  • First introduced in late October 2011 with Japanese carrier ANA, Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner is famous for many of its initial technologies. Extensively using composite materials, packing various fuel-saving features such as hybrid laminar flow control, and utilizing several advanced electronic controls, the widebody jet is an incredible piece of engineering. And for passengers, those electronic windows continue to be a feature unique to the aircraft type and is not yet found on any other aircraft!
For today’s video, let’s take a look at a few things that have changed over the last 13 years regarding the widebody jet’s production and development.

Fixes/enhancements, doesn't matter. It's not like any car manufacturer that puts out a completely new model doesn't have issues either. Some car manufacturers even have issues long into production *cough*VW*cough*
And Airbus' A350s have issues as well. It's just generally less talked about, because it's the almighty Airbus.

A350 has dimmable windows too, just had the flight😜 But, on the plus side of B787 you didn't even mentioned the great pressurisation inside. Feels like on 1000m , the others (older models) do not have that comodity , but feels like 3000m . Long flights are so much afected with this issue. Higher hull preassure reduces fatigue and most important the jetlag. After a 10h flight in the Dreamliner is almost no jetlag , the fatigue is much less than on other planes .
Just my own experience as a frequent flyer. Shortly = The Dremaliner 🙂

It would appear to be a "love it or loathe it" aeroplane. The loathe it factors seem to be 1) most of the operators making the economy class layouts as uncomfortable as possible 2) poor quality control. I have flown on both the 787 and the 350 and would take the 350 every time if there was a choice, but always remember that they are not direct competitors.
