@@grant.1810 Yeah you're right and at times i thought I should do and I also don't game so its in my favour but well its kind of embarrassing but I've got the surface book 2 from Microsoft. Basically I paid to get windows and its functionalities with the surface pen, dial and detachable display. That's what restricts my choice. Also from what I heard, linux is very command oriented and I'm not exactly aspiring to become a programmer so I dont want to go through the mess of writing every line to access something...

Just wanted to say thank you! I was initially bummed out because I tried all the steps and the store wasn’t immediately working after each method. I came back to my pc the following day and the the store was working again… not sure which method did it, but just a heads up for anyone who reads this in the future. Maybe give it 24 hours after a reboot and try again!
The delay is likely just due to it taking time to reinstall Microsoft store

Non of these fixed my issue. But Windows Store not opening seems to be only the tip of the iceberg in my case since all of my Microsoft Apps won't open for some reason. But, if I'm not mistaken, method no. 5 should have fixed this issue too, right? I can't even run my Windows Update Utility correctly (it crashes when I try to install the only optional update I do not have installed yet). Still, thanks for sharing your knowledge. It seems to help a lot of people.

Hello I need help. Uninstalled Netflix to fix lagging and crashing issues on my Acer Nitro 5. I have tried signing out and back in. Troubleshooting. Restarting, Resetting and WSReset. The worst part is that it is only for NETFLIX. The Get, Add to Cart and Add to Wishlist Button do nothing. Nothing has worked

Earlier Microsoft Store name was Windows Store. So you can search with that name. If you didn't find that either, then you need to re-install it. Open the PowerShell with admin privilege and enter this command-
Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
Restart your PC and see if there is Microsoft Store. If it doesn't solve your issue then you might need to create a new user account.

Does any of these methods work for when an app isnt downloading?
microsoft store wont open and neither will any app installed or pre-installed from there (eg cant open calculator, photos)

and the troubleshooter found problems but couldnt fix them

Trying to fix a mates computer, none of these worked, when he goes on to the Microsoft Store website on Microsoft Edge, the page is blank. Using Opera search engine, we can get on the site to download the store app, instead of an installer, it’s a PDF “More-Arbitrarion-Terms-for-Microsoft-Store.pdf”,
Pressing download on any app or extension does nothing like it’s a blank button. All we need is the RAW file extension 😅.

When i do the command WSRESET it opens Microsoft Store for me, but the problem i have is, microsoft store is missing from Apps&features, and all apps is not working. Any help for this? I try'ed to reinstall then install, nothings working. What strange is that Microsoft store is opening, and it shows on apps that "owned" for some, like Spotify and so on, but none of them opening :(
after doing the method 4 and 5, the logo is no longer grayed out but after clicking it again it does not work. all of the methods are followed word for word and nothing seems to work :(

Unfortunately, after applying the Method-04 the Microsoft Store App become not shown as an icon or opening and after applying the Method-05 all other windows Apps become the same, and I tried to open the folder (C:\Program Files\WindowsApps) to try open them manually but I failed to find the applications to open

I kept getting an error popping up after running the WsReset command.
In case anyone else has this problem, I fixed it by changing the security options on the WindowApps folder located in C:\Program Files
Just go to properties of the WindowApps folder, go to the security tab, and go to the advanced options.
From there change the ownership of the folder to your user account name.
After successfully changing ownership and full control to your user, than try running WsReset again.
This problem showed up in the first place because whatever account you're using to run windows on doesn't have the proper permissions to open the "WindowApps" folder. This is crucial because in order to run the "WsReset" command, the "WindowApps" folder must be able to be opened, but it can't be opened if the user who ran the command doesn't have permission to open the folder.
Things like re-installing windows can reset the permissions of users, so maybe that's what happened to you too.
I am actually having this problem right now, I will try it now.

This Guide saved me so much trouble because I usually fully resetted my Windows previously to have the MS Store working again but turns out just doing WSreset fixed the Problem for me immediately
Tried all of these steps but they didn't work at first. What worked for me was doing method 4 or reinstalling microsoft store, restarting my pc and then doing method 3/reset. This is the only one that worked for me. Just sharing.

I reset Microsoft store through settings and now it wont show up as an app when I look it up and wont open and when I try the fixes with PowerShell it doesn't really do anything its not like theres an error it just shows like its doing something but its not actually doing anything
When i try to run apps like Nvidia control panel it says: This app can't open and every other thing like pictures and related apps to microsoft. And in apps i can't see windows store + there is error says ms-windows-store:PurgeCaches Windows cannot access with the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access them and idk how to fix.

If non of those fixes not working for you and you don't want to Reset your PC, you can try one more fix that worked for me,
go to (C:) > Program Files > *Turn on hidden files*, *Find WindowsApps* *Right Click on this folder*, click 'Properties' > 'Security' > If not, set SYSTEM as Owner of this Folder. Turn on legacy and tick 'Replace the permissions values of the descendant objects with the permissible values inherited from this object'.
Now it's should work, if not try one more time each step of those fixes on the Internet, if still not working, well you f'd up big time...

Method 1: It didn't work for me, I have tried different regions including my own (Argentina), and different languages as well.
Method 2: It doesn't do anything. The comandbox stays there with the blinking white rectangle forever.
Method 3: It never ends loading.
Method 4: It says 'initializing' and it doesn't do anything else more form there.
Method 5: Same as the above.
Method 6: "Troubleshooter couldn't find any problem"
For methods 2,3,4 and 5 I spends around half hour without seeing anything changing. I also checked Task manager to see if the process were at least working, but they all had 0% CPU or Disk usage.
@Kaige I wish they do with a solution... sadly I still couldn't solve the problem and I am fearing I'd have to format the PC again at this rate.

I figured out that the service was turned off!!! I turned it back on and now it works.

Had a weird issue where the microsoft store, cortana search bar and a bunch of other apps were not working for months! Okay so My problem is a while ago or a couple days ago Microsoft Store keep erroring to download Roblox So I did a reset on Setting > apps >apps and features, after that Microsoft Store was still erroring to download Roblox So i turned off my pc and the next day turned it on because of online school and it didn't even open, I tried opening it from start, and still didn't open, i went to reset it again, and Microsoft store no longer shows in apps and features which is weird and every time i search about it nothing pops up about a fix or what happened, so i tried wsreset and when it finished it says, "You'll need a new app to open this ms-windows-store link" then i have the option to click Always use this app and OK, OK is Canceled out and grey so I cant click it, so I tried clicking always use this app, the OK button Still remained grey so all i can do is close it, So i have no idea what's wrong or how to fix, I'm writing this before i try all your fixes, if you or anyone has any idea how to fix it then comment on this please,
