The thing about a woman's body is that all parts are sexualized. Best to just always dress elegant and classy then there is no question to "Is my outfit modest enough." You also have a completely different attitude when you dress elegantly vs provocatively. Women aren't dumb, we know exactly what we're doing when we get dressed. We just have to keep in mind who's eyes will be on us that day and go from there.
You got some women that are just brick houses though 😂.

I agree. I enjoy Bindi's content a lot, but when I hear snippets like this and visit her clothing site, there's a little bit of disconnect going on. While they are pretty, I think the lower cut necklines, 'high waisted' skirts, and cinched waists that she wears and sells do show off our form and, therefore, are not modest enough to keep our brethren from stumbling. The v-necks are basically an arrow pointing to our chests, and the high-waisted/cinched waists give the appearance of an hourglass figure, which men find very alluring - a large chest and wide hips. I think the clothes she wears and sells are more modest than what the world wears and sells, but the world's only standard for modesty is not getting a fine for public indecency, so the bar is practically nonexistent. Even if her clothes are giving an 'illusion' of a form, the point of modesty is to hide the female form entirely, not change or mimic the feminine physique. This is also one of the reasons I stopped wearing makeup when I became a Christian.
I'm a Christian in America, and I actually wear a head and face covering out in public and when we have guests. I started doing it during the tail end of the pandemic, and I feel more comfortable knowing that I'm doing whatever is in my power to not be a stumbling block to anybody. I believe, and through studying, that God gave women beauty as a form of glory (because the glorified state of everything is beautiful beyond imagination) and we should therefore hide that glory so as not to 'kill' our brethren, just as Moses was instructed to wear a veil to hide the glory that stained his face when he caught a glimpse of God's back so people wouldn't die when they looked at him.
I get mistaken for a Muslim a lot, but it's just because Muslims are distinguished for their total modesty. It's kind of a shame to Christian women that whenever we dress in a way that we can be certain it won't be a stumbling block to others, we get mistaken for a different religion. Christians were the ones that stood out in the earliest period of Christianity because of their modesty (everyone was pretty modest still, but i just mean Roman women werent wearing veils anymore and wearing dresses that showed more skin - like the Roman-style sculptures of Aphrodite and Athena for example). I think we should be the modest weirdos of society, and I don't think just not showing our legs is enough. Our femininity should be in our modesty and our humility, not in the colors we wear or the shape of the dresses that suit our body types (like Empire waist dresses that are marketed as "modest", but still show that you have a defined waist).
Just to be clear, I see the head and face covering to be the highest standard of modesty, while not showing legs is the bare minimum. The world's standard for modesty is on the floor, and modern Christian standards of modesty are just a little higher than that. I don't want to offend anybody, but I do believe we can do more to keep ourselves above reproach, and to not give anyone an account against us on Judgment Day.

True. Yet it could be modest while letting the agents engage in sports without the so called restraint.
Another thing is that context also contributes to the mind frame and the understanding of what dresses are.
For instance some African traditional wears for women cover just the chest region and down leaving the belly open. You could also observe the dress code in beaches, it's the same the exalting of undies.
But these don't look as indecent as when worn in the market etc.
Modesty could always be applied. It seeks moderation, virtue lies in the middle

I learned very young that fad and fashion are two very different things. Fashion is timeless and elegant and often more modest. Strive to ignore trends and go for timeless designs.
Over the last 3 years I’ve transformed my wardrobe , glory to Christ but it’s been difficult , seeing that I am really curvy with large hips . Even going a size or 2 up in dresses that are deemed modest sometimes you still can see my figure or I look like I’m wearing a potato sack and it can be discouraging sometimes
If you have a husband don't worry about looking like you're wearing a sack. No one should look at you sexually but your husband. Now if you don't have a husband you don't to attract a man with your flesh.
God created you with that figure. I don't think you should be ashamed of it.

I have the same thing, but I have figured it out over the past couple of years. We have to remember that we don't want to be vain. There are clothing items where you can look nice, but not revealing or a potato sack. Dear sister, remember your body is not yours, but the temple of the Most High. You have it on loan so to speak. To to remember that you're not trying to impress anyone with your clothing, you're covering the Holy Temple of God. ❤ If you're married, I'm sure you're husband appreciates your modesty. My husband definitely does. I also cover my head. If you're not married, your future husband will appreciate your modesty. Take heart dear sister in Christ and remember whose you are. Why does everyone misunderstand this passage? It's not about how little one wears, it's about people putting on their best, adorning with gold and such, just to show off. It's so those who have less do not feel inadequate.
I ask myself the same question every time I see a video talking about modesty. It's always the same talking points: women....don't show too much skin and don't show off your figure! Mind you....the actual verses on modesty mention nothing about skin or a woman's figure. And the topic is always framed around men and other people's opinions. Biblically speaking modesty is about God and God alone, it's about how we treat those who have less, those who have been pushed to outskirts of society. The very people Jesus came to earth to save. Modesty is humility, yet I can share from personal experience that some women will use their man-made modesty rules to esteem themselves higher and better than other women. That is the exact opposite of what the Bible wants from women who profess to be followers of God. Church/Christian tradition has turned the human into a source of sin. So, to many people....skin equals sin; the more you show...the worse you are as a person.

I understand what you're saying but my take on modesty is to basically not draw attention to yourself, and sadly wearing a covering dress now a days draws more attention than wearing a pair of fitting jeans.
I don’t think she specifically means only wearing dresses. I think she means more that women choose to wear leggings and tight fitting shirts too. I believe you could find nice shirts and pants that fits nicely that don’t looks like the body is naked with a different color.
Royalty all over the world dress modestly. Often the female royals like Princess Mary of Denmark & Queen Letizia of Spain wear tailored pants & trousers and they look more elegant, decent & respectable than any type of jeans. If royals of this world represent their kingdoms by dressing more modestly than many who profess to be Christians, what does that say about us who are supposed to be representatives of God's kingdom on this earth?
She does speak about this in her other videos. Yes, we will get attention for dressing well because society no longer sees well dressed modest women anymore.
It's a different kind of attention though. It's respectful and kind vs the type of attention we get when we wear revealing clothing... catcalls, lustful looks and behavior, hate from other women.

If you’re talking about a Muslim type dress, yes that is not very modest, but a regular flowy midi dress is always going to be more modest than jeans

I totally agree with what you're saying it's definitely the truth but sometimes I feel like we just not need to look at the woman but we need to look at the man as well some man dress very provocatively as well and they wear tight clothes to show everything and show off. Women also can be tempted and man can temp another man nowadays just like a woman can temp another woman as well. These days just like the Bible talk about you just don't how a person is and what is in their heart so both sexes need to be careful regardless and carry themself modest. In old slav culture it was offered to a woman to respect her body while wearing any clothing ,to have 3 centimetres between body and clothing ( which is 300 millimeters) that allows to protect the form but still be comfortable in many ways including the sexual aspect of the body.
I thought what a good idea to have distance 3 sm between body and cloths. And the skirt is not sticking it is just comortable hanging and protecting ,yet showing the style and female presentation in the world.

This should apply to males too. Some men wear ill-fitting clothing that just is inappropriate 😮 when you look at the bigger picture. As people of faith, modesty should go both ways (to everyone, including males, not just women).

Another thing to be aware of when it comes to modesty is not to be too flashy. You might be covered up but wearing things that are so flashy it makes people look would also be immodest. Men can do that in a suit and tie and women can do that dressing for church. Does everyone see you through the crowd in your loud suit or is your hat not only covering your head but also blocking the view of half the congregation?

A man is gonna eat the dish no matter how you serve it. Whether it's on fine China or a Dixie plate. As a woman of God, I know the importance of wearing modest clothing. But my husband absolutely HATES it. I've been sexually harassed wearing jeans that give me diaper butt and a pair of jeans I'm busting out of because I put on weight.

I went to an Evangelical church yesterday . I’ve been searching for one for my family (2 littles and my husband ). There was a woman In front of us with very tight white pants on and a sleeveless shirt on. The pants marked her buttcheeks and thights like highlighters. It was very distracting . She had a nice body but th fit was more for a party than for worship. I can’t go back to that church now. Still searching

She wasn't addressing beach or pool situation..is everyday life when you see camel toes everywhere..yoga pants are not for yoga anymore ..if you're a female and reveal everything to the world what's left for your significant one ? They have modest swim suits called burkini. You can wear it without the head covering and the leggings if you choose and it would still be modest with the swim skirt. I own one.
