  • Welcome back to Munnar, a hill station situated in Kerala, India. Join me as I try to navigate this place while being on a budget! In this second episode, we trade expensive tours for DIY explorations, starting with a sunrise jeep trek to Kolukkumalai. We also tackle the Chokramudi Peak hike, enlisting the help of unexpected hiking buddies Leo and Fred, the official guide dogs of Chokramudi. Despite being the third-highest peak in Kerala, the trail remains uncrowded, offering a secluded gem away from mass tourism. Join us as we discover the magic of Munnar's lesser-known treasures without breaking the bank.
*Disclaimer:* While India is often considered a budget-friendly destination, especially for Western travelers, my budget is on the very low end. I'm not trying to promote irresponsible or exploitative travel, but rather to showcase that meaningful travel experiences are possible even with limited resources. I'm committed to supporting the local economy whenever possible throughout my journey.
    In this video, you'll see:
*Sunrise Jeep Trek to Kolukkumalai: Experience what it’s like to watch the sunrise from this spot - a classic Munnar experience.
*Trek to Chokramudi Peak: Witness the diverse landscapes, from grassy stretches to dense jungle and rocky trails, culminating in stunning panoramic views of the region.
*Budget travel in action: Learn how I navigated local transportation, found affordable accommodation, and explored Munnar on a limited budget.
    🌍 *About Me:*
I'm Flora, a passionate adventurer on a mission to explore the world's hidden gems and share the beauty of travel with you. From mountain hikes to cultural immersion, I'm stepping outside my comfort zone and embracing the unknown, and taking you with me for the ride.

You have captured these epic views so beautifully.
These videos should get 500k views atleast.
I think you can get more views if you change the thumbnail and the title to something more exciting and catchy like saying "Is this is the most beautiful place in India" or "The hidden gem of India" or something like that.
The Chokramudi hiking place truly feels like a hidden gem and I haven't seen anyone else who made a video about that place.
Also try putting the Indian flag on the thumbnail as well.
Other youtube vloggers are getting a lot of views on their Munnar videos and your videos looks so much better than them amd deserves more views.
    Keep up the great work!

Hey! Glad to see someone putting the Lumix S5ii to good use in Kerala. Just a few suggestions (as a storyteller myself) is that try to focus less on setting up the story and giving context when you’re vlogging. Rather just focus on the moment and record your reaction to your situation. For instance you already established you’d be taking a tuk tuk to Suryanelli through your voiceover, in the shot when you were actually in the tuk tuk you could have added more to your experience by avoiding repetiition. Also consider shooting 6k Open Gate, which gives a square aspect ratio, which in my opinion is much more inviting and immersive to the viewers, but the storage would be a hassle tho haha. I might be nitpicky but may I dare to mention that you should consider closing the screen of the camera so you’d be more likely to look directly into the lens. I say all this from my bottom of the heart, as a fellow Lumix s5ii creator, I just want the camera and it’s users to produce great content and genuinely succeed.

You want to see Sunsets, find real peace with no crowd then go to Meghalaya state in India, Umroi view point, Nongjrong etc.

Dont go with local hiking arrangements. They mist probably takes you to the tourist spots. Check online for tent stay, hut stay travellers communities. You ill get exactly what you want. You ill have some good times of your life, with communities like that.

Being Indian myself, I strongly discourage camping in tents. It's never advisable to spend a night outdoors in India. Opt for indoor accommodations for overnight stays instead.

@@Utsav_Viradiya im talking about tent stay community. Not self tenting stay. Travellers communities are much better than local suggestion. These community can takes you to peaceful and beautiful nature spot, they do trucking, camping, champ fires, chill outs and so on. So its always better than going into a crowded tourist olace with local influence.
As an indian i stayed in tents. Im talking about proper travellers. Not about tourist spot travellers.

You can make suspense thriller with your footages by adding music and story. 😂. One story can be, You have ended up in a country where trekking and watching sun rise is forbidden. So, you make secret plans to watch sun rise. 😂
