  • Before you watch this video, please be reminded that this is a family trip, and this reel consists mainly of highlights.
Generally, an overseas trip with young kids is not a holiday but more of a chance in scenery to care for them.
So do factor in the shenanigans that are not shown in the video.
    Otherwise, watch on!

Hi Adrian, great vid! Im travelling to Melbourne in Aug with my family (Twin 5yo gals). Which are the must go places and which are the places which you think can skip or overrated?

Thanks! Mount Buller is a must-go if one intend to ski but it is a much smaller ski mountain compared to many.
GOR has great chill vibes. If I can redo, I probably would spend more time there. Also places are so far in between. Commute takes a huge chunk of time which I sorely underestimated.
I would skip the zoo unless you intend to spend more for the safari tram. (I didn’t)
Melbourne city I won’t bother. Just another expensive city.
Since I don’t want to drink drive, the vineyard was quite a waste of time. 😂
Skip the chocolate factory too. Not worth the commute.
Cheese factory on the other hand is awesome.

@@alvintan2401 I couldn’t fit in Philips Island as it was a 2D1N thing. Hope you have co drivers. I drove alone and it was tiring af. From GRO to Mount Buller is a 5 hours drive. No joke.

@@AdrianTan18 I opted for a day tour by bus to buller I feel it’s safer for the family. But the drive from Philip island to GOR is gona be tiring. Too bad we can’t see the penguins from st kilda pier as it’s closed for Reno, would have saved us the trip to Philip island.

@@alvintan2401 the drive up is actually ok if wheel chain isn’t activated. Because you can only drive so much. Hit a spot you need to park and take their bus into the village.
If you wanna save, rent the gear at the village instead. I did mine at www.discountskihire.com.au/

We rented a 7 seater. A Kia Carnival to be specific. It was sufficient for us and the luggages.
The only part we had to take a bus was when we were up in Mount Buller.
