- Demons are plentiful in fighting games. Whenever you have a creature with otherworldly features akin to the underworld, we tend to refer to them as demons, or a word that’s analogous with demons. Regardless, I’m looking at the best demons that fighting games have brought us over the years, whether they’re humans with heavily demon traits, or creatures that were never close to human to begin with. Quan Chi, one of the most SADISTIC video game characters I’ve ever seen. In my opinion, the best version of Quan Chi was from the animated film, Mortal Kombat Legends Scorpion’s Revenge.

They only put Akuma in Tekken 7 because he is a demon and they reference that Akuma also had the devil genes in his body

I like that idea! I only know a few angels off the top of my head, so I'd need to get researching, but once I do, I'm sure I'll cover it eventually

I’m going to be honest: I did not know that Quan Chi was a demon. Through out most of his appearance, the Kombatants constantly refer to him as a sorcerer, so I just thought he’s a human that specializes in sorcery and necromancy. Thank you very much for that info drop, Mr.TopTenList. This was a great list to watch and don’t worry, I agree with what you said about Tekken 2’s Devil. I didn’t play the game but there’s something uncomfortable I find about it, with the bs screen and the endless mirrors of the fight in the arena.

Demons in fighting games are great. Akuma and Elena has a good story I liked that in Ultra Street Fighter 4. Cool video. ^_^
Akuma is my favorite demon. He has many forms, other characters copied his power & he appeared in many Street Fighter games, Capcom crossover games and other games
Akuma is my favorite fighting game character period. I tend to base all my character choices off of him. Definitely best demon

Hello Everyone I'm Proto Prime and from looking at this Mr Top Ten List Video On Deomns and I would have to say The only Demon on this Top 10 List I like has to be Akuma from Street Fighter Series knowing Akuma was once human but traded his life to becoming something much worse something like a Demon that knows Martial Arts but one thing for sure he rivals against Ryu big time and he is like a living tank when in battle but what makes him even more a Demon when Akuma goes Oni when turning into Oni Form his skin turns into dark navy blue and his hair turns into Glowing Light Blue Hair and he also gets glowing red eyes and he gets more worse & more powerful & not to mention more deadlier than before and it is awesome that he becomes an guess character to be in other games and it was so awesome he made his guess appearance in the Tekken Series along with Geese Howard, Noctis Lucis Caelum, Negan Smith, Gon, all of these characters got to be guess characters in the Tekken Series and Akuma had reach the top and still is a living tank in Tekken Series and I give this Mr Top Ten List Video On Demons good thumbs up and good credits & points 👍👍✌✌👏👏🥊 and that is it for now and some of you Fans & Players & People would have to at least agree with me on that one on this Mr Top Ten List Video On Demons & Akuma at least.!?¡¿ ♤♡♧◇€£₩¥ 🎮🕹💞👍👍✌✌👏👏🕵️♀️🕵️♂️😎🥊

It also seems that they are making akuma more of a thoughtful character as he gets older with his quasi redesign in street fighter 5 and the role he played in tekken 7 it’d be cool to see ryu be the main antagonist in sf6 falling to either the satsui no hado or bison finally obtaining his body having him be psycho powered ryu or bison combines the psycho power combined with the dark hadou

There is a form of Akuma where he is fully a demon, and that is Oni, but I believe that is only a what if scenario, because if that was canon, then Akuma would probably be too OP in the SF universe.
I like Oni! He was actually on my list for "edgiest fighting game characters" for last year's Halloween Fighting Game video, so I didn't want to have too many repeat entries from last year's list

I've been wanting to get to that one for awhile! I don't know too many outside of Tekken and Soulcalibur, so it may be a Namco heavy list! A similar idea I've had is "Copycats in Fighting Games" where they're not Mimics, but all (or almost all) their moves borrow from other characters, like Double in Skullgirls. Might just have to do a list for both ideas...

Well, if it makes you feel better, Akuma did sell fruits in India in Street Fighter 2 The movie.
That's why I love when they do Street Fighter animated movies! I think it was in the SFII OVA series since I don't remember Akuma being in the movie itself and I haven't seen the OVA based on the movie, so that would make sense!
Akuma is basically the golden standard of fighting game demon characters in my eyes
i do like how in tekken 7, akuma has somewhat of a more interesting role, he is trying to fulfil what kazumi made him promise, to kill heihachi and kazuya

I think, if I am not mistaken, that Firebrand in his game was the hero of the hell realm of Ghouls & Goblins, and worked on bekoming the moast powerfull Demon and King of the hellrealm in order to bring balance back to his home.
Yeah.....Hellbrand has his own game wich is a spin off from Ghouls & Goblins from wich the small knight Arthur comes from
@MrTop10List I have a question that you may be able to answer; many years ago, around the mid 2000’s, I saw a fighting game where you could control your characters with wrist bands and there was this boss looking character who resembled Ogre from Tekken but he was grey and had a huge hammer that he could use in grapple moves and absolutely dominated his opponents. And I know that it wasn’t Tekken, Soulcalibur, King of Fighters, Virtua Fighter, Dead or Alive or Urban Legend but it looked like it was produced by Namco Bandai 👍🏻

Sarah Bryant from Virtua Fighter series should be on the list even though she has moved on to Martial Arts (Mixed Martial Arts, that is because she used a style combining Karate, Savate, and Taekwondo), some of her moves are retained from Jeet Kune Do. After all, there are rarely female characters who use this style.
If you are looking to do a new YU-GI-OH list or Fight game Rooster, you could use only monster from the Duel Terminal lore. There are many monsters cards that are actually very interesting charcters from there.
