  • This is a 2 year follow-up Video to my DIY Pavers over concrete Video • How to Build Interlock... and comment on comments. How to Freshen your old walkway, patio, deck quickly and easily without any messy concrete or sand. Build interlocking Patio from Pavers over existing concrete or outdoor treated wood. As long as your under layer is fine structurally this is simple home improvement do it yourself project will save you $1000s. Also Learn how to cut pavers, level your pavers and how to use polymeric sand on paver joints. Will not work if you need a sand or dirt base.
    INSTRUCTORS:
IF you have dips and your concrete isn't level, you can level the pavers by placing small strategically positioned ceramic tile pieces under the pavers until each one is level. You may tie a string to one end and and run it to the other side to have a straight line under which the pavers will be placed... you must add GLUE under and over the tile pieces so they keep the pavers strongly in place before you add the polymeric sand. I went row by row dry fitting them and just made sure there was no wiggle before i applied the adhesives. I used pl3x and PL8x QUICK GRAB adhesive, I use this if I'm using high quality polymeric sand inside the joints as i don't have to worry about water penetration...( buy it here geni.us/PL8xfa...) If you're extra worried about water penetration you can use a slightly more expensive glue in conjunction with the pl8x ( No More Nails Wet Grab Adhesive geni.us/WetGra...) this stuff is used to adhere tiles inside water covered pools. You will go through no more than 3 to 4 tubes... This stuff is way more expensive than the thin sets, mortars etc but it's no mess, it's instant and imo for this specific project it was a better choice as i didn't have massive dips. These glues won't be coming off easily, but you can always cut one out if you need to later down the road.

Good 👍 job, proof is there.
Haters will always hate, and as you said, a lot of contractors might feel that it is not done correctly, but who care it is just a walk way and looks beautiful
