  • One of Vietnam's top leaders has resigned, just weeks after the President quit.
The head of parliament is the latest senior figure to leave office, amid an anti-corruption crackdown.
Analysts say the political crisis could have implications for Vietnam's economy, one of the fastest growing in the region.
    Al Jazeera’s Jessica Washington reports.

“The amount of violations of human rights in a country is always an inverse function of the amount of complaints about human rights violations heard from there. The greater the number of complaints being aired, the better protected are human rights in that country.” ― Daniel Patrick Moynihan. Isn't it interesting that Aljaeera doesn't air, any news from its home country of Qatar ?

Of course these guys has to go, because they gained power during the extremely corrupt period.

Could Vietnam represent the future of communism? Will it demonstrate how a communist country can effectively engage with others of different ideologies? Might Vietnam serve as a bridge between democracy and authoritarianism?

Some argue that Vietnam is strongly combating corruption, however, it is essentially a power struggle, internal purges. Vietnam's current political situation is more unstable than ever, chaotic, when everyone is corrupt, you can understand what is happening.
