not everyone can handle the pressure in comp well, he tried, he can't win, so he quit, and he is now making excuses and impression farming.
All Watson wants to do kill a bunch of plats and diamond that hardly play the game because in algs he can’t win it all so rather beat on way worse players than him and brag about it.
That's pretty much what I gathered too. He is a very good player and will absolutely shit on 99.9% of the playerbase, but still not quite good enough to win pro league so he'd rather not even try. I think he's a good example of someone with insane natural ability but no work ethic.
@@OfArgento ??? First off he makes more money from content creation than competing so it makes more sense to do that. He also has grinded the game for years, which is why he's good at the game, rather than say it's natural ability. To say he doesn't have work ethic is pretty delusional considering he puts out some of the best content in the game. Meanwhile, a lot of pro players are too lazy to stream or grow their own brand and only rely on doing the bare minimum.
@@cuaty I'm sorry but waking up to stream yourself playing a video game does not constitute "work ethic" in my book. Though I suppose everyone has their own opinion. Regardless, I was referring to comp. He says he's a very competitive person, yet has quit competitive apex more than once now. Nobody who is a self proclaimed "competitive person" would NOT want to compete at the highest levels of their craft. He has a lot of reasons why he quit, but I honestly think it's all bullshit cope and essentially a self-sabotage because he doesn't think he has a chance to win and doesn't have the work ethic and determination to show up for the scrims, practice, review vods, go over macro/micro, everything else that goes into a successful pro team, to actually TRY to win. He just wants to be on easy mode shitting on regular 9-5 diamond players every day. But this is just the way I see it.

I like Watson I’ve always been a fan of him but he definitely don’t need to be competing. His mindset isn’t meant for that. He got the best LAN tourney ever but the second teams adjusted to their gameplay he just quits so easy. I hate that.
