This is really cool. Quick question, do you have any plans that could convert the wall bed into a daytime desk/sofa/loveseat? The desk may be easiest, as it could fold out on the bottom. Do it yourselfers could probably figure it out, but it would be cool if there were plans to follow. Great kit, thanks for the video!
Jared Dorminey at this time we dont have any plans for that option, however you can our kits can easily be modified to do what you want to do. The desk option would be a little more advanced but the sofa concept would be easier. thank you for your question.

Hi Sandra although adding a motor mechaniosm is tottally possibe with our DIY Murphy bed hardware kits, we dont have any current plans or ideas on how to do this. Doing this would require many modifications and finding the right motor/remote system to use. We have discussed this options but at this time would not be able to assist further. Its a great idea though. Thank you for the question.

How strong are those gas springs used in these kits? How secure are those and do they wear out over time?

Hola ! Tengo una duda antes de comprar el kit, podría diseñar un Murphy bed en material PVC 3/4?
Hi there yes you could build it out of PVC however the bed frame and cabinet sides should be plywood for structural support. We had a customer in Puerto Rico do a Murphy bed out of PVC but we are not able to offer support for this and we are not sure how the PVC would hold up over time.
What about plans for the Horizontal fold up beds ?

Hi bought the queen bed kit. Put everything together and finally installed the pistons but now the pistons are so strong my bed doesnt stay down.
