Dynamics: Absolute Dependent Motion Between Two Particles (Cord/Pulley Equations)

  • Many times in Dynamics, you'll need to relate the speeds/accelerations of various objects in a pulley system. We introduce the concept, and then do 3 practice problems to get the hang of it!
    Note: I actually forgot to mention acceleration in this video. What you'll do, is take derivative of each term in the velocity equation, and you'll get the acceleration of each component. Pretty simple!
    Make sure to be extra EXTRA careful with the signs when you plug in values for those accelerations, especially because acceleration is not as easy to visualize as velocity!

    Hey thanks for those highlights on the ropes, i was getting confused on figuring out which pulley goes with which length system.

    Tq so much 🥺 just for that bloody certificate I had to pay so much yet learn everything by my self because my teachers suck at teaching the concepts and do the difficult problems which make no sense to me.
