- Where is the best place for real Canarian or Spanish food in Lanzarote? Well if you are staying in Playa Blanca I can 100% recommend La Cofradia in the Playa Blanca harbor. This is a traditional Canarian meat and fish restaurant that is very popular with the locals and serves an array of Canarian dishes and Lanzarote tapas.
Whilst La Cofradia is not advertised as a tapas restaurant they offer a full menu of main fish and meat meals to enjoy as well as some specials but if you ask for tapas they will accommodate you so you can try a full range of dishes. We had a little of everything and finished with a huge fish dish.

Just back from our holiday in Matagorda. The Costa Sal was very good and spotlessly clean. I was a little surprised that the precinct in Matagorda has not changed in any way. I thought it would have been smartened up since the last time we visited, which was about 15 years ago.🙄 We normally holiday in Playa Blanca.
