  • Jhalana Leopard Reserve on the edge of Jaipur has one of the densest leopard populations. It is the ideal place for any wildlife lover to go on a safari and catch a view of these majestic animals. It is known as India's leopard capital and any safari here is more than likely to spot a leopard in the wild. But what is it like living on the edge of this reserve? And what is being done to protect this landscape and its wildlife? In this video, I explore these questions as well as go on a safari to try and spot a leopard together with Dr. Joy from Hope and Beyond!

Jhalana Leopard Reserve in Jaipur is absolutely wonderful destination, however Leopard Capital and Kingdom of India is Jawai Hills National Park at Pali District in Rajasthan State. Jawai Hills is also home to Black Sloth Bear Sanctuary. Documented in National Geographic and Discovery Channels as well.

From ranthambore you could hop across to kuno where cheetahs from your part of the world are being relocated. @@talesofodyssey One of the best ways to reduce human conflict with the leopards is to avoid calling her "Big" Cat to her face...
In an interview the leopard once said , "the reason I tore him apart was coz he was calling me a "big cat* & pointing at me , so i asked him , are you calling me fat ?"
To which he smirked & replied, "No , just a big cat..."
"...& That was it , i started his weightloss program right there , limb for limb"

As well as the problems we have with elephants, I have seen many videos of leopards or tigers attacking villages in India. I don't know if the Indian government is looking for solutions for that. But the Sri Lankan government never looked at the problem seriously... I have said this before that you are more of an explorer than a tourist.
