How many miles did you go until your first oil change? I usually do my 1st change a bit early to remove any wear metals that might be suspended in the oil from the break-in process that the filter doesn’t always catch.
@deionhughes6867 from my understanding and research that isn't necessarily needed on new engines due to additives and what not, but I know a lot of people do it, but I didn't do it until like 6700 miles.
@@datboifixit1995 top of the fill says 0-20 owners manual says 0-20 but agree it will not hurt the motor to use a 5W-20. At least in the summer then go with the 0-20 for winter. The turbo breaks down the oil faster.
@@motorcitymadman146 2025 has a slightly different engine. it now is a e85/flex fuel engine for all 2025s. Probably results in a different oil viscosity as well. Follow your manual.
Thank you for your video, did you check the oil level the next day? Did it need more or 4.2 qt were enough?
Checked it today, it was good!!
@@datboifixit1995 thank you for letting me know, I will do the oil change by myself and I want to avoid any mistake!

Thanks for the video. But won't it affect the engine warranty if I change the oil myself?
@@xlarin if you're in the US, no it should not
@@datboifixit1995 I'm in Canada.
@@xlarin I don't think it'll void anything if you do your own oil but just google it
wait 5w-30? mine says 0-20.. wouldn't using a non recommened oil type ( 5-30) damage the engine?
First off no it wouldn't and second the recommended is 5-30
