My Flagstaff had a Wardrobe slide, bunk slide, kitchen slide and living room slide. It was awesome! I would never had been able to get my wife and kids out for at least 30 nights per year without the wardrobe slide

Another great video, thanks. This RV is almost perfect. I love the exterior colours and the interior layout. That sliding tray in the front storage, so awesome. I like the side tables beside the bed, great idea. There is room to place our arms for side sleepers. I don’t like the front window or the lack of rear mini exterior kitchen. I’m a Jayco family RVer but this Rockwood is a contender for our next RV.
This was our first Flagstaff in 2019. It did not have the large storge cabinet area behind the tv. No complaints about it, my wife just wanted more counter space. Mommy wants, Mommy gets.
Nice review Josh! This is one of the best floorplans in a travel trailer I've seen. Nice cabinetry as usual in Rockwood/Flagstaff. Great addition of cargo tray! Would like to see the floor vent removed, eliminate the marine woven flooring and have it match the rest of the floor, and a 50 gal. or more black tank and it would be at the top of the crop!
My wife and I have a 2022 Rockwood 2205S with a true queen bed at 60”x80”. As for the door privacy shade, it was a pain in the ass. I took down the factory door valance, removed the fabric, fabricated a new valance frame, covered it with the fabric and mounted a room darkening roller shade behind it. Soooo much better.

I recently watched one talking about A frame collapsing, Lippert vs manufacturers, etc and I wanted to share my recent experience with you. I purchased a 2024 Jayco Jay Flight 210QB, 500 tongue weight, 5500 GVWR. The dealership installed a weight distribution hitch rated for 801-1,200 lb tongue and 12,000 lbs. When I called to let them know I wanted one more closely rated for the weight of my travel trailer, the service manager said that they have never had a problem and that they use this hitch for everything and that they dont even stock smaller weight distribution hitches. I have always appreciated your honesty, even when it's not beneficial to you to share. Just wanted to give you perhaps a different perspective.
Bathroom size is important to me. Buddy’s Jayco has a bathroom that has maybe 3 sq ft to stand/dry/wipe in. Like the wardrobe and the pantrytainment. Great for heavier coats and semi-extended camping.
If I win the lottery, that is exactly what I would buy instead of a house. I love the change of scenery. It's boring living in the same neighborhood over and over
They don't have the floor plan that we're looking for, but you cannot miss with Rockwoods. We've had 3 over the years and they were absolutely terrific for us. They might be a bit more money, but you do get your money's worth.

Love our 2023 2606WS. The only thing that it didn't come with was the 8ft MoRryde tray which we installed ourselves, makes such a difference. Waiting for the spring to come here in Utah, so we can start camping again. Were not ones who like to camp when its cold, LOL.
Definitely appreciate the road mode part. Not a deal maker for me, but better road mode can be a tiebreaker. I like accessible toilet. Wife likes accessible dinnette or bar type option. Once we are just couples camping, we may like bed access, but right now we have three teenagers with us and few, if any, would have 5 accessible sleeping options
A way to get more counter space, the flip up bit could have another flip up underneath it, but unfolds like a book from the side of it, out toward the living space so it wouldn’t block any doors.
Love: Azdel composite, Closet at entrance, Slide tray in front compartment! Likes: Side hinged compartment doors, TPMS, true queen mattress, table & chairs! Dislikes: Slide door for bedroom and bathroom, no counter space, no gas fridge, not enough solar for long term off grid, two different discharge for black and grey tanks! Extremely Dislike: Schwintek Slide mechanisms, several piece shower too many screws to leak by! Overall I like it!!
Yeah baby! “RockStaff” make one heck of a nice unit….. and thats saying a lot since I am very demanding . I also like the Palomino Solaire line too. Very similar build qualities and features from what I can tell. Im still looking but at this point its between the aforementioned brands. Too bad Solaire dropped the rear kitchen model with the pullout and two recliners from their lineup. To me that model was 110% perfect… perhaps you can use your influence to help bring it back. I watch lots of videos and look at lots of websites for that "perfect" trailer and always return to the Rockwood 2606ws. Now, with a true queen bed. Awesome. Lots of great pop-culture references in this one, and I will say, Julie Numar was my favorite. Don't know how they got that Cat Woman suit on her, but I was not complaining.
The only things I can complain about are the lack of counterspace, floor vents and kitchen storage (though that big walk-in pantry and a boot dinette would help). I like the theater seat as configured. I'm old and cranky and want my space.
Remember.... 29' 9" is without the spare tire. 30' 9" with the spare tire. Yes we own this model. Ours is a 2019 and we love it. We've made 4 trips from Michigan to Florida and countless other trips. Id estimate 15,000 miles so far, we're retired and spend 90 plus days a year in it, and no issues other then the window blind strings all broke and needed replaced. Well, I have my fireplace with this unit, however, I'm not a fan of this floorplan due to the extremely limited camp side windows. I do like the storage slide in the bedroom though. I always like those as well as the sliding tray in the pass through storage. All brands should do this!
Good layout although I think this would be a good candidate for dual entries. More and more I'm in the mindset that dinette's are kind of useless and use up valuable space. If I could make a suggestion it would be to shorten the slide and move the fridge and pantry into it and extend the countertop.
I love camp kitchens when they were good. It seems like MFGs kept nickel and diming them to death. Now they're just kinda sad and I'm sort of in the camp of "just give me the space to do what I want with them"

Hey Josh I know I'm a little slow and I'm messed up but was that trick photography? You showed the The pantry then you turn around and showed a right hand open refrigerator and then when you panned around to the sink it was a left hand open refrigerator either I'm messed up or that's two different reels there from two different RVs.
Coming from a ROO 233S, and being a "fluffy guy", a tight bathroom and a small shower are deal breakers. We cannot use our shower in the ROO as it is. I also MUST have a bed with access from both sides of the mattress (which 99% of normal TT's have). I prefer free standing table and chairs over a dinette too. And maybe the hide-a-bed sofa over the Theater seats, but the wife would have to be the one to make that call.
We passed on Rockwood for years because of the camp queen. ( Sorry Steve ) Glad to see they got rid of the friction hinge entry door. Wouldn't an on demand water heater eliminate the need for the shower miser? For a few dollars more, 🤠 why don't manufacturers put shelves in the kitchen cabinets? I gotta know what the small square plate above the left side bed wall outlets is? Seems kind of high to be a switch, and I saw the solar read out by the theater seats.
Yep, this is the hidden negative with the RW brand. Most of their rigs have this problem. Some are nearly 40% heavier than competitors with similar floor plans. This is what's stopping me buying a 2509s.
We would rather NOT have that "Walk in Closet" by the entry door. That brown wood that houses that closet looks as if it's jutting too far out into the room in our opinion and we don't like that. Also, We would rather have a big window where the dresser is in the bedroom. Also, We would like a bigger window in the bathroom.
Well, we already have a Flagstaff Micro Lite 25FBLS . We really don’t have a lot to complain about. But since we are retired and “most times” travelers always looking for more storage ✔️, which this model seems to have. Also the added dinette✔️ is another tick. Under 30 ft✔️. And of course as mentioned earlier. Able to access the private bedroom in travel mode✔️, for those times that we have to overnight at rest stops. So far we have not been able to find anything that ticks all the boxes, although this one comes close. We enjoy the search though. Meanwhile we will enjoy what we have, as we are quite blessed with the FBLS. 😅
There are 3 things that I really wish manufacturers could come up with on rvs. #3 A grey tank flush !! Come on, if they put them on the black, they can put them on the gray ! #2 Can’t they come up with some kind of retractable screen on the screen door so you can adjust the privacy shade in the door without having to open the entire door every time we want to adjust the shade ??!! And my #1 pet peeve, with technology as it is today why in the world can’t they develop a toilet that will refill the water level on its own? There’s nothing more frustrating than having to stand there and get the perfect position of the foot pedal to let water fill only to have your foot slip when your almost finished and flush the whole thing and you have to start all over again ! Maybe you could put in a word with the manufacturers on a few of these things, especially the Rockwoods because that’s what I want to be my next RV lol . Thanks for all you do and keep up the good work.
@Josh - For the cabinets over the head of the bed, why do they hang the doors in what appears to be the wrong direction from the way a customer would access the storage from the side of the bed? Seems to me to be counter intuitive. In my coach I turned the doors around so the handles are closer for a person to access that storage.
My wife and I play a game, every time a new trailer comes out with a letter combo at the end of the model name that we've never seen before we guess at what it means "WS" is new to us, but before watching the video neither of us could even guess what it stood for, looking at the layout alone, maybe Wardrobe Slide?
Bummer, now with Azdel, and a full sized queen. I wish my 2023 had the awning support; Rockwood told me it wasn't needed, looks like it might be good idea. :-) Where is the antenna for the TV/wifi ranger?

Floor vents are tricky like that. They're significantly more effective at heating the RV but since the heat plenum/ducting runs between the floor joists they can't move them around. They are half-forced to be wherever they happen to fall
I know you don't want to hear it again BUT, we've been looking for the just right RV for 3 years. We've finally in a position to buy one and this one looks great EXCEPT, why is Rockwood changing over to the NON-cuddle compliant theater seat? That stinks and I don't want to unbolt stuff to switch from one to another. It may seem silly to you, but the moveable armrest theater seat is the thing that got us into Rockwood in the first place. If this new seat is the norm for Rockwoods in general, then we'll be unfortunately looking at other brands as much as we love Rockwood.
A couple of questions: Do they offer increased solar for longer off-grid time? How would you compare the Rockwood with the Grand Design Imagine (same layout0 in terms of quality and price? Thanks.

We just bought this unit at Bish’s in Longview Tx. Has as much storage as our previous fifth wheel and we love it.
For our needs, love the theater seats. Like the bathroom. Like the cargo tray. We also prefer the bench dinette. Nice TT.

Perhaps consider the Heritage Glen/Hemisphere 25RBHL as a 2nd look. the new 2024's are very nicely appointed

Yep, this is the hidden negative with the RW brand. Most of their rigs have this problem. Some are nearly 40% heavier than competitors with similar floor plans. This is what's stopping me buying a 2509s.
That drop frame and storage tray are the culprits
We would rather NOT have that "Walk in Closet" by the entry door. That brown wood that houses that closet looks as if it's jutting too far out into the room in our opinion and we don't like that. Also,
We would rather have a big window where the dresser is in the bedroom. Also,
We would like a bigger window in the bathroom.

Do you think the floor vent covers could be changed from the grill “meat slicer” to the flat kind you’ve shown in some others?

Well, we already have a Flagstaff Micro Lite 25FBLS . We really don’t have a lot to complain about. But since we are retired and “most times” travelers always looking for more storage ✔️, which this model seems to have. Also the added dinette✔️ is another tick. Under 30 ft✔️. And of course as mentioned earlier. Able to access the private bedroom in travel mode✔️, for those times that we have to overnight at rest stops. So far we have not been able to find anything that ticks all the boxes, although this one comes close. We enjoy the search though. Meanwhile we will enjoy what we have, as we are quite blessed with the FBLS. 😅
I also prefer Julie Newman.
There are 3 things that I really wish manufacturers could come up with on rvs.
#3 A grey tank flush !! Come on, if they put them on the black, they can put them on the gray !
#2 Can’t they come up with some kind of retractable screen on the screen door so you can adjust the privacy shade in the door without having to open the entire door every time we want to adjust the shade ??!!
And my #1 pet peeve, with technology as it is today why in the world can’t they develop a toilet that will refill the water level on its own? There’s nothing more frustrating than having to stand there and get the perfect position of the foot pedal to let water fill only to have your foot slip when your almost finished and flush the whole thing and you have to start all over again !
Maybe you could put in a word with the manufacturers on a few of these things, especially the Rockwoods because that’s what I want to be my next RV lol . Thanks for all you do and keep up the good work.

@Josh - For the cabinets over the head of the bed, why do they hang the doors in what appears to be the wrong direction from the way a customer would access the storage from the side of the bed? Seems to me to be counter intuitive. In my coach I turned the doors around so the handles are closer for a person to access that storage.

My wife and I play a game, every time a new trailer comes out with a letter combo at the end of the model name that we've never seen before we guess at what it means "WS" is new to us, but before watching the video neither of us could even guess what it stood for, looking at the layout alone, maybe Wardrobe Slide?

They're using omnidirectional antennas now so you dont see anything inside.

Great layout. But, was the floor vent guy having a bad day? Right in the walking area...seriously?
Floor vents are tricky like that. They're significantly more effective at heating the RV but since the heat plenum/ducting runs between the floor joists they can't move them around. They are half-forced to be wherever they happen to fall
I know you don't want to hear it again BUT, we've been looking for the just right RV for 3 years. We've finally in a position to buy one and this one looks great EXCEPT, why is Rockwood changing over to the NON-cuddle compliant theater seat? That stinks and I don't want to unbolt stuff to switch from one to another. It may seem silly to you, but the moveable armrest theater seat is the thing that got us into Rockwood in the first place. If this new seat is the norm for Rockwoods in general, then we'll be unfortunately looking at other brands as much as we love Rockwood.
That theater seat change kinda baffled me. I preferred the old one
