This video is so effective! So well narrated. I got joint pain in my left shoulder due to some odd sleeping pattern might be. The pain has totally reduced by practicing 'pectoralis stretches.' Life long daily competitive swimmer, now at 60 starting to suffer with arthritis, bursitis, etc. These and the Bob and Brad videos are fantastic. I . Do these before master swim practice…..the easier ones I do on the long drive to pool. Love this doc, her casual clothes, casual attitude. Such a contrast to the slick ads in between….Docs(?) that force you to watch hours of their presentations a.k.a. ads.

Had a high speed cycle crash on New years day here in SA. These exercises have almost cleared up my injury and pain. Back cycling this weekend with 65km training session. I am 74 years old.

Started my day normal w/o pain an hour later were speeding to the hospital with symptoms of heart attack, EKG said all is well, went home pain seemed to get worse took Nitro.. got the headache. hour later pain lite pain in chest from shoulder down forearm into hand, husband gave massage, tried stretching NOTHING! found this video BING first exercize made 99% of the pain disappear!!! Bless you - Thank you THIS REALLY WORKS!!!

Excellent video Dr. Furlan. I am of 63 years old lady and I have a big problem just after my Pacemaker implantation (2nd time). I don’t get any rest as I am alone in my home. I am an owner of a big rooftop garden. Started working for garden just next day of my release from hospital. I must follow your exercises from tomorrow. When I go for tie my bra, I feel a severe pain in upper arm . It just twists and starts paining. This pain runs from left socket to elbow. These 15 exercises I think reduce my pain. Thank you mam. I have had shoulder pain for years now. I saw my Dr. and he said it was most likely arthritis. He sent me to a surgeon who wanted to perform surgery (of course) and a physical therapist. I did the therapy and it helped a lot, but my lifestyle of traveling frequently made it difficult to get to therapy visits regularly, so once the pain went away, I stopped.
I believe my pain in my right shoulder is delayed arthritis or impingement from my days of tennis in my teens (I'm 60 now.) I had a strong serve, but it's hurting me now. Also I played baseball and throwing...same thing.
I don't think it will ever be okay again, but your exercises seem to be just what I need to do, especially since I can do most of them in a hotel. I will give them a try.
I'm not sure how You Tube knew I had shoulder pain, but I was Googling it recently and I'm sure they communicate with each other, especially now that You Tube is owned by Google lol.

I've never seen such a thorough, professional, clear routine. I went to PT, to our hospital's wellness center to work on strengthening my core after a car accident. Within the first four sessions, my shoulder was injured from a couple of the machines. Discouraging--and the pros there gave me no substantial help. Everything I do in my daily work life aggravates the impingement, encouraging rounded shoulders: editing/writing on computer, playing piano, or the most painful, bringing my arm up and over the guitar with the strumming hand. If I were only singing, that'd be great--posture is primary there. But doing these other things 8-12 hours a day, I need exercises to remind me. I'll do one of the exercises every time I take an eye/water break, every 30 minutes. After one day I already have an improvement in range of motion. I'll update as I see further improvement. Dr. Andrea, what a blessing you are!
I'm going to laminate these exercises + descriptions to more easily incorporate them into my days.
I started practising 2 of the excersise after I came across this video last week n its been helpful, d wall Angel. Glory be to God. Thanks for d video and lessons.

So happy to have found this video! My doctor has ordered Physical Therapy for my shoulder problems (both shoulders making sleeping almost impossible since I am definitely not a back sleeper). I am seriously considering cancelling the order because I don't think they will be a thorough as Dr. Furlan. I intend to try all the exercises and see where I land. Thank you so much, Doctor. I got this frozen shoulder when I had shingles injection in 2019 I’ve had 2 injections on front and back of shoulder didn’t have any effect. This injection was done in my right shoulder and I’m right handed this is wrong. 😢

The pain on my left arm has subsided. I believe a complete relief soonest.
I injured my shoulder and could not move it properly for months. After two weeks of dr. Furlan 's exercises pain vanished. I' m really gratefull dr. Furlan. Jasna

I have all the symptoms you described in this video. I was reluctant to consult a doctors because I was not confident that I knew enough about my condition to help the doctors give an accurate diagnosis. At first everyone was saying it was the onset of arthritis, etc. I immediately changed my diet, but that made no difference. Then I started gently massaging my shoulders, down to my elbows and it brought much better immediate relief than the anti-inflammatories I used. Last week I ran a 10km charity race and even though I experienced much pain during the race, immediately afterwards I had zero pain. Unfortunately, I went back to old habits of bad sleep posture and sitting long hours in front of my computer with zero exercise. I started with some of your exercise whilst watching the video and felt immediate relief. I am going to try the sleep position you recommended and do all the exercises diligently. I hope that it will heal me completely because as a 52 year old I'm tired of feeling like I'm 80+. Also I want to start diving again but right now I can barely put on a sweater, let alone trying to wriggle into my wetsuit 😂

These are Excellent exercises. Ten years ago I tore my rotator cup in left shoulder. Back then I finally accomplished first exercises on this video.
Then they stopped my Physical Therapy like nothing more could be done.
Just lately shoulder has been hurting and cracking. The advanced exercises here is exactly what I need! Feel better after just today. Thank you so much Dr.

I went to therapy and they did not share these exercises...when is it time for surgery? I would love to hear about.im supposed to have surgery .I have two partial tears and bicipital tendon issue.

I have two very basic questions related to shoulder pain.
1) How should I decide, if pain is due to frozen shoulder or Rotator cuff?
2) Are exercises for frozen shoulder and rotator cuff same or different?

1) A doctor should be able to examine the patient and tell the difference. There are a numbe of tests that we do when we examine the patient that the patient cannot do on themselves.
2) they are different. The pendulum exercise is good for both, but the other exercises might be too hard for frozen shoulder. I should do a video about frozen shoulder in the future.
@@DrAndreaFurlan then till you make a new video on frozen shoulder, may I follow this video which I assume is for rotator cuff, if it isn't hard for me? Plz advise.

People suffering from shoulder pain or frozen shoulder should make use of the therapeutic yoga to remove their problems. The yoga posture like Gomukh (cow posture)asana as a single exercise has a corrective effect upon all the major and minor joints of the body.It exercises the finger joints, the elbows,shoulder joints, the toes,the ankles, the knees very effectively. All the muscles and nerves related to shoulder are automatically toned up activated and normalized.It restores the synovial fluid and thereby removes spasticity and pain.I have got removed all my shoulder problems by performing only this exercise.
