Switch 2 better be backwards compatible. Otherwise I'm gonna have to wait untill my switch backlog is empty.
Wouldn't be a biggie for me if the launch lineup is as lackluster as for the Switch 1.
I waited until Black Friday 2017 before picking mine up with SMO, MK8DX, three Pro Controllers, another pair of Joycons and Blaster Master Zero digitally.
im pretty sure it's already confirmed backwards compatible by leaks. either way there is absolutely NO reason it shouldn't be considering nintendo has made BC consoles many a time
it's usually pretty rare for them, but Nintendo did make the Wii U which was backwards compatible with Wii. as much flack they got at the time, one positive was it could play all Wii games on Wii U.
so say you were somebody who didn't have a Original Wii, getting the Wii U at the time would've been a smart choice. now we know sales wise it didn't do very well, but for people who bought one got the best of both world's. but i think we need to wait and see what Nintendo actually reveals, because right now everyone is calling it the Switch 2. but we don't know if that name will be a thing, im hoping it is.
If switch 2 is backwards compat (which it seems like it will be) it will have the greatest library of games of any console ever

The signature color is green while the "black and white" is the thematic
I had a feeling it would be Green, since it's the only popular color that they haven't used yet for a main Persona game. Looking forward to how it will look in the presentation, and what symbolism they'll go for regarding the color.

Visions of Mana looks dope as hell I can't wait for that one. Gorgeous visuals.
I personally wish in Persona 6 we have more tangible stat system.
In 3-4-5 stats do ABSOLUTELY nothing but artificially lock social links so you won't max them out early and nothing else.
Sure proficiency helps dodge chalk, guts gives some dialogue, but CHOICES DO NOT MATTER and maybe a few small things like that.
I want stats to affect gameplay and possibly story bits.
Like if you have high proficiency you do not miss that often or can use a weapon that is not your designated type, or if you have guts you can shield your teammates from attacks or have higher critical rate or something.
In the story you can lock side missions untill you have needed level in stats or better yet new dialogue for every stat and multiple ways to tackle palaces/dungeons like with high perception you can find hiiden rooms or with high strength you can break the wall to create a shortcut to the next level.
You know make it an ACTUAL J *RPG* and I am 100% convinced Atlus can do it because p5r was a MASSIVE project and if they cut even one palace from it and spent that time and budget on rp elements they could have done it.
I got tons in my backlog right now i can wait on Switch 2 for now so i can clean up the games ive bought and haven't even played yet😵💫
By the way, I don't know if you've seen, but there's a kickstarter campaign for "Across the Kosmos", a XenoSaga Episode I piano Arrangement Album officially licenced by Bandai Naco. It's produced by Wayô Records, a french company.
So that PLUS kosmos in tales of the rays in december PLUS a year ago Future Redeemed PLUS baten Kaitos getting a duology remaster last year... ths kickstarter campaign may just be another clue towards Xenosaga's return 👀
Also, talking about it on your channel may bring light to the project to more people who might be interested, so raise the total funding of the project, and in turn show more indicators to Bandai Namco that we want to see more saga.

Monolith Soft music is god tiers and Wayo Records makes beautiful and high quality vinyl and CD editions of legendary JRPG soundtracks (they did Grandia I & II, Skies of Arcadia, Ys VIII and Ys Oath of Felghana...). 4:50, I remember starting up steam after work one day and seeing P4G available to buy. I had no idea it was even being ported. I had never played it before so I bought it that instant. So glad they're focusing on being multi plat.
Hell, I remember talking about how I wished P5 would come to steam someday and having people go on about how that'll never happen. Well, glad to see my wish came true. Now, if I could just get a Xenosaga trilogy port I'd be set. Not even a full remaster, just a port, and I'd be good.
Whats a interesting insight in my opinion is the fact fans that came on Board because of 5 are experiencing what 4 players did . You had the game and its many spin offs until its next entry . Make no mistake p5 will be remembered very fondly like the rest but I’m excited to see what new crew we roll with this time around . It really is crazy to think 5 is close too hitting that decade mark . In the long run I’m grateful for what smash did with joker and even pushing persona’s popularity even further . Most of its spin offs were good too strikers was amazing , tactica was a nice change of pace , still like everyone else’s it’ll be also cool to see the p5 crew hitting their early 20’s if we see cameos in p6 or some other spin-off like the p3 crew appearing in p4 arena / ultimax

If there’s one thing I trust now it’s Atlus to understand that the ps5 isn’t doing what they need it too right now. And if their new stuff comes to switch 2 with Reload already selling like hot cakes it’ll be even better for them.

I'm just waiting for Atlus to announce Persona 3 Reload coming to the Switch.
According to the Persona Team at Atlus, they didn't even consider making a Switch version of P3R, which is weird considering the huge userbase that the Switch has, especially in Japan, and that the game itself doesn't seem that demanding and that P5 Royal runs without many problems on the Switch
@@pablocasas5906 That is extremely weird, especially with how successful it can be on the Switch. I mean, Atlus should know how much they can profit with putting Persona 3 Reload on the Switch with how successful Persona 5 Royal was on the Switch. Plus, Persona 3 Reload runs on the same engine as Shin Megami Tensei V, so they should be able to port Persona 3 Reload without much issue.

@@pablocasas5906It's indeed a bit weird, but I think they'll still consider a Switch port. Apparently, the PS5 really isn't doing so hot in Japan. The Switch is the ruling console there, indeed.

If those games come out before the Super Switch then I’ll just get them on whatever console is available first. I doubt the Super Switch is gonna be so impressive tech wise that it’ll be worth waiting even with the portability

It's good to see Atlus going multiple platforms with Persona 3 reload, Metaphor and Persona 6. Player. But due to the rumors pointing to the switch 2 console launching next year Player. It going to be awhile until we play these games on a Nintendo platform. I'm looking forward to playing Metaphor, Visions of Mana and Persona 6 on my ps5 console. While I wait ✋ for the switch 2 to launch world wide.
Seeing how long it took Atlus to port Persona 5 Royal to the Switch, alongside the ports of Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden and how they didn't include the Switch as a console for Soul Hackers 2 and Persona 3 Reload I'm confident that the Persona Team hates developing games for Nintendo consoles and that SEGA forced them to port those games, so I don't think well see Persona 6 on the Switch 2 until it releases first on "major consoles" as they call them
At least it seems the Shin Megami Tensei team does develop games for Nintendo's consoles
Sega and Microsoft have had a great relationship lately and I’m here for it. I got tired of having to buy a PS just to make sure I was able to buy Sega/Atlus games. Now I can get SMT/Persona and all of the other Atlus titles on my Xbox or Switch which makes good business sense seeing as how more players=more revenue. FF16 is seeing the backlash of third party console exclusivity with lower than expected sales. Sega is smart for not following Square Enix’s example.
Please let Persona 6 be inspired by something like Kamen Rider. It’d be really cool Atlus.

The actual answer is that the team doesn’t feel like doing the work. OJ eventually said that. But if they wanted this turd on Switch, it’d find its way there.
It probably could run on Switch considering it is also on PS4 which OJ didn't mention but they probably rather just wait for the next system rather than spending resources on the current Switch. I also comparing an 18 year old game to this one is very fair. I also don't think the team learned a lot from Trials of Mana remake
