I honestly think just do which one you can do best at and become passionate with it, so far I'm a sort of starter animator using basic software and not advanced ones such as blender or Maya, currently using SFM atm and planning on learning Maya or C4D in the future
If i work in a studio for animation. Would I still be accepted if I work with for instance Cinema 4D but they use Maya? Or would I be needed to learn Maya?

Let me comment, last in this world we are in, there are so many ways of success, you can become an animator and succeed same as coding as well as failing in both, you have to be creative, the world relies of creativity, add something onto what you have learnt and keep it consistent, if your animating a movie,/series / go to companies and make advertisement for them, your will be earning money, don't get stuck in one thinking

I know Cinema 4D is used and known for motion graphics but is it a "bad" idea to use it as a primary animation software to animate short films?

C4D is very capable. Just because most people don't use it as their backbone for character animation doesn't mean it's bad at that. Do you know that After Effects is very capable at character animation too, but most people will tell you "AE can't do this" "AE can't do that"... well, what do they know! I'm an expert in AE and it's mindboggling what you can do with this software.

I also have the same problem as per my knowledge you can learn both hand in hand do the animation courses on other hand learn coding at least 2 hours and better to choose python it is widely used in vfx industry and you can implement python in animation software and also there are software developer in animation companies and tds who are artist+coders hope this is helpful

You can learn in all by practice, but it would be useful to know how some living creatures move and similar stuff. Like timing and easing...
Math fundamentals is very necessary in all aspects of life, including animation!
Even more so if you're rigging a character, I can tell you this much that a good understanding of math, coding, and general problem solving skills is vital.
Now, if you meant complex math equations, most of the time they're not needed in animations.
It's just the fundamentals that are very necessary. But you said problem solving skill isn't needed? Man, I presume you haven't animated much nor anything complex that you can say such thing. Animation is all about workflows & techniques, and as such, problem solving skills are very crucial, even in 2D frame-by-frame animation. If one's problem solving skill is poor, he'll usually end up with longer and more cumbersome workflows, at best, and outright failure in achieving the goal, at worst.
