I don't even really play Mortal Kombat at all any more and I still really enjoy these.
Same, every few years i pick up one on the cheap cuz the story modes are realy fun, (mostly cuz the story is insane)

It's difficult for a speedster character to be bad. I mean, their whole thing is that they're superfast and difficult to dodge and block, them being slow would be dumb.
@@yami2957they found a way to make flash be slow in injustice games while making him look fast
LOVE what they did with him in MK 11. He's been my favorite character since back when I played MK Trilogy on PS1.
After him being forgotten/garbage in a few games, it feels like they're finally doing him justice again.
Smoke or Jade next, for some reason I've always been fascinated with how the secret characters have been handled in their transition to normal characters

I always found Armageddon really disappointing back in the day, but now I just find it so much stupid fun.

For my money, Noob's "The Batman Who Laughs" getup in MK11 is as cool as it freaking gets.
In MKU3 if you time it correctly, you can teleport as the cloud is ending into another cloud, which basically disables the opponent for the entire round. The only way to avoid the teleport while you're disabled by the cloud is to jump forward.
I'm not an MK player but I really like Noob's style. MK (2011) is my favourite, both for his looks and for the "ink" he splashes. I was happy when he returned in MK11 but his "ink" is different there, not as cool as 2011.
Honestly, the early years covarage was so detailed, I was genuinly surprise there was no mention to Tournoment Edition.
The TE was mainly a bonus thing for sektor. Unless it's sareena it's really not needed for most.

I was so pumped when I saw this pip up. Honestly, I stumbled on these last year, and even though I haven't played Mortal combat since MK 3 when I was a kid (maybe a couple tines here and there since) I found them super interesting. I subscribe and watch all your competitive histories many times. And only recently did I finally decided to buy mk 11 and I'm getting into it. So yes, worth the wait! And keep up the good work.

Smoke’s grab in Deception looks brutal. He just rams you against his knee which has spiked pads.
Deception was my favorite MK. That story mode with the free exploration was awesome!

We need sub zero! He’s had a variety of character archetypes and weird movies over the years. I believe he is also the only character to appear in every main title mk game
they need to give him back his fucking teleport bruh
iirc, that title goes to Scorpion, with Sub-Zero missing in only really 2 or 3 games, tho I'm not sure

@@andreadebernardis4390 actually Scorpion AND Sub-Zero wasn’t in MK Special Forces so that’s technically one game they both were absent in even if it was a spin off.

Competitive history of Kabal would be cool to see. I remember playing him a lot as a kid and he felt kinda really strong.
Yeah, he is definately the best character in the franchise, going off of just how often he is super powerful. He's good against basically everyone.

I want to see so many characters on a episode of competitive history but my boy Scorpion has always been my fav.
He was my favorite in mortal Kombat deception. I remember I figured out a way to perform like a 9 hit combo or something it was crazy. I hated fighting against him as well one of my friends was crazy good with him even in a mirror match.

That was a very impressive ending with MK11. It's a really interesting character.
The UMK3 [SNES] / MK Trilogy [PSX] version was my jam back then and nutty AF to play back in '97. That character was the benchmark definition of highway robbery.
The only character back then, aside from Rain, that had damage on that kind of a scale, was probably Human Smoke, due to his teleport-reset combo (which wasn't always easy to pull off, but certainly do-able in the arcade version of UMK3).
I didn't realize the Shadow Slide counted towards the Shadow Tackle KB. Nice thing to learn on here.

Ahhhh….my overall favorite character, in the newer games. Not just his fighting style & moves. But, just the CHARACTER & power set. His story arc, where his powers come from, how he goes in to the entire world-building, and so on. Love his newer MKX & MK11 design(s). So badass

"Mk9 Setup was a knowledge trap" Yeah it sure was haha, I used to bully everyone with that setup when I found it in practice. I also tested if it was possible to escape and was disappointed it was easy, but my friends sure didnt know

I love these videos so much they always hold your hand through the analysis and they’re not filled with bad jokes or shameful self-promotions. They also talk about the rarely mentioned 3D era.
Please do Kitana! She’s been in so many games, some of which (MK Tournament Edition, Shaolin Monks) I don’t even think a tier list exists online. Would really love to see her analyzed just as your previous characters were!
