What concerns me is, how did the devil get in the brush in the first place?
It all started 300 years ago, there was a warrior strong enough to kill all that oppose him. His name was Bobbie Rossman He was well known throughout his kingdom, and even known by others. One day, a group of well armored and armed knights destroyed his kingdom, leaving nothing but small piles of ash, despair and faint memories of joy and peace. There were only two survivors, Bobbie Rossman, and his king, Sir Erectus II. Bobbie was in good shape, the king, however was very close to death.
And so in Bobbie's arms, Erectus told him, "You mustn't let our kingdom be forgotten, please, take my paintbrush of power, with it, destroy those whom oppose you... I am counting on you to carry on the honor of our home...." with his last remaining strength, Erectus slowly handed a longsword shaped like a paintbrush to Bobbie. "Now go
... bef-or-e they find you...."
"But you cant... you cant die! Please... tell me what I need to do to heal you! Please! Anything!" Bobbie pleaded. The king and him were close friends, and would always play around as children.
"There isnt time.... leave."
Bobbie sobbed, but knew what he had to do. He held the sword with all his strength and might and made a promise to Erectus, "I swear to you, I will take my revenge and kill the people who destroyed our home.." Erectus smiled, lightly, almost forced and so subtle. Then, the life in his eyes faded away, and he got cold, colder and colder. His pulse had stopped, and he was dead. Bobbie ran to hide away under some debris from an annihilated house, with the sword held closely to him.
After a few hours, the knights had left and Bobbie got out of where he was hiding. He knew exactly what he had to do. So he practiced wielding the sword, practiced and practiced and practiced until he was good at wielding it. By now, five years after what had happened, he lived in another kingdom, and became well known there, as well. He took a horse from the stable and journeyed. He journeyed to the village he heard that the knights were from. He traveled there with nothing but the sword, heavy armor, a horse and little to no food with him. When he made it, he socialized with the residents there, one of them had told Bobbie about their most famous knights that would always prevail in all battles. He went to talk to them, see what they were like. As it had turned out, one of them had already died and that left two of them remaining.
"So, how many kingdoms and villages have you destroyed?" Bobbie asked, in a slightly rude manner.
"About 20. Why? How many have you destroyed?" One of the knights said.
"Oh no reason at all. I've destroyed thirty." Bobbie lied. He knew he needed to lie to the knights to impress them, otherwise they would find him credible at all. "Anway, wanna duel?"
"Sure. But dont be mad when I kill you, got it?"
"Yeah. Sure."
And so, Bobbie and the knight began to fight, it was an almost everlasting battle. It lasted up to 20 minutes until Bobbie got a direct stab into the knight's heart.
The knight bowed his head. "I respect you.. f-or getting to t-his point. I'm going to always remember you after this battle." The knight then gave a sinister grin to Bobbie. "I'll spare you." And so, the knight jumped up about 10 km into the air then crashed on the ground with a ton of force. The knight's stab wound had already healed and he kicked Bobbie in his gut so hard that he started bleeding internally, and coughed up blood.
_This is it. This is the end. I'm going to die.... Erectus, I'm sorry, I've failed you. Please, forgive me!_ as he was trying to come up with some kind of plan, he couldn't, it seemed so unreal that after years of training, he was brought to his knees by a single kick. He was stuck there. Helpless, in disbelief. The knight was laughing hysterically. "This is the part..." he walked closer to Bobbie since the kick pushed Bobbie really far back. *_"Where you die!"_* The knight yelled. He then proceeded to punch Bobbie in the chest hard enough to break his ribcage and then ripped out one of bobbie's lungs. Everything Bobbie saw started to slowly fade, and black out. _No no no no no. This isnt happening... _*_IT CAN'T!_* his life was flashing right in front of him. His eye lids got heavy and his strength all drained, he, just like Erectus and all of the people he knew in his home kingdom died the same way.
Just before all hope was lost, quite some time later, he opened his eyes. His hands bound together by rope. He awakened in a carriage, drawn by horses. His chest area, where one of his lungs once resided was still in searing pain, but Bobbie didn't care. He was astonished that he was still alive. He wondered what had happened with the sword, but that didnt matter to him at the moment, he was alive! As he slowly lifted up his head, his neck really sore and weak after not using it for so long, a man, with blonde hair and blue eyes looked at him.
"Hey, you, you're finally awake."
Rumors say that after Bobbie stabbed the knight in the heart with his sword, it captured his life energy. This would only work on demons or other unholy beings, since the sword had a rune cast upon it. So the sword slowly devoured his life energy, and trapped him in it. And since the sword was already carrying a soul in it, it shrunk down to a small size, and looked like a small paintbrush. And that, is why Bob Ross says beat the devil out of your paintbrush, because it could very well be the same paintbrush that trapped a demon in it.
Tldr; some dude with a name like Bob Ross's trapped a demon in a paintbrush and then I ended the story with an overused meme. The end.
