  • You can easily dig an 18 inch deep trench, even through gravel, with a gas pressure washer.

This also prevents you from cutting pipes or wires accidentally

I was thinking about doing this around my foundation to add extra water proofing and rigid insulation.

I had to go about 15 feet along the foundation of the red barn, and it works great to get all the mud off the concrete too.

Good idea adding the sump pump

Yeah, you gotta drain the work zone or you can’t see.

Won't the sand clog up the sump pump?

Did you fill in the trench with extra top soil when finished, or did you capture the excavated mud?

I am about to try digging out an old drain that is surrounded by huge roots. This could be the answer to my prayers.

Did it work for digging through roots? I need to do that. I can't dig with a bar and shovel, the roots are just too tough. Did you use an electric power washer? 0 degree nozzle?

I had to put it off due to the terrible weather here and hurting my back@@aomanchutube. It's on a concrete driveway slope down to a public road too and we have some pretty harsh rules on silt here. Digging a separate hole for a pump downhill I can pump the water out onto grass may work. A digger may also be needed due to my back. I was going to use a karcher K6 electric. It wouldn't have as much power as this but I originally planned digging to the roots. water blasting them clean and then using an electric chainsaw on the roots. The roots are a native hardwood and are extremely tough, a lot around 6 inches in diameter.

I'm about to use mine to dig out a trench under my driveway in order to run power for lights to my flagpole.
    Great minds think alike!

Super narrow. You want highest possible pressure in a thin knife-like stream
