My father, a natural self taught artist, use to watch this with me as we were in awe watching Bob work.

This is the first bob ross video I have every watched, I was having some rough couple days. Watching these videos genuinely bring a sunshine and joy into any dark situation. I have never felt more at peace, yet feeling like I can do anything. So no, it was not just about the painting.

The nicest thing about Bob Ross's teachings is that he does not overcomplicate the process with very little details, which can make non-artists understand easier when it comes to making their own painting. Sure his paintings looked detailed, but in reality they are all random strokes in harmony.

As an art student, this is filled to the brim with fantastic lessons and techniques some explicit, some implicit.
If any artists are like me and feeling stuck on things like simplification, environmental design, and developing their process in general... this man will guide you through it with infinite optimism.

The world needs more of Bob Ross. That man could make an angry person smile in minutes.
When I was a kid and very autistic, I was very out there, and almost nothing calmed me down. But Bob Ross was the exception. Listening to him on TV always put me at ease. The masterpieces he made always gained my eyes attention whenever he was on. And I was entertained. My parents could do other activates knowing I was glued to the screen. Coming back as an adult just makes me appreciate him even more. Thank you Ross for keeping me out of trouble growing up, and blessing the world with your paintings and calm demeaner.

I've been a beginner painter, pencil sketcher, sculpture for a long time. I'm half decent. Watching Bob inspires me to take my art to it's full potential. From start to finish. He keeps it simple and teachable. What a amazing gift he gives us for free. He does it with love and joy. God is good for blessing us with such a Great person. This guy is amazing. He definitely has a gift. As a kid I was bored by this show watching it with my grandma. Now I can't admire Bob Ross enough. He had a gift and painting was that. He could paint a perfect picture effortlessly. RIP Bob Ross a true artist.

I don’t have the tools to really follow along, and I am not a good painter, but I adore these videos. I have bad anxiety and watching these really helps. The sounds of the brushes tapping, the knife mixing and scraping, and the beautiful colors. All topped off by Bob’s incredibly soothing voice and carefree optimistic personality. Everyone is entitled to their opinions but this is a circumstance where I do not see any reason to dislike this
