Dude was so good everybody knows how to say his last name now.
Yeah it really took me about 2.5 years of being a casual before I got the hang of saying it.
Shaq be like:
"Giannis *Antekanupo"* 😆😆
Lmao facts
Akumpo?
THE ALPHABET
The four people who downvoted this must have been dunked on by Giannis!
Thats no true , i mean who didn t get dunked by Giannis? 😎🤣🤣
And james harden

Some guy really called him “Ah en toe ken booo” 😂

Me too

Why wouldn't you be? He made history.
dirty champion used the dirty 🦵
These were dark days to be a Bucks fan. But a joy to see Giannis grow.
The dreaded M court in all its horror.
it only got good to be a Buck fan when Giannis rose
Now they’re in the finals
The growing pains of being a rookie
As a bucks fan, the first time they drafted this guy I didn’t really pay any attention cause I thought he’d be a regular player who’d just stay in the league for a couple weeks and get sent to the g league or some shit but the way he was moving at he’s height, I knew he would be special but I didn’t know he would become the player he is today
Giannis will be the Finals MVP in 2021
Edit: Thanks for the likes
FOR THREE
rzsolv Would you believe the first three pointer
Well Giannis for a three
😂😂
Lol
I lived in Milwaukee for years and I remember the stadium being empty since the Michael redd days people stop coming because the bucks were trash for years until Giannas 2nd year it started getting packed it’s crazy it went from empty to sold out with 20,000 people outside the bucks stadium watching the game on the screen outside! Giannas probably doesn’t know this but he brought the whole city together!
Respect
One of the best to ever play the game 100% HOF 1st ballot lock lock lock and top 30-20 of all time for sure. What he has done of the Bucks is amazing and his character on and off the court!
This guy has natural talent and dedication to improve himself, a deadly combination.
@@everythinglakers1713 I think he's already close to top 20 he has a chance to finish top 10 of all time
what a long scentence..
who’s here after giannis wins the championship
Jason Kidds years in Milwaukee destroyed Giannis’s ability to shoot. Kidd just wanted him to be a paint dominator and would fine him for shooting 3s
The fact that they used to call him the alphabet 😂
💀💀💀💀
he shot the 3 best as a rookie
LOL Ted Davis is the man
@@nickharris7048 because he wasn’t so muscle bound. He got stronger by a lot and that usually hurts touch and your shot.
That's actually a dope nickname lol
The way they mispronounce his name is hilarious. Nowhere close. 😂😂😂😂
You aint lying
1:19 was my favorite “anitokibu” lmfao
Actually the 1st guy pronounced it the right way which is Adetokunbo. Giannis writes it how the Greeks would which is Antetokoumpo
Typical Americans though
@@DomV123 That had me crackin😂😂
"Rise" was a good insight into what Giannis and his family endured. What a journey through adversity and sacrifices! I'm happy for the Antetokounmpo family.

@@IlmaliklI bucks in 6 or 7 🤨
It’s nice to see
Middleton went on a journey and came back
@John Dominic Dy lol
Y’all can see that he’s only wearing one pair of shoes at his rookie season.
Wore the hell out of those NIKES!
😆😆
So you telling they were magical like mike shoes that gave him great basketball skills😂
He wore different shoes ..
Everyone knows you gotta save up that VC for your attributes in the rookie season..
Him before he collected all the infinitiny stones
Somewhere on the way, he lost the 3pt Stone though!! So... until he finds it back our hero continues his adventures...
He got all the stones at the cost of his shot
He just snapped the whole universe.
Giannos
3:33 that pass and ally oop was reminiscent of Holiday's pass to Giannis in Game 5
Oh damn ur right
Yeaaah, now we know why of course he did it so easy in finals, Giannis know how yo do it since rokie season
From no crowds...to having to build a bigger stadium for this kid 👑..LEGACY👊🏽...(oh yeah not to forget a full-house & 60,000 screaming fans standing outside)
It's just weird he had a way better jumpshot in his rookie year. His jumpshot now is way too slow.
yeah cause his coaches messed up his mechanics
@@noahtawil8793 it's mainly because he's become bigger. He can easily fix his shot if he worked with drew
Dave A Na he needs Fred Vinson. He fixed Lonzo and Ingram’s shots
Yeah that’s the main reason why I’m watching this video. To see his shooting motion.
Do y’all not see how much he bulked up? He’s really not a pure shooter so ofc it’s gonna mess with his jumper
13:51 is the reason he plays basketball
Congratulations to the Milwaukee Bucks for winning the 2021 NBA Championship. Giannis the Finals MVP.
Giannis is a legend 👏👏👏
The greatest 15 win season ever
🤣🤣😂😂😂😂
😂😂😭😭🤣🤣
@codimis they kinda still are in the playoffs
@@ezeuzuka3344 Not anymore yeet
It's bad when Nate Wolters is a contributor on your team.
“The kid can shoot”
“Yeah he’s got range”
...*some “shooting coach” twirling his fingers about to fck up giannis shot for at least the next 3/4ths of his career*...
Tbh i like his current playing style tho, seems badass and different 😅
It’s all that muscle he added that fucked up his mechanics. He’s still a beast tho.
@@BrooklynBalla he’ll probably start getting reliable shooting wise when he gets older cause he has to.
Probably has more to do with him growing three inches and gaining over 50 lbs of muscle.
He had a great stroke on his first year
Pretty cool to see this young beast since he was 19, you can definitely notice he is not there to pass the time, he is there to not take anything for granted, amazing.
18*
Damn it was so obvious by these highlights that he had so much potential by just the moves and everything he was doing
this man is a learner
I don’t know how I didn’t realize he and Middleton been playing together for 8 years

The way Jason Kidd and his staff destroyed his jump shot is really impressive. WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY THINKING ?????
That was mainly because he got so much bigger, hard to blame someone else
@@heneedsomemilk2877 No, it's pretty easy. His shooting coach completely fucked up his shooting form. It's not a myth, either
How tf he is a better shooter in his rookie year man 😂 that was insane
@@edwardtimothy3581 He was way skinnier dude. He is basically a different human being now. Like 1 inch taller and about 60 pounds heavier
I’ll take dropping 40 with no jump shot, than be a spot up shooter dropping 9 points. “Skill” is overrated.
Those wide angle shots of the empty arena is heartbreaking. I'm very happy for the bucks organization and how far they've come!
Giannis single handedly revived the bucks fan base.
Back when commentators cannot pronounce his last name properly. 😂
1:19 "antay tokumboo"
😂😂😂😂
He was so raw even back then..good passing ball IQ and nice jumpshot
@thenatural05 that’s not how leaping works. It’s alot of genetics that come into play with that. You can definitely get better at it and work on explosiveness but there’s a natural athletic ability that is still needed. For instance there’s no training in the world that would make Zach Randolph be a vertical threat. Lol.
13:45 I remember this like it was yesterday. First time his family attended a game, such a beautiful moment. RIP Charles.
rip charles long live father of a goat
RIP
Determination, inspirational, endless work ethic, unselfishness, dedication, competitive, driven, focused, humility. That is what Giannis Antentokunmpo is all about
NBA CHAMP !! 🏆
I came for the highlights, stayed for the horrible pronunciations
It’s really pronounced ( Ah -de-do-Kun-bo ) the Bucks announcer says it right everyone else pronounces it with the T instead of the D
@@YoungST20 I believe it's more like Ah-de-to-kun-bo, it's how I hear Giannis pronounce his last name and if you look at the way it is written (Antetokounmpo), it's a "t", not a "d"
@@YoungST20 Im a greek and we pronoune it ah de to kou mbo but maybe the nigerian pronounciation its a little different
@@sakispdsw the nigerian way is spelled different his wasn't what it was today they messed it up on his visa so he changed it to the way it is today
"He's got range"... What an irony to Giannis now...
🤣
he changed ability for strength and it was worthed
I mean.. he can just walk 2 step from 3-point line to dunk so... yea he got range

@@montlee1990 my thought. His form looks Smoove back then
I think adding Growing in hight and the added weight messed with it a little bit,With time he'll adjust his shooting form.

giannis is spectacular . he is my GOAT
As a suns fan I can say I respect Giannis and his drive. It’s been fun watching him these playoffs. Worthy opponent.
"The alphabet" sounds like one of those lame 2k callout names lmao

Now he’s a two time mvp and soon to be Finals MVP
7:52 his release was so fast and his form was good. If he could back to that, he be even better.
you can see how much more comfortable he got on an nba court as this video goes on.
7 years later he became back to back Mvp

Antetokoumboo
He didn’t even try to get it right at that point 😭
@@rolly7110 that is the correct pronounciation of his name for nigeria
Giiannis was making step-backs, 3 pointers with confidence and in rhythm? What happened to his mid-range? Woww, I would have never guessed he could score outside the paint consistently like shown in the video.
The play at 12:53 is legit INSANE
It seemed like he was matching the beat playing in the background. Lol
How far he’s come now. NBA champ!!! 🇬🇷
Champion mentality! I love him! 😉🙃 (as a die hard Lakers fan 🙃)

Always been a giannis fan since his sophomore season. But yea here after he won his first chip
Giannis, you are the best nba player in the whole world. You are also an amazing person. I hope you have an awesome day. 💚💚💚
He is the🐐
Lmao stop that bs
To me he actually plays the same way back then as he does now with the euro steps, driving to the paint with aggression, the smooth passes. Only thing that changed was his shot and he put on weight and got a bit taller because he was 6'9 whenever I use to play with him as a rookie on 2k.
They know his name now 😏
Giannis and Middleton still together today. CRAZY!!!
The dislikes are from warriors fans knowing Giannis isn't coming to Golden State
Cause he coming to miami😎
huh ? he didnt say that i mean we said the same thing about kd im not saying that giannis is a snake that would make no sense well yh warriors are trash now im just saying that he could surprise us with his decision
He going to miami with oladipo in 2021 Free Agency!!!!
He's going to warriors it's been confirmed I'm something like Woj dropping bombs 💣
I'm a warriors fan but I don't care where he goes I just love watching him play absolute freak of nature. If he comes to gsw sick if he goes elsewhere I'll enjoy watching him until he play against us 😂

Bruh, Giannis is actually underrated as a rookie.
Very underrated

He was never scared of playing against the stars. He showed star potential in his rookie year. I'm a Rockets fan.
He was Sh*t 🤣🤷♂️
@@Transkanns how was your rookie season?
I used to love playing with the Bucks on the 2013-2015 2ks - Giannis , Middleton, OJ Mayo, Jabari Parker.

Same
He got a smooth jumper back then.
Auntie toka boo.... For 3!
Thank you for putting together good highlights from his rookie season. They're hard to come by
Wow the body transformation bruh, that simply means Giannis is a hardworking player💪
This guy might turn out to be something special
I've heard at least 10 different pronunciations to his last name but Alphabet is the cherry on top.
After the greatness of Giannis, the best thing about the rookie video is listening to different announcers attempting to say Antetokounmpo. LMAO!
Giannis only averaged 6 points his rookie season. Pretty unreal.
This guy would lead his team on the NBA finals I see the potential Mr Giannis Atenwjxjdejkoumpo.
Just watched rise. Bawled. Already had so much respect for him just for the way he carries himself, but it's so much deeper now. Had to look up his rookie highlights after. An amazing person, player, and inspiration.
His birthday is on December 6 and he was still only 18 when he got drafted and when the season started. Already played with a lot of confidence right on his rookie year. Apparently, he still grew a couple of inches after he was drafted. Listed height was 6'9" during the draft.
Him and all the people they added to get to today really changed the Bucks, just look at the fans back then with barely anyone wearing Jersey's and much more empty stadium
How can his rookie year jumper be SO MUCH BETTER LOOKING AND SMOOTHER than his 8th year of very hard work is beyond me. Giannis is one of the hardest working NBA athletes EVER, and his jump shot (and free throws) are so much worse now than his rookie year its ridiculous... Giannis needs to spend all this offseason remaking his shot with an ACTUAL shooting coach, cause whoever is training him till now is clearly incompetend at best. I am a huge Giannis fan, been watching every game since his rookie season, staying up till 6-7 in the morning to do so for 8 years now. Have probably watched live 90% of his games. I say this in the most loving way possible: if Giannis spends 1 or 2 offseasons and fixes his jumper before he turns 30, he is going to dominate the NBA for 6-7 years. He can actualy go down as a top 5 player ever. But he needs a jumper. He clearly HAS the potential to shoot competently, its obvious since his rookie year, but some moronic coach has f*'d up his shot to the point it's embarasing to watch anymore. Even when it goes in, it looks so awkward and clunky it's laughable. Whoever has work with Giannis on his shot till now needs to be known as the guy that deprived the world of basketball from a possible GOAT. Cause i dont think Giannis has enough time left in his career to go down as the GOAT anymore. He had a decent jumper his 1st year. All his coaches had to do is take it from "decent" to "good". Not even "great". And instead they took it from "decent" to "oponents leave you open every time you are not in the paint". The whole situation is actualy tragic for the sport of basketball.
Yup
Outside of his crazy athleticism, he always had a great feel for the game on both sides. Combining insane genetics, athleticism and IQ, you get Giannis, a literal freak
He’s gonna be the best someday
Edit:he is the one the best but he’s young to so when lebron and harden etc retire he’ll still be playinh
He is
He already is the🐐
Shaquel Wonton been the best😤🐐
@@luukwatzke4718 not even close
watching this reminds me how unpolished he was, but in a good way. his game used to be so free flowing and unpredictable, real streeball-esque
Those could be career highlights not just his rookie year!!!!! GODDAMIT!!! Why didn’t anyone else see this kid coming??? Warriors didn’t have a first round pick that year what a fucking shame!!!
it's amazing to see how by bulking up it really has changed his jump shot. I know he needed to build up his body to be able to dominate the way he does but he had a decent jumper at this size. I'm sure he'll continue to evolve over the years and be even more unstoppable than he currently is.
bulking doesn't change you shot if you practice it
just take a look at desmond bane, league leager in 3 point% this year
@@deyantodorov6775 Bane been that size since high school. Giannis gained 40lbs and is a frequent lifter so it definitely messed with his mechanics.
@@Afloridaman813 bane wasn't born like that either. to be an nba level shooter you have to start working on your mechanic way before you can even start lifting
He had a good stroke as a Rookie. I wonder if lifting weights messed up his form bcuz he cant shoot a jumper for shyt
i have the same thought as well. his shot was fluid here... the weights must have messed it up:(
Giannis did grow 6"8 to 6"11 and his weight went 89kg to 110kg so his playing position altered to a stretch 4 maybe? If u watched the last dance jordan needed to bulk up as he was tired of getting bullied by the pistons he was first hesitant lifting bigger weights messing up his shooting but it didnt.
He can shoot now. He has been working on it and this season has been pretty decent
2:21 i love the way they complement him
Weights don't have anything to do with shooting some shooting coach made him change his shot and nothing was never wrong with his shot
1:18 "and the cow come boooo!" LMAO
The amazing thing watching this now after watching him dominate to win the NBA championship, is how smoother his jumper was compared to now. He definitely had a better jumper then.
of course he had, he came from europe and some clever guy ruined it
Giannis as a rookie had amazing potentials how they missed that
απίστευτος γιανναρος 🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷
Who’s here after he won Finals MVP?
Mans called him the alphabet at the beginning 😂😂😂
Potential was always there
08:10 Kendrick Perkins remembers that poster till now 😂
Imagine how much more dominant Giannis would’ve been if he still had this jumper
His outside shooting was much more fluid than it is now. More like KD back then, now he shoots like a pure center.
