    1. Why did you use boards to make the studs instead of using solid studs?
    2. Has that any advantages in rigidity/stability? (I imagine you'd have less twist and bending with these 'board studs'.)
    3. Was that a cost saving measure or was there no solid material available at the time of the build to make the studs?

Those anchors In reinforced concrete are no stronger than 2 ft, 4 ft ones. Also, code would allow for footings to be poured… concrete drill, and anchors installed for the plates… so yes . This is more than sufficient in any of the greater 48. Job well done🎉🎉🎉

Since the poles hold up the barn, it's good that the poles weren't simply stuck in the ground because poles are wood and wood rots and the barn can fall over if that happens. My grandfather's barn was built on a concrete foundation 3' high because he wanted the wood above the snow, the barn lasted over eighty years, the roof gave out, the walls stood until it was demolished. The hay loft was beautiful, my grandfather decided to keep hay outside and have dances and basketball games up there instead.
