      But Lionity would be the lions natural killer behaviour. Protecting the calf is more like human behaviour. So it’s a lion with some level of humanity. Even if she was going to eat it later, still saved it.

They define it as something that you already know how to do in spite of never having done it before. But you can't technically know how to do something you've never done before, you can only learn it slowly, or learn it super fast. The latter is all what instinct really is.

    From the compassionate act of the lioness towards the baby calf, we can learn a lot. Whether in humans or animals, maternal love is great, and life is immensely precious. This has made me reflect on our eating habits, behind which countless lives are sacrificed. We should avoid consuming or using animals and their offspring, to express respect and protection for every life. Each small change we make can contribute to reducing the suffering in the world. 🙏❤

    It's interesting to see instinct to play such a key part in the survival. Because you can see when the little guy was standing there it seemed the lion didn't know what to do because it wasn't running. He was pawing it and almost playing with it like it didn't know what to do. But the second it ran he instantly jumped on it because instinct kicked in.

That lion was having some fun with the little calf and as you can see it was getting gradually more aggressive. That other lion came and the first lion said "Ay fuck right off m8 this is my meal." Dear oh dear, I struck a nerve. Obviously not the first to comment on your....predilection. I'm a vegetarian - so no, I don't eat meat of any sort. You obviously do, but I'm glad you know to label yourself an INHUMAN bstrd. You should try cutting out meat , it may calm your very obvious aggressive nature. That calf looks f'ing helpless lmao' A joke? Really? Where's the bit that's supposed to make you laugh? It was a crass statement highlighting your innate cruelty and budding serial killer instincts. Serial killers are known to find any normal human communication, and demonstrating compassion challenging. Not knowing what is funny, and what isn't funny to 'normal' people is tricky for them too. You demonstrate all these traits in your post and reply. You may want to see someone about that. If you're unable to show compassion to a helpless calf, and indeed are able find its predicament 'funny', you're sick. Compassion isn't exclusively shown to humans (Good Lord - someone has to point that out to you!!!!) Frightening. What does the food chain have to do with it, Moron? (note the correct grammar there).
      For future ref: You write/say, Firstly, secondly and thirdly. You really should've paid more attention in class instead of daydreaming about torturing small animals.
      For everyone's sake, please don't breed and pass on your 'sense of humour'. The world will be a safer, more pleasant place for those with compassion. Look forward to your reply. And in the meantime, stay away from the neighbour's cat.

    The presence of the jeep/people is what caused the lion not to kill the calf. They don't know how to react when an unknown source like this is present, so they become confused and just toy with the prey. I saw this exact same scenario in another video with a lioness and a baby gazelle I believe, and she looked like she was about to kill it until she noticed the humans following and recording her.

    • @Depths17
      @Depths17 Před 8 lety +7

      But there are plenty of videos with people recording lions who kill and start eating normally. I'm sure those lions don't know what the jeep full of people are either but as long as its not bothering them, they don't seem to care.

    • @Caarnji
      @Caarnji Před 8 lety +2

      +CowLunch There´s hunting/eating footage of safaris as these not just of documentaries and lions don´t really mind much...also the animals are used to that, it´s not like it´s the only safari to ever have happened in that lions territory. :p
      Letting calves alive is a tactic lions use to lure in bigger animals (a calf has a mother which has a herd, its screams lures the mother, win). It´s a young lion though, he doesn´t necessarily want to lure bigger prey, may just play with the food, or ate already and wants to preserve for later...many possibilities, that the safari has anything to do with is unlikely though since there´s no connection to if a lion eats or not if there´s people present or not, they simply don´t give a fuck.
