It's not just all the fees and taxes that FBA Sellers need to pay that causes the prices on Amazon to be so much more expensive than on Temu. It's also the humongous profits that these greedy middleman (FBA Sellers) are taking. Something your video failed to emphasize.
Yeah I don't care about time if it's cheaper I'll wait I am in no hurry depending what I order, also Temu doesn't charge me fees to purchase things the taxes are outrageous you got to purchase a product of at least 20 bucks to get free shipping but that's fine normal I always purchase something 20 or more.
I dont like your cheap video đ how does that feel?
â@@ahmetgunduz4159The Temu and SheIn problem .
It's a data theft business . They are malware.
They are owned by CCP officials.
If you've ever browsed through social media, chances are you've come across advertisements that seem to offer pretty good deals. And when you click through, you find yourself on a Chinese marketplace. One of these is Shein, a fashion retail company based in Nanjing, China. The other is Temu, an online marketplace similar to Amazon, but based out of China, and with most of its goods shipped directly from China. These companies are now coming under scrutiny, both in the United States and in the European Union. And as the controversy unfolds, there's a chance policies could affect them in a similar way to the Tik Tok restrictions.
As a buyer it is annoying when I order something from Amazon to find out the seller bought it from Temu! This is why I rarely order from Amazon anymore. đą
Yup thatâs whatâs happening
Also, amazon prime shipping is a joke anymore and you can find prices cheaper on mfgs website sometimes bc amazon builds in the prime cost into the goods tgey sell which causes them to be expensive
Same! I was an Amazon junkie, until I found Temu! Only purchase bulk cleaning & toiletries from Amazon..

I won't use Temu as they sell compromised poison products and their app. is malware for your phone less than a shopping experience. Some of us ARE exceptions and will stay away from Temu ok?

Ditto. Deleted one of my top sellers and posted the exact same item the next day.
Nowadays, a lot of things you see in stores are actually cheaper than they are on Amazon.
I am not so sure about that, but I have gotten VERY leary about getting aftermarket/3rd party versions sold as OEM on Amazon. On TEMU, I only hope that the 3rd party stuff is made OK and will not be miniature versions of the real thing.
True. Some things are cheaper in store now.
I just get most of my clothes from Costco now. Usually cheaper + I can get a slice of pizza. And Costco quality and warranty is great.

I have been saying it for a long time, the only thing different between Amazon and Temu is the location of the warehouse.
@@dotcom4389 Temu return is pretty simple and easy as well. Most of the times because of the price of the item was so low, they just refund the money without even return the item. No one should buy anything over $25 on Temu then you are taking a risk. Most of my items are $10 and less.
The price difference between the two is rather large.

I never bought anything off Temu.....but, stuff looks really good (!) and is dirt cheap.
I do computer service and IT work. I needed 50 laptop adapters and found them for about $7 each. This is about $1.50 cheaper each vs eBay. The ones I get from eBay always work. The 50 units I received from China were All defective, not one worked. I was told I could get a refund, or replacement, upon shipping the item back. I checked with the major delivery services that ship to China, and the best price I could find to return the items was $600 !!! That's almost double what I paid for them. So in short, I was screwed. I believe the seller one I wouldn't be able to do anything about it, so they shipped defective units.
Oh my goodness thatâs horrible. Iâm sorry that happened to you. I know how it feels. Iâve been screwed many times myself.
Where did u buy the adapters? Amazon or TEMU?
No company name where you bought them from tells not much here. These days all fairly well established online companies has free return on defective items. Itâs Little bit hard to imagine such scenarios where you are being charged for their. Unless you bought from a shady company and got taken by cheap price.
@@Tara-Oziray no company name?? Gee, I thought we were talking about the same company here so it would be obvious. Temu states they offer free returns, but Not on everything, On many things, temu is a middle man, and warranty sometimes comes down to the terms the source is providing to temu. You are right, I bought from a shady company, yes Temu is a shady company. You should look into the lawsuit that the attorney general and the state of Arkansas are bringing against them because they have found out that the tmu app installed on your phone goes to the root level of the programming for the Android or iPhone and it records and sense to them all of the information you type in on your keyboard as well as listening to the mic and operating into the camera. I know these days everybody's collecting some kind of information for marketing, but they are actually collecting keystroke information from the phone so that it can be duplicated and used to steal people's account information. It has been shown that even deleting the app from your phone does not uninstall the spyware that they've installed on the phone. The phone has to have a factory reset to clear that out. Best of luck. đ
Do you think the ones you get from eBay do not come from China too? Everything comes from China
@@cecillec2331 the difference was that they worked... not there they were made. Temu gives you free return on the first item from any order. If you order 10 things, and they're all bad, they cover return shipping on the first item, you have to pay on the others.
These companies remind me of âBuy n Largeâ from the movie WallâąE. We are drunk on cheap disposable goods, this only creates a race to the bottom eventually leading to even lower quality to meet the demand for low prices. The customer service will follow suit.

I agree. DC Politics should create higher level criteria to what imported goods are made of or come from. If thatâs calculated in import fees or this means banning cheap knock-of quality products, the market would be a lot healthier and blossom a more level playing field. You canât trust on commercial giants to protect the market and think of others and the greater good. This is where government should step in to protect consumers, local sellers, employees and all others who are negatively affacted by these race-to-the-bottom competitions. You canât trust on Chinese production criteria either. Someday weâll pay the price of todayâs Chinese bargain. In health issues (paint, plastics), in climate change or increasing US unemployments and bankrupties. Not to mention spiraling values and principles in our humane society. Buying on Temu is not only affecting Amazon, but youâre robbing American business owners and the US economy, so your fellow Americans as well! If we all shop in China and not at our local stores, whatâs left of the American dream?
That is exactly China's intent and we are falling for it.
I think you are spot on with your statement, vert wise
This will make Amazon a crappy flea market

Also they had this program that if you paid for shipping on your own like (through the seller or FedEx or whatever) then, they wouldn't prioritize stocking your products vs. if you used their own logistics program, they kind of force your hand to give them all the details about your seller and shipping.
If you think about it, they also gather everything about you and your customers: what pricing works best, what your customers prefer, what they want improved, how much you spend on advertising, and more...and before you know it (happened to me), they have their own "Amazon branded" product placed right on top of yours, that you cannot possibly compete with because this "new competitor who you also work for" knows everything about you and every move you made

If Temu and Shien have been gaining so much traction against Amazon, of course Amazon has to address this. Craigslist lost out to Facebook by not doing anything.
Iâve been a regular Amazon shopper for over ten years. But in the last year I discovered Temu and SHEIN. I started shopping once a month from each of them. This is how I do it. Iâm particular about my shopping system. Itâs always a balance between a need and a want. First I would need an item. Then I shop for it on Amazon and other US merchants. Since I only shop on Temu once a month I take my time shopping inside US first compare prices compare qualities then scrutinize all these variables with what Temu offers for a third of a price. I pick my items hold them on Temu cart while Iâm still vetting the same items from US sellers. Then almost at the end of the month once Iâve exhausted my research and Temu offers what I think is the best option in all the categories then I click buy. Lately Temus shipping has been speedier. But SHEIN has faster delivery time than Temu.
You must spend hours on this process. Like a part time job.
Maybe if there was a 3rd party website that had honest ratings for Temu products / sellers I would be more inclined to give them a try.
Sethmeth, it can sound like a part time job sometimes but Iâm retired. So time is not an issue to me. Overseeing my spending habit has been a priority even before I retired. I have two grown boys but when they were young I taught them the principle of needs and wants. And they have developed the same habits.
Two days ago I purchased a down alternative bed topper for one of our beds. Went back and forth with it on Amazon Temu. I considered all variables pros and cons between the two. Temu had many non branded toppers your brain gets dizzy sorting them out. Some almost look like the ones on Amazon picture wise and features. In the end I decided to buy one from Amazon because the price was about a few dollars more and if I found something wrong with it I could quickly pack it up and return it no questions asked. Also itâs something Iâll be using for a long time so I decided Amazon was a better seller for it. Every item can be vetted and the consumer ends up the winner. Just needs a bit of effort. And little more dollars in your pocket. đ

Iâve previously set up an account to sell clothing on Amazon. Amazon takes a dollar or two from every single product you sell. And to cover this expense, I will have to raise the price again. In addition, Amazon puts returning items as a priority for its customers. If customers return the goods, the fees Amazon would charge me for it with no refunds to the me. In addition, they charge you warehouse fees if youâre to put your goods in one of their numerous warehouses. Thats another expense to cover. The price of goods are no wonder so high.
Unless Amazon is going to start offering Afterpay instead of Affirm, I'll stick to Temu.
As a buyer from Amazon returns and bulk pallets, there is a huge implication. I don't sell on FBA but I see a TON of abandoned FBA product in the bulk pallets. These are items FBA sellers decided they didn't want to keep paying to inventory and did not want back, or they expired or had some other issue. Amazon doesn't care. They just throw them into the bulk pallets and auction them off for pennies. If Amazon starts deeply undercutting FBA sellers, a lot of FBA sellers will throw up hands and walk away from a LOT of this merchandise, which will eventually flood the bulk pallet sales. The bottom is about to fall out of the bulk pallet sales and all that abandoned FBA stuff is going to flood the channels that resell it. Wow. A tidal wave is coming.
First of all, thank you very much for your videos, they are very interesting and informative. I just start using TEMU and honestly I get very surprised for their prices, I bought a lawn chair from Amazon few days ago and start to regretting. I got the same lawn chair for $55 (for 2 of them) when I paid $60 for 1 in Amazon.
At this point I don't feel sorry for anyone in FBA getting crushed by Amazon. They should have seen this coming years ago and done something about it. Good video!!
They were all too busy trying to chase away other sellers. They don't realize it would come back to them.
Really đź
Yes. I strategically exited 2 years ago as I started seeing hints of Amazon duplicating products, branding them "Amazon", and putting them right on top of my listings. No matter how much I tried, they always had the upper hand. Advertising cost them nothing since it's their own products, and their algorithm always auto adjusted pricing to compete with mine. No way for me to win, and I knew it was only going to get worse from there. So happy I left at the right time!

Please note this, THE PRODUCT PICTURES MAY BE THE SAME BUT THE PRODUCT IS NOT. In most cases, the PRODUCT being sent at a lower price is a cheap, poorly made, or toxic made knock-off. This is true, in fact, as we have done plenty of case studies for this topic. The main thing that is going to happen is that this will hike up the return rate for Amazon, and they will continue to lose money đ°.
Yep. I ordered off temu one time to see what the buzz was and it was all garbage. Temu has no returns. Never again.
You don't know the game. They are the same. Question yourself where those made
Post your case studies as CZcams videos and as long as they are made with decent quality and proper editing, I almost guarantee that your video will generate a huge amount of views
That is the case sometimes I'm sure . However that has not been my personal experience thankfully. I typically use shein. I've never ordered from Temu. Everything I've gotten has been spot on with the exception of 1 item out of at least 40. And that 1 item WAS in fact what I ordered but was not packaged individually as it should have been which ticked me off because of what it was I SHOULD have been and needed to be packaged appropriately as advertised.
Other than that incident I have been pretty satisfied.
I was so grateful for Temu, Shein, DHGates. I could not believe that Amazon sellers are selling the same exact product for 10 times the amount and the best thing is that we get the items in one package. Caribbean people ship from a US Mailbox and the receiving shipping company on the islands charges for each piece which carries up the very high.
Its not seller fault. Seller profit is too low no matter what the price is due to amazon fees. I made sale of 750 CAD in 4 months where amzon fees was 475 CAD. I made only 40$ profit and amazon had made 475$ without doing anything.
@@sham-e-tanhaie Sorry about this is situation. However the reason why Temu and Shein work for the Caribbean region is that they consolidate the items into one package because the Island Freight forwarders charge per shipment.
I guess it's okay for Canada and the US to receive multiple packages because Amazon delivers direct to the house unlike the Islands
Temu and Shein also enjoy free shipping - paid for by citizens of the US and other western nations - because China is classified as an emerging nation under the Universal Postal Union treaty. So, both the products and shipping are heavily subsidized, allowing these platforms to advertise incessantly while undercutting domestic manufacturers.
Block subsidized products and we would have a more fair selling environment.
You know, the mass-production and cheap drop-shipping practices are the problem here. People are just losing sight of what quality and authenticity mean. My company started out selling genuine Wagyu beef from Japan (we are based in Japan BTW) and we recently started a e-commerce focusing on high end 100% authentic, ethically made in Japan kitchenware out of the frustration of not being able to find such products online as all looks the same and impersonal. When you say that building you own website for a better brand recognition youâre right. It takes time though and it is not easy to convey the messages but I strongly believe that only âslowing down a littleâ and not focus only on the price of a product can change the current status of the e-commerce. Am I wrong?
I believe you're right. The mass production of cheap products are attempts to undercut competition. Then when they feel they've taken out the competition, they jack up the prices because people lack choices. Now we're on a global scale race to the bottom.
Tsukushi, you are exactly correct. We do exactly the same, in very high end Cutlery, very high end- scissors and shears at the $75 - $200 price point. Iâve started going back and fourth from Amazon and Temu sense I prefer getting things sooner but some things I can easily wait for too so it works out well for me.
I was so scared to shop from Temu because of all the negative things I read about it, but I took a chance, and Temu has been great. I haven't looked back. I stopped shopping at Amazon because Amazon requires a $35 purchase to get free shipping. Temu only requires $15. Amazon reviews used to be reliable. These days one is more liable to purchase terrible products from Amazon because the bad reviews I think are being censored. When you buy something with an all 5 star ratings and then you get an obvious one star product, it is a big clue. My last purchase from Amazon was a brand new pillow for prone sleepers. It arrived with a lot of hair.I couldn't tell if they were animal or human hairs, but it was so gross. Amazon needs to place a strict standard on their sellers.
Wasted thousands on Amazon FBA. Their ads eat up your budget and then if your product is generic they make an "Amazon Basics" version of it. Even if you make bundles it's a losing battle XD
Great analysis, thanks for the update
true classic tshirts had one of the best ad video.
I'm a temu Man, I and my family, and they have GREAT STUFF WAAAAAAAY cheaper than ANYBODY!!!!
Good advice. Watching from the PHILIPPINES were much of what is in the stores and online also comes out of China.
Tiktok will break the Amazon Monopoly..... Definitely amazon has to reduce cost upto 75%....
Tiktok ?
â@@LevyHappyClapperYeah and Google Marketplace too.
â@@LevyHappyClapperTikTok has a beast of a marketplace. Temu is getting the publicity but TikTok shops are going crazy
How is that possible when tiktok is on the verge of being banned?
Tiktok is Temu

What do you mean by Unbranded cheap products? There are Almost all Chinese producers already have registered their brands on Amazon or in the process of registering.
Factories make "white label" items, which are the same products sold at cost to the venders. Many brands pay extra to put their logos on the pre-made items so they can sell them to customers at a markup. That's how the same item is sold under different names and different prices.
Amazon has already been doing this for a couple years now... Selling items cheap directly from China. I know because I have received the goods after waiting weeks
They weren't cheap so you're wrong. Amazon has been expensive for over a decade no matter where the goods are coming from.
@@CS-uc2oh my order was cheap đ

Great idea to shop on Temu... I didn't knew their business organization before... new subscriber... thanks.
NO. I researched TEMU. Itâs parent company was busted for being used by Chinese Military. Nothing is free. They give such cheap prices because the reL goal is to get into your cell phone. They had to use military level searches to find how the conpany was able to get into your phone undetected. They will be able to turn off the phones of anyone that purchased from them. All at once.
Temu is a child of that company.
Komando Kim has had an astute website for decades, updating people on how to improve your tech life and secure your computers, etc. She and others who help people to navigate programs snd security tested Temu and said to stay the bleep away. Even the military had a hard time finding where and how they breach your phone.
Itâs fine if you donât believe me. I donât want to re-research the details, but the gyst of what I have shared is real.
Competition is good for the consumer
Not for American consumers when the majority of manufacturing is in China. We might get some cheap items, but without jobs it's useless. Duh

I stopped using Amazon because it became a tamu anyway and the service really went down. Now I live in a city where everything needed for living is only a 30 minute walk from my house. Hospital, doctors, shops, work, school, cinema, theatre, art galleries, restaurants. Everything. Great.
If you dont mind my asking, where did you find such a wonderful place?
ebay and amazon is done for sellers . the fees are now ridiculous , you can even make decent profit now hence why is good to build your own brand website it will take time but it worth it .

Identical product PHOTO is not "identical PRODUCT."
right the chinese sites also cheat a lot with that..
You must be drunk lmao you know they buy in bulk from ali express then sell on temu and amazon lol so they are the same product
@@catacocamping874 I'm referring to knock-offs. There are quality made products whose photos are copied to sell cheap imitations.
I no longer shop at Amazon Temu is my friend now. Plus Amazon's prices are really high.

When I was a kid, everything was mail order, and shipping was 6-8 weeks.
I miss paper catalogs with an order form page included. Sadly, paper catalogs are falling by the wayside. It's been taking a while for company web sites to be fully usable however. A fair number of them still suck.
I even still refer to web shopping as mail order. Old habits die hard.
Yes that sucked
Now people can't even wait a week.

So glad I embraced minimalism years ago. I just don't need to buy anything from Amazon unless its a movie or CD. The last thing I bought was a generic PS4 controller for $17. Works great.
This is the exact reason a 30 minute analysis of the FBA model you realize its a bad idea to partner with Amazon
It typically take 12 to 14 days for Temu. And Amazon has not had 2 day delivery in a year. It takes as long as a week to get stuff from Amazon.
I get same day shipping all the time on Amazon. You must not have prime
â@m9xr I have Amazon prime and it has been months since they ever mailed anything I order in 1 to 2 days. Their shipping has become a big issue especially when paying for prime to get 1 to 2 day shipping
I dropped Prime, too expensive, and still get my orders in 2-4 days.
i get most of my amazon orders either same day or next day.
Maybe you live in the middle of nowhere. That would do it.
I've had Prime for years and the 2-day shipping went to a week after Covid. I'm buying more stuff from eBay because of it.
After having Amazon Prime for the past decade we are so used to fast delivery that we aren't interested in waiting 9-11 days for stuff to arrive. We are a Neurodiverse household, purchases are made last minute and need to be here tomorrow. Sometimes I get annoyed at the 2-day shipping, no way I gonna be waiting 9-11 days lol NOPE!
I recently quit FBA and as a consumer I'm only ordering on EBay
There are still ebay sellers shipping from Amazon.
Why ebay?
if Chinese vendor sell their products on AMZ, they will have the same sales tax, referral fees, import tax etc like other existing FBM sellers in the us. How can they have the low price as in Temu and Shein??
If Amz open for chinese vendor they have no profit in the long run? And tons of FBA/FBM sellers will remove their listings from AMZ as they cannot compete the price
They will get everyone over with their usual bare and switch tactics of every tech company.. the cheap fees and exposure to the global higher quality consumers will persuade them. Once enough on-boarded they wil raise fees every year
please research temu they have a business in Cali
just like Amazin has businesses in different states & cities
@@uplayitIlisten and they have very strong ties to the ccp
He just said in the video they will not be paying the import fees.
Amazon is about one thing, that is owning the market. They'll find another way to steal from the employees, they always have. That's how they make money.
Amazon always sticks it to the third-party seller.
Speaking from experience and having built E-commerce websites from scratch, then trying to get traffic, was a very frivolous process endeavor. We sold 10x more product on established platforms because of the traffic. Itâs too expensive to drive buyers to a website that might generate less than 5 sales a month. We had way more scammers trying to buy off our site than anything else. A website is a better marketing tool for small businesses. If youâre serious about moving product, sell where the eyeballs are. eBay has been the most cost effective for a very long time. Itâs a different story for selling/building a âbrandâ with notoriety. If youâve selling the same thing as everyone else you have to compete over buyers.
I love Temu. I never thought that Amazon would ever be jealous of anybody, but apparently Amazon is terrified that Temu can overtake and undercut everything that Amazon does. Which I find hilarious. For a long time, Americans would shop at AliExpress and then resell their items for sometimes 15 to 25 times the actual worth to other Americans. Temu is brilliant that it completely undercut Amazon and all of its associates and their programs! Itâs so funny. I love Temu. I will choose to shop at Temu before I ever choose to shop at Amazon. I love Amazon, but I love Temu more!
Yes, Temu is a game changer. Iâm a loyal customer since its inception( 2020).
AliExpress is better than Temu as the small amount of desirable Chinese product is there and there is one product on TaoBao worth buying but that is actually made from one person and from scratch.
I heard, correct me if Iâm wrong, that the clothing items are very cheaply made and they look nothing like what is pictured. I heard they were a scam company and people were trying to get refunds and there were problems. That is why I havenât ordered. Prices are too good to be true! Please let me know if this information is true or not. Thank you đ
I've bought many clothes, e.g. jumpers, hoodies and am happy with all of them!
You heard! Thatâs the problem as I bought various items from Temu and they are just as good.

I order from Amazon for one reason: speed of delivery, and I live in a small town where few items I need are available. For example, an eye product. The other day I ordered a coyote decoy. I needed both ASAP. No way can I wait to get it from China. Also, I compare products. My 2 TEMU orders were trash, one got lost, it was hell to deal with China, I finally got it, it was trash. The aggravation was more than I cared for. Also, politically, China is poison. When I deal with Amazon, Iâm treated with respect. Iâm hoping China has to start paying huge tariffs. It will be much nicer for the whole world.
A lost Temu shipment is still cheaper than using Amazon đ
What is the difference between Temu USA and Temu Canada? Because TemuCA sells at inflated Canadian prices (not cheap Chinese prices): Amazon is still cheaper. TemuCA is also what seems like their fourth "Grand Opening Sale". Maybe in the US, but Temu Canada isn't what we are looking for.

True classic acrually fits better. Every time i wear one, I get complicated on either having gained muscle or losing weight.
Amazon's logistics are superior for the CUSTOMER - not because of the speed, but because of their tracking system. If you live in apartment building without an intercom, the ONLY way to get packages is to watch Amazon's tracking map & go to the door of your building to meet the driver when they're almost there. Even if you live in a house with a porch, you can still avoid "porch pirates" by using Amazon.
I realize this video was intended for sellers, but if you're a seller, you need to think like a customer. America isn't China. We stopped putting criminals in jail & most package thieves will never be punished. You need to work with Amazon if you want long-term customers. If your products are so cheap that the fees aren't worth paying, we don't want your products anyway. Lots of people order once from Temu or Shein, receive a terrible item made from uncomfortable rayon that doesn't fit & never use those platforms again.
Change the US laws on import taxes ASAP.
oh no, but businesses support this laws. so government will keep supporting it.
Why increase another freaking tax?! Just to screw the consumers further! You are obviously greedy
Increase taxes on goods from china only. This will force suppliers to move to friendly countries to manufacture goods.
Are you Bezos? We consumers are against it. More tax, more cost on consumers.
