    Thank you for your review.👍🏻
I reserved 3hotels Anaheime, Element and Camelot. It's my first trip to the U.S. with my teenage 2 kids, so can you recommend which hotel would be better?🙏🙏

Hi, sorry for the delay we are currently traveling.
Hopefully you this will help. The element is the newest of all 3 hotels. It includes a breakfast and they do have very comfortable rooms. The breakfast they offer is one of our favorites in the area and they rotate the food. We have a walking video which will give you an idea of the distance. You can also take ART if you don’t want to walk.
Camelot is the closest of the hotels. We think the hotel is nice have zero issues staying here again. This is one of our favorites. McDonald’s and Panera are next door for food options.
We did not have a good stay at the Anaheim hotel but things have changed since we stayed. This is going to be the lowest quality of the 3 hotels. We stayed in building 5 and the walls were very thin. We heard all of our neighbors. We have know a number of people that have stayed there since we have and they liked their stays. This is a no frills place.

That is good that they are bringing fresh towels and emptying trash cans each day. Almost everywhere we have been is not doing any housecleaning and you have to go ask for anything you need which is a slight inconvenience. This looks like a nice motel. We really like the castle decor. Thanks for showing us around Camelot Inn and Suites!

Hi, would you be more inclined to stay at the Camelot Inn, the Tropicana or pay a little more for Candy Cane Inn?

    • @AnaheimParkTourist
      @AnaheimParkTourist  Před rokem +1

Oh. That’s a tough one! All are great properties. Camelot and Tropicana have the same owners. We have stayed at both and preferred the Camelot rooms. They felt a bit higher end on the remodel. Also, we felt the room was a quieter due to how the hotel is laid out (parking is under all the rooms instead of in the middle of the hotel)Plus, walking out of the room with a view of Disneyland was fantastic! And we loved how close Camelot is to a bunch of dining (McDonald’s, Panera and Mimi’s Cafe). If you go with Camelot we would request the top floor and further back from Harbor Blvd if possible.
For us to decide between Camelot and Candy Cane, we would need to factor in the total pricing. Do you have a car? Camelot and Tropicana charge for parking. Candy Cane has free parking. So make sure you are factoring in the parking price when comparing both. We save quite a bit of money on an included breakfast with two teenagers. Lol. But it would depend on how much more the Candy Cane is compared to Camelot. If we stay at a hotel without an included breakfast, we usually bring our own breakfast items if we drive. If we fly, we will pick some breakfast items up at the CVS on the corner of harbor and Katella. Ultimately, we usually pick the cheaper of the 2-3 hotels we are deciding on. Unless, for instance Candy Cane is only $20-30 more a night, because our family can easily spend way more than that on breakfast if we eat out. Hope that helps! Please reach out if you have any other questions. Have a fun trip!☺️

@@AnaheimParkTourist Thank you for your honest and thought out response. All of your videos have been so helpful in making a decision. I booked the Candy Cane because of the amazing reviews, (especially your detailed videos), its breakfast, shuttle, and renovated room and FOMO. However after contemplation and watching your other video- we opted for the Element- a family of 5 we thought the need for extra space after a long Disney day, still being close, having a kitchen and bunks, breakfast included met our needs. Thank you both for such amazing videos! Wish you guys did videos on the Universal Studios Hotels too! Take Care and thank you again!

      @AnaheimParkTourist  Před 2 lety +1

We are more than happy to help out as much as possible. I will say this, we do prefer hotels over motels since the tend to me more quiet. Suncoast is one of our favorite hotels in the area but it is further out. A lot of times you can get the Suncoast for a really good price. You may want to check out Wyndham Anaheim, right on the corner of Harbor and Katella as well.
Since I don't know your budget I will give some options here. We should have videos for most of these hotels.
      Hotels:
JW Marriott seems to have pricing roughly around 211 a night. Parking was $40 a night when we stayed. It is roughly about a 15-17 minute walk to Disneyland. If you want to stay in a hotel this will probably be the nicest hotel for around $250 a night.
Wyndham is probably our favorite hotel in the area. The customer Service there is top notch. We love the manager of the hotel and he used to manage another hotel we used to frequent in the area. The rooms are big, spacious, and nice.
      Suncoast:
Suncoast is a nice hotel and you can sometimes grab a room at a great price. The walk isn't terrible and the rooms were nice and comfortable. We have no problem staying here again.
      Howard Johnson:
We love the Hojo and sometimes you can snag these rooms cheap. Buildings 1 and 2 are recently remodeled. Pricing does vary quite a bit which makes this a wildcard.
      Hilton Garden Inn
We also have a video of this hotel. It is newer, which is nice. We created an experience video which details all of the pros and cons here. The rooms were nice and spacious.
      Wild Card Hotels:
Hilton Convention Center: This is a walk to the hotel but you can walk over to the Toy Story lot and grab the shuttle there. Sometimes you can get this hotel at a great price $105-$120 a night. The rooms need a refresh but they are still decent. We have stayed here a lot because of the pricing, however we do not have a video here. Last time we stayed there was Sept 2019
      Double Tree in Orange:
We only stay here if we can snag the room for 100 or less. It is out of the way, the rooms do need a refresh and the beds can be hit or miss (they are double beds too). Uber or Lyft is about a $10-$12 each way.
      Radisson Blu:
We have this booked for February. Our friends stayed here and loved the hotel. It appears as though you can get this for $150-$200 a night. It is a newer hotel. You will have to Uber or Lyft to the parks.
      Walking Distance across from Harbor
Park Vue - Park Vue was quiet and the rooms are decent. We had no issues whatsoever and if the price is in your budget, it is probably the closest hotel to Disneyland. We do have a video on their bunk bed room. The standard queen room is bigger.
The Best Western Park Place- We liked this motel a lot, Denny's is next door. The rooms were clean and nice. Once again this comes down to a budget. This is a nor frills place that does offer a free breakfast. We recently stayed at the BW mini suites (sister hotel) and their hot breakfast was decent. A Denny's or IHOP will have a superior breakfast. The free breakfast saves you about $10-$12 per person.
Kings Inn is a no frills place. It was clean and I had no complaints whatsoever. I was able to book this hotel for $67 a night through Gov X (former military, medical personal, first responders, and more qualify). You can also check out the website working advantage, they have similar discounts. The room capacity is 4 and it is right next to the Garden Walk. You have a lot of alternative places to eat there. This is probably one of the nicest Discount hotels in the area. It is about a 1 mile walk. We have videos on the walk and the room. The only issue I had at the hotel, the make you sign a no smoking waiver or they will charge you a $250 cleaning fee. Someone was smoking outside of my room and the smell came into the room as I was leaving the hotel. I was so concerned about being charged, I went to the front desk and told them what happened. They told me don't worry, hopped on the radio to security to go let the party know that there is no smoking on property. Customer service is good.
      North of Disneyland:
Hotel 414- Consider this hotel, we do have a video on it. Prices are probably similar to Kings Inn. It is a bit closer to Disneyland than Kings Inn. It is nicer than Kings Inn. The hotel was quiet and a bit out of the hustle of the Disneyland area. We also have a walking video on this. We really liked the customer service at this hotel and the rooms.
Located on Katella Near Paradise Pier Hotel:
Alamo Inn. We haven't released this video yet (probably be a while before we do). The walk is very similar to our Eden Roc walking video if you want to get an idea. The rooms were very nice for the price. I booked this hotel for 110 a night and was shocked how nice the rooms are. Online pictures seem to show a mix of old a new rooms. My assumption is this motel is completely remodeled. The room had some higher end fixtures and I was pleased with my stay. The grounds have a beautiful garden like feel to them.

When you get right across the street, the price really goes up. However, when you want to walk home for a quick break, meal, or something else it is only a few minutes away. The JW is a nicer hotel but round trip it is 30-40 minute walk.

My son who is 5’ 7” was able to sleep in it quite comfortably. It appears that we configured it a bit differently than you did though (based on the video). We really enjoyed our stay at the Camelot. The Camelot and the Tropicana are the same owner and the room layouts and furnishings are very similar. We did rank the Camelot and Tropicana a while back and I believe it was in our top 5. After staying there again recently, this is one of our favorite hotels located near the Harbor entrance. The property was reasonably quiet, offered great viewing of the fireworks and only a short walk away from Disneyland. Tropicana is closer but we feel like the Camelot might be a bit more sheltered from parking lot noises since all the rooms are located on the 2nd floor and higher. The rooms were very nice and we would not hesitate staying at this hotel again. We really did enjoy our stay.
