- NH 25 is a National Highway in India that connects Barmer and Beawar in the state of Rajasthan. It is 330 km long highway and passes through Jodhpur.
It has recently been upgraded to four lanes by the National Highways Authority of India.
Beawar is a city in Ajmer district of Rajasthan. It was the financial capital of Merwara state of Rajputana.
As of 2011, the population of Beawar is 3,42,935. It is located 184 km (114 mi) southwest of the state capital Jaipur, amidst Aravali hills.
The city used to be a major center of trade, especially in raw cotton, and used to have cotton presses and mills.

I'm from Beawar. The word "Beawar" came from the words "Be Aware", as Beawar was the hub for freedom fighters, Britishers usually called them bandits, as those people lived in Aravali Hills and attacked and looted British goods travelling between three rajputana houses, Jodhpur, Jaipur, and Bikaner. That's why Britishers established Beawar city as military colony under Colonel Dixon and secured the city by walls and with gates, called Chang Gate, Ajmeri Gate, Mewari Gate, and Surajpol Gate. And therefore whenever any Britishers left the city from these gates, he/she warned with "Be Aware", and a board was also marked with "Be Aware" outside of these gates, which subsequently became "Beawar". Since this city was built by Britishers, so first church of Rajasthan is in Beawar.
That's the brief history of Beawar I thought may be interesting to all.
I admire Rajasthan because of low population density .
Otherwise popualtion of UP and Bihar is huge , while travelling on highways in these eastern state you will find the highway full of people , shops , animals , houses , litter and dirt .
Up is not Bihar , up has the most expressways which are acess controlled and the best expressway in India ( yamuna ) is also in up

The highway was planned under UPA government and it's was constructed from june 2011 to june 2015.
Majority of the work was under UPA government, although the finishing work was undertaken by BJP government. It's a very good highway.
But current highways in Rajasthan need immediate repairs for them to be called actually highways.
