I love the flavor Sammy adds to this tune.. I love the way he can make even the simplest song sound like a symphony. He gave his all in everything he did. What a great man, and a phenomenal entertainer
Today on tv they said that Michael Jackson was the worlds greatest ever, Sammy Davis Jr. was the Greatest by far he broke down the doors for African American entertainers, I do think that Michael was the best of his generation, but not the best ever.
Underrated????? What part of the world-wide fame, love and adulation and mega stardom did you miss during his 60 yr career.,? Or perhaps you didn't hear about him being dubbed "the world's greatest entertainer" for years. Or being called Mr Wonderful after one of his Broadway shows of the same name. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣❤❤❤❤
As usual Sammy did an outstanding job performing, but I would have love to hear Frank Sinatra's version of this song. Did you know that Quincy Jones originally was going to cut this song with the Chairman of the Board, but produced it for Michael instead?
Very Nice Delivery of the SONG....touching
this song is at the level of the greatest love of all and Still by the Commodores

OMG! I've always loved this song from MJ but, had no clue at all the the G.O.A.T. did a cover of it. SAMMY is the original one name act IMO.
Thank you. I have searched for this for years! Something about the Masters and the way they command the lyrics. Amazing!

@@giggles8963 Sammy cut the bushes and made the trail where there wasn't anything. Michael paved the road.

I have to confess, today's comments made me believe we might be forgetting those who came before.
A most underrated performer!

This would have been up days ago if I didn't have a major computer meltdown.
i was prepared for him to bust out ben based off of the starting melody

Originally for Frank sinatra went to Michael Jackson King of popular music
Fun fact: this was written for him but it went to michael
Nope. They were going to offer it to Sinatra.
I much preferred when Mr. Davis would get down and "cook" with the orchestra. "I luv ya fir thaaat."
