Man he said it. I got there slower than everyone else, and now all those people who passed me by are not there anymore. This man is an inspiration to me. He is the real deal.
This man knocked everything on the dot!! He even predicted the future with TIK Tok and everything
He does read the contracts. The contracts says a lot we don’t know
In the model for the future, he just described Spotify
estefani castro YUP!
Was thinking exactly the same thing. There were a few things he said that were prophetic.

I love your book. We used it as our text book in my Sound Arts studies. I refer to it all the time whenever I'm in doubt. Thanks for writing and sharing your book with the world.
It’s crazy how correct he was because now we’re in a time where digital streaming is booming and the go to for those services are our cellphones
Facts! As i was watching this i was thinking, wow this is wild
Great information Mr. Passman and I did purchase your book, "All You Need To Know About The Music Business".....just starting to read it as a new and upcoming singer/songwriter. Loving it!!!! Thank you sir!
This dude predicted the future... if I had watched this when it came out and invested in music streaming I'd probably be a millionaire

8 years later we have COVID-19 which has devastated the live music industry where artists make thier money. Daniel Ek of Spotify might have watched this interview to build Spotify

Hi Don
Are you still giving music advice about the music business?
👍🌠
You got to pay the plug first

So if I write 100% of the lyrics, and the producer creates 100% of the music, how much publishing do we each have?
typically, 50% unless you agree otherwise...
What if you write the song, you are the artist, have your own idea of arrangement for your music then give the producer your concept of how your music should go for the song, plus your own idea on the music format?
@@davidcottrell1308 no that is false, you both own 100% of the song because there are the lyrics and the instrumentation. the lyricist gets 100% and the producer/arranger/instrumentalist gets 100%.
@@LapisStone uh...how do you get 200% of something...."new math???"
