- Warning: Making Soft Plastic lures can involve high temperature liquid plastic under pressure and is inherently dangerous if spilled or mishandled. Proceed making lures at your own risk.
Welcome to another episode of the World's Worst Fishing!
We are back with more Plastics! Today we are featuring the stick worm. Stick Worms are a very effective and popular bait among modern bass anglers and I show you how I make the perfect one!
Remember to always wear gloves and use caution when working with plastisol and hot molds. Injection molds get very hot and the plastic is under pressure when using the injectors. Stay tuned for more bait-making videos and tips!

Love watching your soft plastic making videos more than any others I’ve ever seen!!!! Keep up the great videos👍🏻
Dustin H Thank you very much.. enjoy making the videos. Tight lines man
Always enjoy the videos man, great job!!
The salt also increases flavor as well as the bite. I just tasted all my stick baits and some flukes today. I noticed the ones that had little to no salt i barely or never caught anything but the ones with the most salt were my confidence baits (original senko & yum dingers). Awesome video 🤙👍
Great video like always. I just wanted to say where do you get your packages for your senkos?
Another awesome video. Definitely can't wait to make some of these. Gotta love Senkos
senkos are fun to make! youll have a blast
Love the vids keep them coming
Awesome Video!!! Thanks Again!
Thanks man this was a great video. I'll be grabbing a bag from you!
The final product in the package looks better then 99% of the baits / brands on the shelves at the local stores. You've done an amazing job in your videos and I (all of us) appreciate you sharing the knowledge you have learned over the years. I'm sure you have spent thousands on "trial and error" that we, can now avoid, thanks to you. I plan on buying some baits from you to help support a future giant in the fishing world.
Thank you!!
Blizzard56k thank you for the kind words, glad you like the videos, and yes a lot of time has gone into it, hope I can still improve as well. Tight lines man
Dude awesome color ! Thanks for your informative videos i love them.
Thanks so much
Love watching keep up the good work. Question where did you make you packaging bags
Great video I found everything I need!!!
Great video on Senko making!!
Todd Daniel Thank you sir..glad you like the video.
Always been interested in making plastics, though was always told it's too involved , though by watching you , its not as involved as I thought. Thanks for you Awesome POSSUM videos
Nice Packaging as well brother.
Really love your content and plan to start making my own soft plastics. How did you design your laminated worm bags?
Thank you for this. Ive been searching everywhere for how much salt to add lol. This is an older video before I subscribed lol it must have been before the drumroll started
Im going to make my own senkos! What you recommend for a beginner startup!
Awesome vid brother. You are teaching me so much. I kept silent asking, when do I use salt, lol. Now I know. I know I asked in on of your other vids but I just wanna make sure, if I use the deadens plastic, I shouldn't need to add heat stabilizer or degas, correct ?
Great video! What brand senko mold is this?
How long do you let the senko sit in the mold after pouring before you take the clamps off and open up the mold?
What size measuring cup for the plastic do you use
Great vid, Hey where are you getting your bags printed?
Can you laminate the sinking blend and the floating blind and when they or do they not have compatible properties? If you can I was thinking that a stick bait with floating blind on the tips and sinking blend in the middle would make for interesting fall characteristics. Also doing a shorter stickbait with sinking blend just in the head portion of the worm and the rest of it floating blind would give it good action when Ned rigging.
Need help figuring out why I keep getting air bubbles? Haven't had this trouble before. The last couple of pours. It is usually only in one of the worms. Any suggestions? Using dead on medium plastic
Hey where can I have custom bait bags made?
Do you have a list of ingredients needed to start making these if i already have the mold?
When I make my baits and I’m letting them cool in the aluminum mold, the salt is settled on the bottom of the senko making the other side pretty soft
brilliant senkos I catch lots of perch in the uk on 3 to 4inch love the video
drop shotting and jig fishing for perch adventures thanks..still going to figure out a way to ship internationally for you.
thank you I really appreciate that my friend
Looking to get started in making my own soft plastics
If add salt to make plastics sink, what do you do to make them float? Like in a Ned rig.
Where did you get the products too make those
What senko mold do you like the best?
Could you give me a link for where to buy molds? And everything I need
Where did you get the bags
Ive watched alot of your videos and I've wondered the sprue... (if spelled right)...excpesally the laminates you cannot remelt if you could use them like a big senko
probably not, they are really thick and wont have harldy any action
How do you get your bags
I am very interested in Learning to make my own lures and soft plastic. Where do I get the equipment and supplies to make my own?
Can you explain the degasser pump? Why is that important? Etc.? Thanks much!
it removes air bubbles from plastic...so if I get moisture in my plastisol, I can degas it and the baits look good again.
good video I just started making my own soft plastics could you tell me some companies you buy your molds from
Scottie Grisham : The Quiet Fisherman/Hunter I cover some of that I'm my latest video..check it out czcams.com/video/SAB9P_7VMxA/video.html
what brand is your plastic and hardener
Is the vacuum chamber a must have ? I’m just getting into making plastics and 1st I’ve seen this .
Glen Daugherity it's a must have for me since I can't stand micro bubbles in my product.. I would suggest using a high-quality plastic known for low bubbles if you do not want to buy a vacuum chamber..
where did you get your supplies and molds. I like your video.
What size Irwin clamps are those?
how do you get the salt from just sitting on the bottom ? i tried all kinds of salt i cant find any that will blend in with plastic it all just goes to bottom an it changes the color ect...
Hey I've been watching for a while and just got all of my stuff shipped in today. I was wondering how hot is the plastic when you add the glitter? Or does it even matter when you add it?
usually about 350 or less..too hot and the glitter will start to look bad
Where do you get those awesome product bags with your logo on it?
If I want to get started into making plastics. What do I need to order. I have no clue about all the Oil and plastic. Please read
What does the D-gas machine do? Can you explain this more? How long do you do it for?
How do you know how much of what to add to different worms?
What site do you get the gear at?
I hope this is not a "bad", If it is something you will answer, Where can I purchase bags like the one you use? Thanks!
Excellent video as always. One question though. Do you have to reheat the plastic after you add the salt?
basscatlildave yes, I always reheat the plastic after it cools down a bit so I can use all of it..salt doesn't change that.
Thanks I figured that much room temperature salt would cool it down more. Do you ever check your temps?
basscatlildave yes almost always, especially when doing laminates..those temperature guns work like a charm
basscatlildave I think I misinterpreted your first question, yes usually I reheat a little bit after adding salt since it really cools it down..
Is there a big difference to use salt and no salt
What kind of lureworks plastisol do you use? I see that there a multiple types on thier website
I use pourasol medium when I use Lureworks. It's makes a great bait..just don't over stir it and keep the lids shut to keep out moisture..it can have bubble issues.
Do you ever mold flat tail 6 inch steelhead worms
Where do I buy that mold?
So I know this vid is old, but everytime I add salt it sinks the bottom of the mold while the bait is cooling. This leaves a line of hard salt along one side of my baits. Any suggestions
Maybe mix it the salt in for a good 1-2 min the pour them in the molds
Have you tried a sink rate test of your senko baits compared to a Yamamoto bait ? Wondering how they compared.
Hello Gle, I have not done any sink tests
Hey worlds worst fishing, Me and my brother are starting a bait business.you have tought us a lot.we are starting out with sincos do you have any tips
I’ll shorten that up into some questions I got lazy while writing it😂😂 1. Do I really need an injector or could I pour it in it’s just preferred to use one. 2. The mold I bought is a senko mold, should I be worried because it feels like hard plastic not aluminum like most molds but it had reviews that said it worked. 3. How long should I put it in the microwave after stirring I bought Suspendasol and need an average time frame for one senko to be made. 4. How long do I let them dry for? 5. I’m using the color pink will that not burn if I have heat stabilizer I’m trying to roughy this out and make a hard copy am I set up enough to do the procedure I understand this isn’t the most ethical thing but I’m willing to do it extremely careful just to see what happens
Could you tell me where you got your bait molds? Im very interested in starting to make my own! I would appriciate it!
Jacob Augustyn I made a video called your complete guide to plastics..check it out, I talk about where to get molds and put links in the description.
Which mold are you using?
Where can I get these molds?
Should I be adding some type of salt to my Plastics (and if so is there some type of salt where I can buy) my senko sinks very slowly, what am I doing wrong?
Yes, salt is a must for a senko..and really, any bait you want to add weight to, or add sink to needs some salt.
Love these videos. You make it look so easy! What company do you get your bags made?
Justin Robbins thanks..glad you like the videos..the bags were the toughest part. I had to be given the name of a bag manufacturer in Hong Kong that could make and print the right kind of laminated bags..I had a minimum order of 20,000 units..very expensive long process. Tight lines man
World's Worst Fishing is there any way you could give me the name as well? Email? I am having the HARDEST time with it
Justin Robbins Man tbh the person that gave me the contact wishes for me to not give it out..it's an industry secret that companies don't want the little guy to know..sort of like how Plastisol is made..you won't find any recipes anywhere. My advice is narrow your search by searching for custom printed laminated worm bags..and only look in China..any company in the US that offers it is subbing the work out to China and upcharging you.
See i knew that, but its always worth a shot haha. I totally understand and who knows i might find my contact to share and tell as well. I will definitely do that and i really appreciate it!! yeah thats what i figured, thats how everything works nowadays. Looking forward to combing through your videos. stay hooked
Justin Robbins Yeah..they aren't too hard to find imo if you know what to look for.. and honestly I haven't bought bags in like 3 years, so I have no idea if my people are still in business, I can't even find them with a search and I know the name haha. Hope you like the channel and thanks for Subbing. Tight lines
I believe the salt would be 20% of the baits total composition
About 20 without glitter and color
How does your liquid stay so liquidy for so long? When I inject I feel like I have to rush and even when I do that it hardens up before I get a full injection in. Always have air bubbles in senkos.
Same did you find a solution
Hey I’ve been fishing for many years now and have always wanted to try to make soft plastics but I only wanna spend like $60 I have bought Suspendasol which I guess is a soft type of plastisol for soft baits and I have a mold I found on amazon for $25 it’s a 4’ plastic senko mold I bought a pink color dye and yellow .008 glitter I have some questions about this I just wanna give it a rough run for now and see if I get into it without spending a lot of money I have some questions I’ve been watching videos and most people use the injectors and I thought is this just a safety procedure or something so you don’t burn yourself because I was planning on just being careful and pouring it in is that ok if I am extremely careful or do you need a injector for some reason I also wanted to know the mold I bought it feels legit but should I be worried since it isn’t aluminum like mosts I did buy heat stabilizer and I’m using a pink dye. Instruction is hard to find on how long I should stick it in the microwave if I just wanted to do one senko mold or an average time. I really don’t wanna spend $60 just to mess things up and give up on this because I can see me investing money into this I know I sound cheap😂😂 the coronavirus got me sitting at home trying to find new hobbies but I need questions answered before I hurt myself by rushing got any tips and cooking times, requirements I know this was long and I appreciate if you read it all have a great day! Love the videos I’ll be sure to subscribe!!
B33Tl3JU1C3ISE always heat in small increments if you are unsure. Take it 10, 20, 30 seconds at a time until you learn how your microwave heats
where do you get like the plastic and like that suff
Dead On Plastix
Great video dude! Where did you make the plastic bag? It looks awesome
charrua 12 my sister did my artwork and we had the bags manufactured in China!
World's Worst Fishing very cool! Can you help me with my bags ? Some one contact for call or mail?
I keep getting worms that are not complete. What causes this?
Where do you get your packaging from?
Bag manufacturer in Hong Kong.
Where is the best/cheapest place to buy those bags
Clay Nix no such thing man ha..custom printed worm bags are a tough cookie. I had mine made by a bag manufacturer in Hong Kong and you have to get thousands at a time..very expensive time consuming process..but prices are better going straight to the bag makers in china
How do you get the molds for the plactics
purchase them online
What is Your favorite Senko color?? Let us know
World's Worst Fishing June bug purple flake
Green pumpkin with black flake for smallmouth!
When you say full measuring cup are talking about a full Pyrex cup or an actual cup? And from watching the video I'm guessing you go by feel for the softener and heat stabilizer?
Jay Reed basically I measure out to the 1cup line on the Pyrex cup..and yes I do softener and heat stabilizer by feel.
World's Worst Fishing how many senkos will that amount make?
Where do you get your company bait bags done. I just started my own small bait company and wondered were the pros got the cool bags. Thanks. You are the reason I started my company.
Tyler Gibson Outdoor Adventures Tyler...the bags came from a bag manufacturer in China..they are actually quite difficult to get and expensive since the minimum order was 20,000 bags.. shipping alone was $800 lol. Most of the big companies all get bags printed overseas but you have to place very large orders. I was unable to find a small bag manufacturer that could print the correct bags, worm bags have to have several layers of lamination so that the oils from the bait do not bleed and make the ink run.
World's Worst Fishing WOW. A little out of my budget. I hope my friends don't mind the ziplock bags I gave my swimbaits in.
Tyler Gibson Outdoor Adventures haha well you can buy actual worm bags that are just plain and put a sticker on them, that way if you add scent oil or worm oil it will not permeate through the bag and evaporate. Just print some stickers and put them on worm bags and that's really all you need
World's Worst Fishing Ya. I will try that and see what my friends think. That will definitely work for the time being. Thanks.
Tyler Gibson Outdoors
Hi, what do you do if you are making WHITE soft plastic baits and after about 15 baits, they are now yellow? Also, can you correct the yellowing of the bait?
Marian Hall you should put some heat stabilizer bcz of reheating your kinda burning the plastic and no you can't get rid of that yellow
Love senkos
curious, what would you change about this video if you remade it today?
New to this so just wondering. Do you have to have your own designed molds to sell baits you inject? Or can I get any mold off line inject them and sell them legally?
if you buy from American mold companies like bass tackle, angling Ai and places like that, you can resell those baits without any problem.. however a few Bates from the big companies are patented, so I would advise trying to stay away from exact copies of those Bates
World's Worst Fishing Thanks!
Now that you are using DeadOn plastics, what formula are you using and are you still using the softener and salt?
I use the worm and swimbait blends...dont add any softener and only add salt to stick worms
I am getting into this and I just used old plastic baits not "plasasaw " I melted it down and I turned a different color. Did I melt it down to hot and burned it
yeah gotta be careful..you can burn plastisol easily
So all baits are made of plastasaw
nearly all soft plastics are made from Plastisol
Can I use a regular kitchen salt?
I think so...the stuff the bait suppliers sell is a little different but its worth a try
Could you do a write up of the recipe you use?
Where do you get your injecters
Chase Jones bait junkies
if we assume the glitter and dye don't exist.
there is 4 parts plastisol and 1 part salt which is 1/5 salt by volume, not mass.
Bro where do you get to make your own plastic bags for your baits with your logo on it????
You have to have them made by actual bag factories in Hong Kong..it requires large orders of multiple thousands of bags.
Alright man I cant take it anymore, I find my self going down the rabbit hole with your videos so im just gonna subscribe! Im a FL boy my self up around Jacksonville. I am planning on making my own plastics soon as I finish my tackle cave haha. If you get the chance check out my video of my tournament on Rodman, keep it up!
All this video needed was some ice cold Shiner Bock in bottles. Oh yeah.
Were can I get my custom bags
Gotta get them from China..its a special type of bag..the company i used went out of business so I dont even know who to use anymore
Where do you get you product bags made?
From a plastic bag manufacturer in Hong Kong..you have to get them custom made in china.
@@WorldsWorstFishing right on!!
you should make a youtube group thing with the new youtube chat groups
yea you should do that worlds worst fishing
ADD THE WACKY RIG BAND IN WITH THE MIX!!!!! BOOOOOOOM game changer
what size injector
Southern airgun I think it's a 8-9 oz
Some people put the color in after they heat it have you tried this?
Kyle Stub Yes for sure..some people don't want to cook the colorant in with the plastic since more time in the microwave = less life of the color. I just have the habit of mixing formulas cold.
3 to 1 is the mix I believe.
What is your website
Where did you get your 8-9oz injector please?
Baitjunkys
Awesome..thank you so much!
I sent you an email sweety! :-)
