2024 Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8 G Hybrid CVT Review
Toyota Corolla Cross has always been sought after and the lines were usually long. In 2024 when plenty of Chinese offerings fight for the EV share, Toyota continues to thrive in its HYBRID line up. This is an interesting model that is an entry variant but doesn't look like one.
I hope you enjoy watching my first impression on the said vehicle.
Thank you for watching and May Your Dreams Come True!

SoJooCars, I really enjoyed watching this, so I hit the like button!
Glad you enjoyed
thank you for this review. I like it!
this G variant makes a lot more sense in terms of its features. I wish toyota could make interiors more premium for its price. but I would definitely get this over the V and GR-S.
I want to see how this would compete with the GAC Emkoo Hybrid.
Idol please start recording in 4k 60fps. Even for POVs. More power to your channel!
is the ground clearance the same as the outgoing model or less?
Sulit for G hybrid. Nice review sir. Just hope toyota make the adaptive cruise control standard.
Fingers crossed!
Dream car
The rear aircon, leather wheel, front sensors and battery makes the additional price worth it.
But I still prefer the power of the old 1.8 ICE model.
You will also benefit from having no more Coding
Solid to G variant.
Complete airbags (big deal for me)
Good tech features (10" screen)
Basic amenities, but good ones (ex: dual climate control)
Joo, this one or the Yaris Cross HEV? Need to decide soon
This na!
@@SoJooCars Ok ba if I get only the G variant since my budget is only 1.5M? Sulit na ba ang features compared sa Yaris Cross top of the line?
Na try nyo na po ba mag apply ng SANGLA ORCR sa Global Dominion Financing, Inc.?
This would actually be on top of my list if not because of the low torque, and I always wondered why Toyota can't make it atleast 200Nm.
is it released already? like do dealerships have units for sale already?
Ready for Sale!!
@@SoJooCars like we can buy one now?
how does the new corolla cross compare to rav4 ?
Smaller engine affordable
Wow ang sulit sobra!
Super
It has almost all of the convenience features
Toyota Safety Sense not being available on base model is a shame. Look at Honda offering Honda Sensing across all 2024 models including base variants.
Toyota still giving the bare minimum. Consumers deserve better.
Imagine how Toyota Cars were a few years ago before Chinese offerings came in.
if they added that, Yaris cross will not sell. Toyota is becoming an Apple company. I work in marketing/sales, decoy effect is the technique.
Is it better than Yaris Cross V ?
I like this far more than that
plus it's bigger a bit
And corolla x is a true toyota, daihatsu only si yaris x
How about fuel consumption
km/L?
Expect 21-24\L
I can go 26-29km/L basta 60-70km/h lang speed on mostly flat roads
First, love your reviews. Second, Toyota eCVT is NOT a CVT at all. It uses an electric motor and a planetary gear system. There is no band like a real CVT.
the G is already a good deal
Nice improvement for the G variant, namely Hybrid engine, leather steering wheel, LED headlamps, etc., for the Corolla Cross is the electronic parking brake, rear aircon vents, though the rear Corolla Cross badging is still the same sloppy design. Hopefully its horn is louder, but overall it is a nice car!
Louder than the pre face lift??
@@SoJooCars yes, I think the horn of its prefacelift is similar to the Vios
What is the battery type?
NiMH (Nickel-metal Hydride) Battery
anybody knows what hybrid battery toyota put in here? lithium ion or nickel?
Still nickel for Corolla X
@@III.R.A whats the diff between nickel and lithium? which one is better?
No cruise control?
Entry variant.
Corolla cross G variant or top of the line Yaris Cross?
TEST DRIVE. BIG DIFFERENCE WITH TNGA ANG DNGA
COROLLA CROSS is the budget version of RAV4.
Correct
How bout the yaris cross?
@@pipebomber04vios on stilts
Daihatsu yaris cross@@pipebomber04
This or Tucson base model?
This!
6:38 i don't know a car with a jerky-jerky CVT.. you might be referring to a DCT, sir.
No safety sense for the G. And no push button start.
May Push Button
@@SoJooCars awww. Like YX of course si CX.
its a base model, what did you expect?
😅if you’ve been driving for some time now, you’d have the skills to get from A to B safely without ADAS. All this G really needs is adaptive cruise control for city driving, ADAS-wise, and that’s largely for convenience. Removing Safety Sense lets Toyota price this lower and that’s a more buyer-friendly approach versus Honda putting Sensing across the board then, blink once, and they are charging much higher prices.
Lahat ng CX and YX may push start button engine start, auto aircon, autofold mirrors, wireless apple car play, dash cam and my fav-electronic parking brake and autohold.
another shortchanged specs for Philippines market. lol high cost limited features
I don't like the fact that we are being pushed into this electric car. There should have been a version that's nonelectric. Hell make it more expensive no problem but don't just stop it and force us into this electric world.
Ps. Making batteries and solar panels is more damaging to they earth then drilling for oil.
Buy nonelectric models. What's stopping you?
Not bad for an entry level spec, although smart entry would have been nice.
