Hello, it's Crystal and Jim with Anaheim Park Tourist. We share travel tips and ideas to the Disneyland resort. We always liked the bride with the heartbeat better, it felt a bit more spooky. It will be interesting to see if they make changes here.
do they do return trips, like from anaheim to lax? do you book the same way?

Yes, we always love the overlays here. MK did get jingle cruise from Disneyland. We do miss that one.
Did you do the Stretching Room? Was the Hanging Host removed?
Yes, the stretching room is there but it’s haunted mansion holiday, so Jack is on the ceiling.

Sweet! How did the virtual queue go? Must have been easy since you got on early!
It went smoothly. There were people at rope drop that didn’t know about the VQ and at 7:45am they still got a return time.

@TAM94114 it was about 5-8 minutes. It was quick.
@@AnaheimParkTourist Oh nice, glad it went so well for you. Given I'll be in mid-November, it might be a bit tougher to get. I keep thinking of the Magic Kingdom when my Tron boarding group was called, still waited inline over an hour
@TAM94114 TRON was pretty painful when your number was called. There isn’t a whole ton of room for a queue. They have a couple of switchbacks, which are taped on the ground, but that’s about it.

Definitely want to check out the art! So many ride closures, wow! Haunted mansion overlay is really fun, but nice it may open earlier! Oh wow a virtual queue for it. Oh a slow line for mission breakout is disappointing. Wow a strike! Oh wow food items going up is disappointing. Fantastic info and updates as always!! 😊💕

I wish I saw this 2 mos ago when I booked our trip. They advertised it as being next door. Too late to change hotels we go next week 😭
Double check and confirm the address of the Springhill you are staying at. This Springhill Suites Maingate is located at 1160 W Ball Rd, and there is another Springhill Suites (Convention Center) located on S. Harbor which is much closer. If you are staying at the Ball Rd location, we suggest taking ART or ride share if you do not want to walk this distance everyday. Ride share will probably cost you around $20 round trip per day. ART starts off at $6 per day per person but sell discounted multiday tickets. There is an ART bus stop located right in front of the Springhill Suites Maingate. I feel like Candy Cane is the most upscale stay in the area without jumping to the Grand Californian and the Westin.

I really hope late September will be awesome for Disney and California adventure.. im gonna be park hopping the whole time im there.. I hope space mountain will be open as well by that time.. one can only hope only the kid rides will be closed for refurbishment around that time.. I wish none would close at all!
Mid to late September is one of our favorite times of the year to go and it isn't as crazy as October. October is one of the busiest times of the year. We have seen reports that Space Mountain will only be down a month, as of Today, it is still closed through September 5th. Keep watching the refurbishment calendar and hopefully it will be open by your trip. With a park hopper, you should be able to maximize your time between the two parks and have a fantastic trip. Great Information! I'm surprised by Space Mountain! Don't they usually wait until the end of Summer for maintaining The Big Boys?
Thanks! We were shocked when we saw space mountain on the maintenance calendar. It’s supposed to only be about a month but, with so much of the park being down, the lines are going to be bad.
Not quite sure why so many rides are down? Seems odd to me. Hopefully the CM’s and Disney can sort a deal out soon. I sure wouldn’t want to be dealing with tourists all day for low pay.
It is weird that so much of the park is down right now or going to be down soon. Being a public facing employee can be incredibly tough and not very rewarding. I have had a few jobs where I had to deal with the public and most interactions are positive but it is that one bad interaction that can ruin your day.

That totally stinks and it is disappointing. We are hoping you can make the best of your trip and experience as much of the magic as possible. Hopefully, you can return at a later date when the park is more normal.
In my opinion, the Suncoast is way nicer and definitely a better value!

5:01 That is literally the backside of Cars Land! I’m surprised you didn’t have a noise issue.
We have stayed at the Alpine Inn, Desert Palms, and Candy Cane multiple times, all back up to Car's Land and we have never heard noise from the park. The park has to prevent as much noise from spilling out from the park as possible. That is why Incredicoaster has a tunnel on its tracks, to contain the screams!
howdy Jim and/or Crystal. Is a walking tour from the DVC Disneyland Villas (Discovery Tower) to the parks/Downtown Disney on the schedule? I'll be staying there in November. Want to try to get my bearings in planning my days/early entry- thank you as always.
We actually have that walk from the Disneyland Hotel to Disneyland, that can be found here: czcams.com/video/6_HcKa-jWc8/video.html The DVC Villas are just a little bit of Distance away from from the DLH lobby, but this walk give you an idea what it is like. Currently this security area that went through is under construction and will be dedicated DLH guests. Currently the security entrance is just a little south this entrance we used in this video. We are not sure when this exact path will reopen.

When I saw the duration I thought that it would be too long but considering half of it is walking through Downtown Disney would make it easier. But definitely get a taxi back to the hotel 👍

Yes, you stayed at one of the furthest away. We are shocked you walked that but at the end of the day you still had great time. We have no problem walking this distance in the morning but we would take transportation back at night. Thank you!!

Yes taking ART or rideshare is going to be the easiest way to get to and from the park.
