Lush had a very early gig OPENING FOR THEM 💜🤘💜🤘 I’d have LOVED to have seen that event or even a soundboard recording would be appreciated from that night EITHER of THEM 🙃
I saw them on the WISH TOUR in Dallas! Again, after seeing them tour Disintegration they blew my mind! Robert is a GENIUS. Everyone luvs them now. Everyone caught up, finally.
I really don't know what i'm doing here i really think i should've gone to bed tonight but... just one drink and there're some people to meet you i think that you'll like them i have to say we do and i promise in less than an hour we will honestly go now why don't i just get you another while you just say hello... yeah just say hello... So i'm clutching it tight another glass in my hand and my mouth and the smiles moving up as i stand up too close and too wide and the smiles are too bright and i breathe in too deep and my head's getting light but the air is getting heavier and it's closer and i'm starting to sway and the hands on all my shoulders don't have names and they won't go away so here i go here i go again... Falling into strangers and it's only just eleven and i'm staring like a child until someone slips me heaven and i take it on my knees just like a thousand times before and i get transfixed that fixed and i'm just looking at the floor just looking at the floor yeah i look at the floor And i'm starting to laugh like an animal in pain and i've got blood on my hands and i've got hands in my brain and the first short retch leaves me gasping for more and i stagger over screaming on my way to the floor and i'm back on my back with the lights and the lies in my eyes and the colour and the music's too loud and my head's all the wrong size so here i go here i go again... Yeah i laugh and i jump and i sing and i laugh and i dance and i laugh and i laugh and i laugh and i can't seem to think where this is who i am why i'm keeping this going keep pouring it out keep pouring it down and the way the rain comes down hard that's the way i feel inside... I can't take it anymore this it i've become this is it like i get when my life's going numb i just keep moving my mouth i just keep moving my feet i say i'm loving you to death like i'm losing my breath and all the smiles that i wear and all the games that i play and all the drinks that i mix and i drink until i'm sick and all the faces that i make and all the shapes that i throw and all the people i meet and all the words that i know makes me sick to the heart oh i feel so tired... And the way the rain comes down hard that's how i feel inside...
Greatest song ever about getting pissed because you're in a place you really don't to be in and it's making you anxious and uncomfortable so you - get pissed
and most Cure fans stopped right before this album...I graduated in 90 and had to introduce it to my old friends in 2000 at our first reunion..and made the DJ play my CD Open, Cut and Deep Green Sea, and I brought some portobello mushrooms wink wink..and then I went out and grabbed a handful of Cure CDs...and 20 of us were just fck up and loving it..
Wish is still my favorite Cure album and when I heard this song I knew immediately this would be an awesome album. I was in High School and bought a cassette tape and wore it out.
The amount of times this videos played on my tv through out the past 2 years of my life is crazy... just to know that there are tons of memories behind this video somewhat saddens me. This video is amazing
Saw them 1992 in Germany: Bremen, Hamburg an Essen. It was never to be forgotten! What I miss most is the stumbling audience in front of the stage! It was really hard to stay on foot there but that was what it was all about: close to the stage, intensive loud music, jumping, people dancing, pushing, exhausting. Never forget. Quite boring today.
The introduction is so special and unique. A combination of that haunting repetitive background , which integrates the sound of wind, waves and ghostly calls. 👻
I think it's noteworthy that much of the crowd is younger. We see a lot of teens and younger adults because The Cure appealed to many - like me - who felt they were a bit of outsider, felt that they were finding out who they were inside, and felt that sometime in the music helped them connect with those answers. Fast-forward years later - like on the recent US tour, where I saw them in Atlanta - and most of the crowd is in their 40s and 50s. The kids who went to the live shows in the 80s and 90s are now the middle-aged adults who are going to their live shows in the 2020's. And the music never stopped appealing to their search for meaning.
Man the moment the lights hit them is as close as I ever got to hero worship. being up there must be such a fucking rush & all the coolest girls & boys in Europe in one place at the same time ❤️❤️❤️
It was a great Band...on point on her career..1992.....thats my best Time..great concerts..i was 21 years old...amazing Album...greets from germany Dirk 😂😂
From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea is a standout from the Wish album and this show. There are other very powerful songs performed live. Disintegration from Entreat is an example. And the versions of A Forest from this tour are EPIC.

batería potente , jovial y acelerada de Boris, ni comparada a la lentitud y parsimonia de Cooper que me hace dormir inclusive con los temas más rápidos
This video captured this tour so well and I really wish Robert would allow it to be remastered in 4k/1080p. It was shot on film so it can easily have a 4k transfer, as can In Orange. We need these things, most bands had DVD transfers of their old live VHS shows in the early 2000s. Not them, of course. Ugh.
Some my age (55+-) say they were once Goths. To the Gothic manor I was born, Gothic manners I have cultivated and at death a Goth they will bury me. My spirit is Goth, my mind swimming in a sea of shadows.

IMO, one of Robert’s greatest lyrics.
One of their best tracks...I love The Cure!
Indeed!!!

this song and video send me to a place where i want to be forever
i see the faces of everyone from my past and it makes my heart glow, even if i wasnt there
Golden ages for BritPop,Rock and all...2 decade...awesome...thank you for company me grown up with ur quality of music.
Watching this era's scenes and sights make my heart ache and mind heavy with dark nostalgia and profound melancholy. Would it all ever return?
Assolutamente verooo….
Love this song, maybe their best song of all time
I really don't know what i'm doing here

and i'm just looking at the floor
just looking at the floor
yeah i look at the floor
And i'm starting to laugh
like an animal in pain
and i've got blood on my hands
and i've got hands in my brain
and the first short retch
leaves me gasping for more
and i stagger over screaming
on my way to the floor
and i'm back on my back
with the lights and the lies in my eyes
and the colour and the music's too loud
and my head's all the wrong size
so here i go
here i go again...
Yeah i laugh and i jump
and i sing and i laugh
and i dance and i laugh
and i laugh and i laugh
and i can't seem to think
where this is
who i am
why i'm keeping this going
keep pouring it out
keep pouring it down
and the way the rain comes down hard
that's the way i feel inside...
I can't take it anymore
this it i've become
this is it like i get
when my life's going numb
i just keep moving my mouth
i just keep moving my feet
i say i'm loving you to death
like i'm losing my breath
and all the smiles that i wear
and all the games that i play
and all the drinks that i mix
and i drink until i'm sick
and all the faces that i make
and all the shapes that i throw
and all the people i meet

La intro de este video es genial, esa melodía en base a armónicos y esas imágenes de jóvenes hacen de esta una pieza de arte.

So grateful I was at this tour. Met some amazing people as well..
Wish is still my favorite Cure album and when I heard this song I knew immediately this would be an awesome album. I was in High School and bought a cassette tape and wore it out.
One thing I remember about this concert was when Simon's bass went down into the lower register, I could feel it in my bones.
