about decaying winter they just focused on the cons I can't stand roblox's bullshit not thinking about the community all they think about is money and combat warriors is the game that has that. Calm night always makes me cry. Seriously speaking, it makes me think about those 3 years I spent playing Decaying Winter, enjoying it. Or I start to think that when time passes I will remember this song and say * What a good time, another thing would be that when I am going to die I would listen to this song, I really think that and I start to cry very hard, it's like it makes me remember How nice it was to play without worries, and etc.
I remember one specific run i had with a few randoms. We fought amd bonded together for only those short 10 days together in game. We lost a few agents along the way (most left after dying) but 2 of em stuck by my side the whole way through.
We all decided to live one life that run to keep with some semblance of realism. All 3 of us survived to day nine, but we all were out of the meds needed to combat the infection by that point. The other two were still going strong at stage 2 infection, but i was on stage 4...
The final day passed by and still no meds to slow or halt it for me. I sat down by the red storage unit as the others watched.
"I'm going to die, but I die with pride knowing I got to fight alongside you guys."
I succumbed to the infection a few moments later, leaving everything I had to them...
To the other agents reading through this know one thing. Look out for each other, help the others whenever possible. Because when the storm comes and the night falls.

You know, I was never a fan of these types of games. But damn, was effort and soul put into this game. Absolutely a favorite (even if I suck ass at it being a FPS gamer). Along with what a lot of people have said, there is always this feeling of impending doom. You’re an agent stranded on a planet which is barely habitable. You’re surrounded by demons (Skinners, Cloak (forgot the name), Hangers, Sicklers). Their screeches turn your courage to fear. Fear you got use to. The Scavs thirsty for supplies. Their rifles, pistols, melees, shotguns, traded on you. The death of your teammates damages your mental fortitude. The hanger wishing death upon you. The lab. Everything. The game managed and nailed a narrative. A narrative, you can’t find in Roblox games anymore. This song, is the rapping and the bow of the gift we have been given. Great work devs.

The reason that would be,is this song actually saved me from suicide. So there was just me being alone as always,gaming and playing some roblox,talkin/tradin on discord.then,i asked a random guy his priv..
He let me in to his private server and let me use the new code he got. Suddenly i asked him one day if he wanted to be friends. I had no friends at that time and i was in a terrible shape. We also didnt talk much after multiple times of asking to let me in his private server. He said yes. I was very happy to finally have a friend. We did tradings,helped each other,grinded together and some of his friends even came to the priv and they became my friends too. That gone trough for like 2 months. I had so much fun i didnt even think about anything but that,my grades got better,my personality got better and stuff,heck i even started to be more healthy. One day,we got to a little game he wanted to show me on roblox. The name was,Warm Isolation. We hanged out on that game for a couple of weeks and role played. Never role played before and got pretty much good into it but i never even thought of it. He asked me if i wanted to even role play and i said sure. And we built up LORE and everything. Honestly,it was true friendship and the lore was let me tell you,Dark as hell. One of his (my friend's) friend came over to the server time. He was our son as we roleplayed. We even made some jokes on the way of times. Good memories..
One time,we were on dc being goofballs to each other while playing. Me and his friends were a gc in discord so we was sending memes and stuff on chat. Once we were in a real bad situation cuz one of his friends were kind of an asshole to one of our friends so all of us roasted him. I was fking around and then it started to me. I was roastin him and shi but then we were in good after.didnt think much of it tho. My friend on the other side tho became a bit weirder and weirder.he stopped talking more to me,and became a bit more rude over time so i asked if he was alright. He said he was fine but as he was my friend as one who helped me out in a very bad situation,i was very over throwing the situation and got very worried and asked it like 4 times. Then one day the gc was goofin around and we brought up the drama that happened.he got mad about it and him and o started arguing,and since he had the mod he banned me from the gc. I laughed about it and told my bro "ay bro i think i just got banned from the gc xDDDDDDDDD" and he responded "well no shit" i typed xD like 6 times cuz i was laughing like hell and he said can you stop and he only seen 4 of those xD's and the 2 got send in wrong time and he seemd me like i didnt give a shit so he got really mad at me and told me he would block me.i said "fake ass? XDDD" as a joke as we would type shit like that all the time but i typed it pretty nervously. Then...boom. 1 and a half productive time of friend ship,gone. He blocked me. There was littearly no reason in my life anymore as it seemed.i actually even started smoking and it got back to my down fall. I was on the verge of quitting everything and even..well killing myself. I had no hope and was really really fucking tired after like 1 week of that. I started playing Warm isolation as for the simbol of Nostalgia..But then when i finally cried for 2 hours straight,and was about to go onto the road of like going and ending it all,i came across this song. Guess what? This fucking master piece made me build up and just go to sleep instead of commiting the big S. Day after day,24/7 listened to it and got my shit together. Coming back to this song everyday will always make me feel a thing i cant explain and drive through my head every single memory of beind with them and makes me also remember what situation i came back from. Always remember,Life will ALWAYS get you in shitty places. But you shall never quit trying to get out if them,or else you will regret it.

got this idea and decided to bring it to life.
As the scavenger horde closes in on me, I remember what I’m fighting for.
Micheal died with one last swing of his blade, decapitating three scavengers, but the rest, already desensitized, didn’t even flinch.
Jacob threw every last one of his bombs at the scavengers, but it backfired once he got cornered, and detonated the explosives far too late, splitting his skull in half.
Mariah barely escaped a bad situation, but her arm blade broke and one too many scavengers took notice.
Jack, sledgehammer in hand, used the last of his calamity serum, and charged into the scavengers to save my life when we both got cornered.
I won’t let their deaths be in vain. But it just seemed hopeless, every one I kill, three more attack. I can’t be sure if it was luck or not, but my last tickspider killed enough for the rest to be manageable.
It’s over. It’s finally over. Bleeding all over, with my leg broken and my arm nearly suffering the same fate, I limp out of the safe zone. I put on my emergency gas mask and disappear into the storm, carrying the weight of my dead team.
And then I found her, sitting on top of the tower as always, guitar to the side of her. She’s the last alive person I trust. She jumps at the sight of me, having arrived at the most unexpected time. She sees my condition, and can’t help but ask, “Why are you out in the storm like this?” I respond “I have one last request.” She looks at me worryingly. She looks for a medical kit in her backpack, but find nothing. Me and her both know what is going to happen to me. “Can you play one last time for me?” She agrees, saying “I’ll do anything for someone who’s gone through so much.” She seems to know what happened just from the absence of my team.
She then played her music. I watch her fingers go across the guitar, playing each and every note perfectly. That night for me, it all fell silent. Everything around me came to a full stop, as my eyes slowly begin to close for one final, eternal rest. I avenged my fallen team, and that is enough for me to finally embrace death, which has finally caught up to me.

This song was the reason i ever got a guitar and it was the first song i ever learned i fell in love with decaying winter about over a year ago i was tier 43 in the last stranders with 6k bonds and then all of a sudden DW was put under review i was confused but luckily it is back and it's just as fun as it was a year ago this song captures the vibe of decaying winter perfectly and man did it feel good after i learned the song fully so i can just sit on my bed and play it for sometimes over an hour because i have nothing better to do but i never regret a second of playing it or the game and this will be song played at my funeral
My night 10 experience
It was me, Abronic, Ian, and Erick
Night 9 was going absolutely amazing. We easily made it through and were on track for victory. Then night 10 started. 2 minutes into the battle, erick died from a grenade. Ian also died moments later. Abronic was at 20 hp, in the sideroom trynna find the green stem. And there was I. I was alone with a ppsh. In 9 seconds, i destroyed yosef and continued all alone because abronic died because of a sniper. Finally, i cleared the remaining scavs and it was all over. This victory laid the foundation for my journey to decaying winter. We killed sickler, attempted to assassinate sledge queen and had loads of fun on the way.

Night 10
John, Jacob, Mary, Sandra and I were healing almost in celebration, for the distress signal was sent. The sledge queen of the scavs was dead, we had our respirators, and the agency said they would send a ship to pick us up immediately and bring us back to base. But that was when we heard a devastating sound. The footsteps of a hundred man army, angry that their leader had fallen.
We rounded up our ammo, put on what little armour we had left, and prepared to fight the battle of our lives. We heard a commanding voice shouting for the scavs to attack. And that was when all hell let loose.
Sandra, the Lazarus, made use of her device's remaining power and Lazarus buffed. John rushed in with his Decimator and attempted to perform an area shock, but it was all in vain for he was immediately bleeding out on the ground from all the bullets being fired from the scavs' signature weapon, the dreaded AKM.
Mary commanded her moths to create a cloud and block their path, but it only slowed them down a little as the moths were torn apart by lead. And a few seconds later, so was she. Jacob, the Blitzer threw all he had until he had nothing left. He took out a lot of them, but he was hit in the head by a 50 cal. bullet, fired by a scav on top of the dirt fortress.
My mind flayer launcher had been damaged heavily in combat, but I had run out of mind flayers in the first place. The scavs whose minds were already taken over by my little machines were dead in seconds. Either from their heads exploding or being shot by their former allies.
Sandra and I put on the respirators we found in the secret base we raided and ran out into the storm, dodging all the bullets that were flying at us. And that was when we saw it, a ship marked with the agency's logo with two guards alongside it. Taking her hand in mine, we depleted all our energy running towards the ship. Suddenly, Sandra's gas mask was hit, I tried to save her by giving her mine, but it was too late. She had breathed in the radioactive storm and was vomiting blood. The next thing I knew, the two guards that were guarding the entrance of the ship had been shot as well, with no chance of fighting back.
The ship exploded in a great yellow light. I turned around, and fought for what little I had left. By the time it was over, I was holding the commander's head in my right hand, for I had lost my left. My ankle was fractured, and I had been stabbed a few times.
I went to the top of the tower, using my right hand to climb. And that is when I saw her. A girl with a bandaged hand, a friend that I had met while looting on the fourth night. When she saw me in my state, she reached into her backpack and looked for an IFAK or any type of medication, but in vain.
She couldn't help me. Nobody could, and so I told her my last request before I went. I told her to play her guitar for me one last time, for I also played the guitar back on the planet we call home, Earth. She began to play as I lay on the ground, slowly fading away from consciousness.
That is my story, and to whoever activated this ECHO playback, find her and thank her for me, and good luck surviving on this god forsaken planet.

One sniper didnt though, and tried to kill the drifter. He missed, but the drifter didnt care.

The agent looked at his device and saw that the storm is coming, but hesitated to leave.
The girl said:

“You have to get going, the storm is contaminated.
Drifter:
“And?”
The storm came but the drifter didnt leave.
The girl put her respirator on, but the drifter didnt leave.
He was poisoned by the storm, and died on the spot.

Been in something of a writing block for a while now, but as I recently came as close as i've gotten to getting the Extraction ending, I felt an itch to try again.
Been a Hivemind main pretty much since I was able to pick a class, i'm a simple guy so I suppose it makes sense. Liked to think there was a bit more to the swarm than just a pack of funky looking wasps, not 100% on the lore of Decaying Winter either, so I did my best based on what I knew off the top of my head. Anyway, enough waffle.
Something was coming, he could feel it as surely as the invariable chill present in his bones, the swarm at his back buzzed in agitation, or maybe it was apprehension? They'd been with him so long, relying on one another for survival from the elements, the scavengers, the monsters and so much more.
There had been others, once. Others like him, those with gifts, a gauntlet that created deafening explosions, a defibrillator that spat in the face of death, a sword that stole lifeforce from severed heads but each of them was cursed with an even crueller fate, existence on Eden-227. So when he found himself out of luck, out of allies and counting down the seconds until the storm arrived for one final sweep. He reflected on the time he'd met someone, not one of the stranded like him, no, in truth he didn't really know who she was. But she'd looked him in the eye through the visor of his helmet, strummed the guitar in her arms and began to play.
The AGENT device wrapped to his wrist flickered to life, clinging to its own life much like him. He tapped through the screens before settling on an audio file and pressed play. He heard the guitar strum, the swarm on his back settled once again. With a dull pop, he detached the tube and set it beside him, the thousands of insects swirling within the green container. He rested his arm atop it and closed his eyes, letting the guitar play him out.
A wasp buzzed to a corpse laid on its back in the snow, a green tube by its side. Though the bones had been picked clean and only scraps of armour remained beneath the snow, there was a weak, orange glow from one of its arms. A small screen that refused to go out quiet yet. The wasp stared into the screen, captivated by this unusual warm embrace though it could not read the screen, a thought occurred deep within the insects’ brain, a memory from a long time gone.

You find another lost soul, sitting in a chair with a guitar. You sit down and relax, while she plays her song. You sit there relaxed, for the first time in years. As the storm closes in, your soul drifts off into the abyss. As you’re sitting there, she pats you on the back, and says “farewell poor soul”. Remembering everyone you met along the way, you go and join them.

it was a deadly storm outside our base.Zach got us the respirators and we headed out to escape from this dreadful planet after beating yosef....
Unfortunately for me,Zach,Kevin,Lily and floria.
we are surrounded by countless scavs and next thing we know we are attacked by a bunch of scavs.There was no lazarus amongst us and we have very little ammo.
so we decided to fight using our remaining guns and our ability.
Zach used his drifter Ability to Kill 4 scavs but it was not even close to how much scavs we are facing at and after his cloak is over he was shotted in the arm,Luckiliy he made it to the pavises i created with supplies to heal himself.
Kevin uses his Tickspider to Explode The enemies he could have successfully killed 20% of the enemy if he didnt make a mistake and spawned a single blue tickspider that has smaller explosion and one of the scavs threw a bomb and he exploded with a heroic pose
Lily killed some enemies with
Throwing knives but She only had 3 and she switched to her backup plan the Arbiter she had on her wrist.she did took a lot of enemies with her precise longshot but she got killed by a sledger scav that made her head spurt out so many blood.
Floria used her Kira blade and took out many opponents but when she took 30 scavs by herself i can tell shes heavily injured luckily for her she kept many medical suppplies in her backpack but she still died by a Ak-47 scav and me and zach can only do nothing but watch her body get torn to shred by a rainstorm of lead.

I Cried and cried trying to give hin treatment and by the time it was over..i still cried because i keep thinking of the good memories i had with them.
I smoked a koldera black to kill my Sadness but it didnt work.i
Cried and cried untill days have passed untill i heard a noise at the tower.i went up there and saw this girl with hands covered in bandage.she said her name was red and she was looking for her guitar,i searched in my backpack and found the guitar.With a smile she Grabbed the guitar and preparing to play it i was gonna leave her alone but when she played this song i couldnt help but stay and close my eyes and imagine i was in a quiet happy place the music really cheered me up.
The ship arrived 2 hours later and i packed my things i asked her to come but she said she will stick along on this planet and play the guitar.i bid her farewell and went back to earth.

This song fits the need of an intense battle won with so little to lose as you either die in this hell, or survive barely getting out of it. It fits for Decaying Winter because Decaying Winter has the feel of: "You hoard supplies as your silently going past enemies with them unaware. Then you fighting for your life against multiple people as the Agency gets more and more desperate to kill you, even sending out one of their best men into the battlefield on wave 10."

The agency didn't send the agent to kill you, the agent betrayed the agency for some odd reason, the scavengers you fight are his like team. Also why would the agency send a dropship to pick you up if they want you dead?

Decaying winter was one of the best if not the best games on roblox i expierienced, this song trully belongs to dw. It gives of that sad vibe of accepting your own fate and deciding to settle for that one last time

Truly a masterpiece
I've only been introduced to Decaying Winter about two weeks before the game got taken down, when a friend that really likes absurdly difficult games decided to show me something I can sink my teeth into after I asked him for reccomendations.
Getting to know the game from the ground up was an experience I have never felt in roblox, and despite the bugs and occasional bullshit deaths I still loved the game to it's core.
All the references from other games or series I loved, like Tarkov, Hunt showdown, fucking ULTRAKILL of all things, and mainly Madness Combat. I understood almost all of the references and reused assets, and I loved it every time.
I mostly solo's the game because I didn't trust public lobbies to not instantly kill themselves on spawning, and only played with that one friend who has beaten the true ending and all that.
The farthest I got into the game solo was night 8 as Arbiter, and it was a thrill like nothing. Going out into the scav war with the music blasted up to full so I hype myself up and slaughtering everything in sight with longshots is just pure adrenaline, and the night after that is also filled with a lot of great moments, most of them being stupid deaths fully on my end, since I had no idea how to parry at the time.
The farthest I got into the game in total was actually night 10 with that friend, and we died immediately. He was pissed off, but I was happy to even get to that point, and had more than enough confidence to get past the final night.
After that, I learned how to parry almost every time perfectly, found out about sledge queen, about the true ending and how to start it...
And after all that, I was busy with larping and concerts for a week.
When I came back, I got to play once on a school computer where I usually didn't get far thanks to no audio. And that run, where I got to night 7, was my last run in this game, with me having zero idea that this is it.
Next day, I wake up, and check the DW/AA discord to see it in ruin, as the game was taken down. I didn't believe it at the moment, but after checking myself, it was indeed,under review.
I.... don't really remember how I felt, even if it was like five days ago. I guess I felt sad that I didn't get to see everything. I did pledge once, and was eager to get all the cosmetics. But I also understood why it happenned, because roblox did take it down 9 months ago, and the community's reaction seems to bethe same, even for the second time.
I never got to the lab, I never got to even meet sledge queen, I never got to kill yosef, and never got to see the true ending for myself, as I am holding myself back from watching any spoilers to this day.
I know nobody will read this, cuz this comment section is filled with posts like these, but I thought to at least get this out there, so Idon't forget, and that I can look back and see how I felt after Zym's current project is finished, as hope is being restored again.

The agents watching from the back were in utter shock and sadness that their one and only protecter has perished. The zealot lied there barely even conscious as one agent plays a final song for the zealot, as he dies with a smile.
Today 9 may 2023 Decaying winter got errased. This game gave me infinite moments of happiness, gave me friends, a way to be happier everyday. This game help me to be a happy person, since i been diagnosticted whit depression this game was the everything to me and i cannot be more sad knowing that maybe im not gonna be able to play anymore. I'll remember this game for eternity. RIP Decaying Winter- Best game on roblox.

My friends always do this thing where if we die, we leave the game and mute in vc. It adds to the immersion sort of since we only get so little time to play together, it really feels like a loss when one of us dies. (I know that this makes the game hell but isn't that the point?)
This song is the perfect example of what a master pice decaying winter is. The emotional roller coster it sends you on. The calm knowing death awaits you with artery, morale, broken limbs. The panic of seeing a sickler chase after you. I have only played this game for a few weeks but my respect for this game is bigger than anything else I have played. No robux advantages, grinding, just straight up survival. I pay tribute to this game and all my fallen comrades.

You and a group of people stranded in winter on a fallout style crossroads map. Fighting various factions for survival. Scavenging for resources in the wasteland in which everyone has died, you and a few rivals are all that remain.
Not to even mention what happens in the true ending.
This game makes you realize the hardships of life. Makes you overcome them. That’s what makes the music all so saddening.
Thinking back on this now, listening to it. And reading all the comments, emotional moments I’ve seen and heard, all the Tragic Demises… it hurts, makes me want to Tear Up. Just shows how touching the song makes every moment feel.

The 5 agents sent on the mission started preparing after finally activating the evacuation protocol,they attach their respirators and dashed after hearing that evac arrived, picking up everything they can,after finally seeing the rescue ship,they cheered in unison,some crying some hyped, thinking they can finally go home,they see the 2 people on the ship waving at them,one of them thought to themself "why did they only send two people to help us?" They then shook their head "no matter,we still got help and hope with all the supplies we brought" they finally approached the ship and went inside feeling a little relieved but they still had to wait, so 3 of them went out to defend and prepare for any threat with the 2 people sent to rescue them.The 2 inside named Excelsior the Zealot and Icarus the Arbiter talking about stuff to do for when they return,and what they'll do after that,they get interrupted by a girl named Spectral the Lazarus shouting to get prepared "Hey guys!Hostiles are approaching the ship in all sides" so they picked up their weapons and necessities and went out to help,a large amount of scavs and raiders are pouring to the evacuation site like a powerwasher, somehow striked a deal and worked together very awkwardly,guns and swords in hand,the agents now prepared. Pierrot the Riskrunner shot the first shot,nailing a scav with a pistol to the head,then everyone started firing,the scavs injuring Nova the Apostle in the process he screamed "AH fuck fuck FUCK,I got shot,I NEED Immediate MEDICAL ASSISTANCE,ohhhhh god they shot me in the hip" Spectral quickly used her ability to numb pain and passed a medkit to heal Nova "got you,now get up,we still need the Shadows if someone ever dies" "haha don't worry,we WON'T need them, we're all gonna make it after all" while the 2 talked they get suppressed,Excelsior meanwhile was already trying to rush to the front to deploy his turret,he then gets nailed right at the shoulders then falls down, "AHHH shit that was the dumbest decision I've made in my-" before finishing his sentence he then gets shot at the head killing him instantly "EXU! NO!" Yelled Pierrot, everyone then gets that horrific sound that they didn't want to hear on this operation "an agent on your team is down" Morale was going down.They keep shooting and shooting,bodies start to pile up and the 2 rescue agents also down for the count the first one through getting shot by an enemy with an AK and the other getting slashed, Pierrot brought out his Minigun, anger only going through his mind ignoring the team's advice to not peak,he threw a tear gas then started mowing down half of the enemies,he didn't care which was which team,all he wanted was to avenge his friend"THIS IS FOR HIM! EAT SHIT!" Nova quickly uses Excelsior's cold dead body for a summoning ritual, hurting and sadness on his face,as the enemies continued to fire,he too continued summoning,he did it,his friend as one of his creatures after successfully summoning,Pierrot's big gun was out of the fight,now recharging he equipped his M60 and continued firing mowing down 34 scavengers and injuring 12 of them,a laser was spotted afar, Spectral and Icarus warns Pierrot to not peak out the turret which was in a bad condition,that was the only cover they had and the man who placed it down is already a goner,Icarus after getting preoccupied with 13 close quarters scavengers ignores the remaining 5 to fire a shotshell,punching it to the sniper,Nova on the other hand suppressed the 5 enemies using a h&k ump fighting Icarus,killing 1 of them.after punching the bullet to the sniper,Icarus got bashed in the head by a sledgehammer,he was dying but still alive thanks to the stims and meds he pumped beforehand,Spectral buffs nova and pierrot since Icarus was too far,Nova marked an enemy a sign for Shadows to kill the scavengers targeting Icarus, unsurprisingly killing all 4 and then proceed to focus on the ranged scavs,Pierrot kept firing and killing,the turret broke down,and Spectral numbing Nova's pain,Pierrot gets done in by a group focusing on him with his last moments he thought "I wonder if the others are okay, they'll probably manage somehow..." "PIERROT!!!" Icarus screams, Spectral frantically tells Nova to summon another Shadow,Stress levels are high but Spectral's was higher,she picked up Icarus,patched him up to barely able to swing a weapon,she dual wielded a peacemaker and an ajm9 started firing at the scavs and raiders"FUCK ALL OF YOU",she didn't mind who was who,right now all she cared about was buying time for Nova and Icarus.10 minutes till evac process was done. Nova finally summoned another one,the 1st Shadow gets bashed and shot at by 16 different scavs,dying after taking out 4,and the other taking control of the situation,Nova gets surprise attacked by a melee raider with a shield and an axe,his arm gets hit and is now bleeding,Spectral was all out of meds and decided to grab supplies on the crates,but gets shot on the back by another enemy with an Ak,her dying words "I'm-...sor" she muttered.Her final thoughts "if there's ever a next life,I wish to see you again in it"as she falls down, she smiled painfully and closed her eyes for one last time,Icarus upon seeing what has happened,was now enraged,he shotshelled the raider who killed Spectral,he was barely standing,the 2nd Shadow killed 8 more reducing the number of scavs to 10, now preoccupied with 6 melee and 4 range enemies,Nova crawls back to the ship to grab pierrot's other gun,he couldn't see well because of all the bleeding,Icarus rushed over to nova trying to help the bleeding man,"Icarus, don't, it's no use, I'm already a goner.....I- don't have alot of words to say right now but it....was fun...we were sent on a suicide mission.....and-and we persisted all through th-that......but pro-promi-promise me one thing before I go -cough cough- promise me... that you'll live through this cold hell...I won't ask much but give us nice graves hah-..." Nova finally lets go of Icarus's sleeve. With that Nova gets done in from the bleeding, And the thing Icarus feared the most happened again, losing everyone he cared for. While he was holding Nova's lifeless body,the 2nd Shadow got shot and stabbed to death but not before killing all 4 ranged raiders
"I was right,this was no normal mission...they dropped us here with NOTHING! we-....we were sent here to die,a suicide mission,pointless deaths and I remain.... yet there are still many motherfuckers infront of me........all my friends are DEAD! AND I,I won't END IT LIKE THIS,EVEN IF I DIE I WILL TAKE YOU ALL DOWN WITH ME TO THE BOTTOM PITS OF HELL! I WILL! I MUST! AND I HAVE TO! COME AND GET ME YOU BASTARDS! EITHER I OR ALL OF YOU WILL FALL" Icarus screams.
"EAT SHIT!"
*Sounds of gun fire*
As the lone agent started firing two scavengers were shot in the middle of the head,seconds after,four rushed to the agent not caring about a thing,as they too,have been abandoned after everything fell apart.The agent proceeded to shotshell and again,started firing at the enemies,he didn't care if he got hurt,all he wanted to do was kill the bastards that killed his comrades,his friends.
*Gun clicks*
Icarus all alone,struggling to move finally took out the 5th scav but not enough to take out the 6th,the scav proceeded to stab him with a knife to the chest,that was the finishing blow or so the scav thought,Icarus used the last of his strength to shotshell the poor bastard in the cranium,he took the knife out his chest and fell down,multiple wounds, multiple thoughts going through his head,multiple emotions felt and he couldn't do anything about it,"is this gonna be the end?" He thought, unfortunately for him that seems to be the case.With the freezing cold and his rapidly declining body,he finally succumbed to death's sweet release after uttering faintly
"I'm s-so-sorry.......everyone...I-I......" as the last of of his breath went out so too his consciousness.
Only the winter and the decaying bodies remain.
