How can the owner sponsor his own club? Wonder if they are found guilty will other clubs start suing them.

      @manjeetrai1787 Před 4 měsíci +7

Of course they can. Lots of clubs do this. Stoke City, Ipswich Town are two examples.

@@manjeetrai1787 Yeah, I agree. The issue is not whether the owner sponsored their own club, the issue is whether they circumvented standard practice in order to effectively move funds from 1 business to another, which is basically fraud. Just sponsoring your own club, so long as it is done through proper channels, is absolutely fine and that is what City are arguing. Problem is, they've clearly muddied the waters by overvaluing their own sponsorship deals. Most clubs actually do the opposite - they undervalue the sponsorship deal in order to give their other business extra exposure, and that is fine within certain parameters. It is not OK to sponsor your club for twice the going rate in order to bring a cash injection from a separate business. I am generally of the opinion that, if there is a loophole in the law, then it might be immoral but it isn't illegal. However, I'm not certain there is a genuine loophole and it is more a wilful manipulation of the law. We have to wait until it has gone through the courts to really arrive at an opinion, but the FA have given themselves much more time to build their case.

TBH there is no other way to compete with the already established big clubs, other than bending the rules. How can you compete with UTD, if they can spend half a billion every summer while you can only spend a fraction of that. The current rules only keep the top clubs at the top, which is what the ESL wanted at the beginning and fans were against it but are OK with these rules. Weird. If there should be a spending and salary cap, it should be the same for all clubs, not different depending on how high on the league you place (and how big you are historically). Actually, allowing the bottom teams to spend more would make more sense, since that would be trying to level the playing field, like drafting in NBA.

Not much will come if it other than a fine for not cooperating and some points deduction for some of the smaller charges but the most serious charges will never be proven as was the case at CAS. For those who think otherwise I suggest you read the CAS outcome as they found no evidence. How is a new panel going to come to a different determination. So many people are are so ill informed or just a bit dim and uneducated in the commercial and legal reality of the world and how matters like this are dealt with. There are 5 charges of multiple instances such as Mancini's contract. Disprove one and all the subsequent charges will fall away. As I say, it's like reading the comments of a bunch of 5 year olds in here. The PL are also investigating back to 2009 even though they did not introduce FFP until 2013 as such how can City have broken rules that were not in place. That will fall at the outset . And no, I'm not a City fan. Just worked across PLC and Equity businesses for many years and have seen how organisations work. As a point, FFP is actually anti competitive in UK law and would prove to be the case were it contested. The PL is an association and subject to UK Law.

The TFF president and the referees gave most of the matches to Galatasaray, they looked after them, they did injustice to other teams, to make Galatasaray the champion and they made it champion. UEFA, FIFA should come and examine the Galatasaray matches in Turkey. There is no right or law in Turkey.

Great show but ManC are tarnished - I'm an ♡Albion☆ fan & hope Klopp is England boss soon as Southgate will boss ManU after Euro24.
The Reds spent 4 times less than ManU/Chelsea in Klopp era but won 2 times more cups including the big one, the UCL which is worth 10 EPL titles as per Bob Paisley's autobiography.
ManC success was built on 115 FFP crimes.
Without that cash doping, Pep wud not have the best squad in the world & he still lost to Real Madrid & England Skipper Jude B. (As per daily mail & MoS sports pages by Souness & Sky Sports pundits S.Warnock & Carra etc)
When Fergie was boss, ManU was the richest club in the world.
Klopp won titles & cups with a moderate budget.
He literally won a cup with 7 - 10 kop kids aged 21 & under, (as per SkySports & Kelly Cates & Melissa Reddy & Jamie Redknapp) during a huge injury crisis in 2024. No boss has done that before vs a hugely expensive Chelsea team. £100M+ signings Enzo F & M Caicedo rejected the Reds as 99% of pundits said LFC wud not win a cup for 3 yrs & miss out in Europe by finishing 6th in league. They said cheap signings Endo & Alexis Mac were average buys.
99% of pundits forgot the Anfield & Kop fans factors. Both improve & grow players a lot. Much More than any other field or fans.
Clough & Sir Alf also won on tiny small club budgets.
    Compare gold to gold, not
    Gold to Iron.
Both are metals but not worth the same.
When comparing bosses or teams, use golf type handicaps please.
Cuz In soccer, budgets matter more than coaching, its a very unfair sport.
But fans become fans as kids & don't understand it as kids.
When they grow up they can't stop supporting their little clubs, who will never be UCL winners.
So they make the Reds thier co-favourite club.
But Why LFC & not ManC?
    Well...
1 - To honour the Hillsborough 99 (or 97 or 96 depending on which way the tragic deaths were counted)
2 - Anfield is most magical field in all sports (ask Rio F of ManU, or Messi & UCL champs Barcelona who lost 0-4, etc)
3 - Only club to have 4 legendary bosses in Shankley - Paisley - Sir Kenny - Klopp.
Only club were fans love bosses more than players.
At the end of the day who stirs ur passions more?
Who makes ur heart beat faster?
Is it the above average looking woman wearing very expensive make up & clothes?
Or do prefer the natural beauty who looks gorgeous with no make up?
Do u prefer natural Maryln Monroe & Mila Kunis in thier pomp (Liverpool FC type beauties)
    or
Viola Davis & Zendaya (ManC type women)?
All 4 are top actresses but who stirs ur passions.
Do u prefer the wild heart pumping rock n roll passion music of Klopps teams or the cold methodical death by a 1000 cuts of Peps teams?
    Klopp is Shankley 2.0
Arne Slot is the next Paisley 2.0
WBA Albion are my local club who i love a lot, but its the reds who stir my passions.
1 UCL win = 10 premier league titles
    1 EPL title = 5 FA Cups
1 FA Cup = 5 of any other cups
As per the Prof Haq maths formula on the B'ham University web site.
I'm glad Jurgen took semi - retirement as his health matters to all reds & small club fans from
    Liverpool to Amritsar &
from West Bromwich to New York
    &
    from Berlin to Buenos Aires.
Quickly Get healthier Jurgen as u will win the world cup with England very soon.
Man Cheaty must be relegated to tier 5 & banned from inward transfers for 5 yrs.
ManC must be punished harder than Juventus & Rangers as they are owned by a state that funded Isiz & Hamaz as per Skys Melissa Reddy & Karveh MSM report's.
Hamaz harmed more than 1000 on Oct 7, 2024 & are known to be anti-LGBTQA+ folk.
Due to the domino Man Cheaty denied Liverpool & ManU & Chelsea & Arsenal etc many titles & many bosses & players lost thier jobs at those clubs.
Cheating is the worst thing in sport's & millions of fans have moved to NFL & T20 cricket as those sport's are much more fair & honest.
    Great reporting !

Man City didn’t offer any defence because there was none. Man City’s only tactic was to obstruct and delay proceedings. Then when it went to CAS they said that the original charges were time-barred. Also Man City objected to every independent Judge at CAS until UEFA gave in and allowed Man City to choose the ‘independent’ judge. That ‘independent’ judge was an oil exec who worked for Dubai owned oil companies.

Course they were right, how can a team that barely filled its own stadium fighting for relegation at bottom of the table, then could be winning the league in the matters of couple years.

What you mean like Blackburn did, not won a trophy for 50 years and averaged 18,000 a game and won the prem after 3 years of Jack Walkers money, keep on crying as you will look a right tit when this case comes back unproven

@@mikedavies9953There's 115 charges, Man City will not come out of this innocent. They will certainly be found guilty on at least one of 115. My bet would be a solid 30+.

I hope they are stripped of some titles, get demoted with immediate effect and are fined into oblivion. Simple.

If found guilty, they should be stripped off all English trophies. The only reason they comply with FFP now was because they cheated in those early years.
