You guys are adorable. This Beastie Boys video was uploaded to YT in 2010 the song and video for "Shake Your Rump" came out in 1989. The lens on the camera being used is called a "fisheye". Beasties became known for using this lens in future videos.

It was filmed in 1989. IT was uploaded to CZcams in 2010 is all. I was letting her know. Who gaf when it was uploaded? If I watched a Jimi Hendrix vid that was uploaded last year I wouldn't think it was filmed last year.

They were not the first, but they are the ones that loved to use it often and it became a trademark. Many artists in the 90's used it in their videos such as Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliot. Even the Dutch rapper Blabbmouf has used it. ** They are filming on a rooftop in L.A.

I just bought their book, just called the Beastie Boys book. So far a great book. Take a look at Beastie boys: Alive
Book is amazing and not cause of the info about the guys, but they really did a good job on captivating the atmosphere of that era, how the city breathed, what was going on in the clubs, how the cool young kids behaved. It was an awesome read, bot only for Beastie boys fans, but I would say people interested in music history/background

good observations on the full stops in their music. I am a producer, songwriter, and arranger. I'll tell you that the most talented artist and bands are the ones that are capable of making full rest or half-rests in their music and pick up again and keep going. Nirvana comes to mind right off.

This song was spliced together from 13 other song. today no other group could sample this much music for one song because of all the licensing fees it would take. He would literally make no money off the music because the royalties would be paying for the licensing. Should look up all the songs that they splice together and took from all '70s music by awesome bands Just small few second clips from songs and they strung it together to make the music for this
They also got approvals from large groups like led Zeppelin Jimmy Page to use their songs spliced into their music. Jimmy Page let the Beastie boys use their music for free because he liked them
