A key thing about Roolie not being a knight - he stumbles over his words there and finally just says he hasn’t been *knighted*, which suggests there may have been some work, accidental, or otherwise, along those lines.
I like to think that he actually accidentally completed the full list of deeds his era has for people to become knights then went out the castle window when his Zeldas suggested actually knighting him!
“I don’t know the meaning of giving up-“ Hyrule took the stubbornness all the heroes have and decided that wasn’t good enough. He DEVELOPED that into a key aspect of his character! He doesn’t stop or give up, not if he can stand.
Oooh, I didn't catch that about the knighting! That's really interesting!
I really want to see them go to other links hyrules and see their home lives like Time and technically Legend!
Yeah, Hyrules Determination is insane!
I mean, a reading of the text could just have a benign, straightforward meaning. But he does sputter and that choice of phrasing is curious.

Honestly, I'm starting to like the Hero of Hyrule as much as the Hero of Twilight.
Yay! I'm glad! I've got a lot of new found appreciation for some of them as well, I can't wait until Wind, but before that Twilight is next! :D

Roolie & Wars unfortunely make the most sense to be killed... however... Wind can't die cause he is still has to found New Hyrule with Tetra and set up the grounds for Spirit Tracks.
I need to look more into this, but he is the hero of Spirits if I remember correctly, the two were combined in this
Oh yeah, I agree, I think Warriors and Hyrule are the most doomed, with Wild somewhere below them.
Wind isn't a 100% safe either since well, he's the Spirit Tracks Link as well. Here's hoping, I fear any of them actually dying and not coming back.
I see I have discovered this series at the right time >:) can't wait for Hyrule! Sorry, but out of all the Links, I was never as invested in him like Legend, Time, Twilight and generelly everone else. He is more of a quiet nature from what I gathered. Which means I can only be even more surprised with this video, I can't wait to watch it.

I loved this game. I have so many fond memories of my dad playing these games. It was how I got into the legend of zelda when I was growing up. I got him two t-shirts for Christmas that say, "It's dangerous to go alone! Take this! It has the old man on it with Link grabbing the sword. The other t-shirt is similar, where Link is facing the screen with the sword above him along with the fire and the old man. I also gave him a mousepad with the title screen of the first game for Father's Day last year. He still has the game, the particular gold looking one on his NES and all the controllers that it came with, including the big one with a joystick. Just looking at it made me feel old and how time flies. 😊
That's awesome! It's a really fun game, I have both 1 and 2 on the Gameboy and I play them often! That's so cool your dad plays them! :D
@laceforest6892 He's the reason why I started playing games like legend of zelda. I also bought him a replica of the wooden sword that you get in the beginning of the game, and it made the sounds the sword would make in the game when you moved it certain ways. I kinda like the fact that my dad said that the first game that started the legend of zelda was the only game that my mom ever played since she's not into games like him. How crazy is that? Although I never could picture my mom playing games but others in the family like my niece have gotten her to play games like mario cart with multiple rounds.😂
@@MotherNature101 That's so fun, I love hearing about families gaming together! My brother is the one who got me into Zelda, and when we were younger we used to play games with the fam, recently we've also gotten our parents to play Mario Kart! Games are amazing! :D
@laceforest6892 Wow, that's cool. Good on that. I wish more people did that since back then, that was common. My older and younger sister still plays games with other members of the family. My younger sister is married. She and her husband, along with his side of the family, love to play games. My two nephews love to play with their parents. My niece loves to play games, and she beat me at super smash when she was only five way before ultimate came out. We have many members in the family who play games. I guess it runs in the family. It's so funny how we got my got my mom's mom to play mario kart way before she passed away. How that turned out was hilarious. But I agree games are awesome. 😄
It's always nice seeing another New Perspective from a fan. My first game was Ocarina of Time and that was shortly after I came out but I've since played Every Zelda game and beaten every Zelda game on console (Exceptions are retextured versions of older games)
And even though I've been playing these games for 20 years it was kind of a surprise to me to learn that Hyrule Actually owned the entire Triforce. [also now that I think about it he's probably the Only link to fight Ganon with a piece of the Triforce that wasn't the Triforce of Courage]
But yeah every time I think I've learned everything I trip over A New Perspective that shows me a whole new line of thinking that I never even considered. So thanks for that Miss Forrest.

Well the Blood curse makes it obvious who has to die for the Ganon to be revived, BUT that could be a red herring to trip us up.
Yeah, the Blood Curse is really just like... right there, and everything in canon isn't canon for LU until it's mentioned in the comic, so it could be a red herring easily!

Rulie has been my favorite since the beginning. I have been waiting for this episode. I love everything you pointed out and highlighted about him. The only thing I never thought about was potential fairy markings under his croptop. Zelda 2 of one of my favorite zelda games despite how hard it is.

These'll definitely come in handy. I've been watching a bud of it, but I know next to nothing about these games beyond the basics, a little about BOTW and TOTK, and some bits of Twilight Princess.

It's in the Linked Universe Discord, It's unfinished, and Jojo has talked about how she is going to make some "How they met" stuff, so this is probably something that will come out officially later on.

We now get to the sorcerer of the group. I feel Jojo is sticking to game lore only, so the manga and the Zelda animated series which was made around the NES game's relevance, won't be included.
Of the Link brothers so far, this one gave me the least to work with in terms of investment. Maybe due to the little affinity I have for his games or if its that what he's got going for him is just recently being seen. Also in Adventure of Link, I thought the blood curse was more about Ganon's remains than it was Link's blood being special. Nonetheless he deserves respect of technically kicking the franchise off. I also like his determination to not give up when healing. A step to realizing some potential.
Now that you've covered the fallen hero timeline, from the order you listed from episode 0. I assume Twilight is next. Looking forward to that one's analysis. He's on my Mt Rushmore of Links.

Regarding JoJo using the manga for Four. Seems she used the Akira Himekawa books as inspiration for Link's character writing not necessarily book's canon. Which I don't blame her for considering the Links from the 2d games give us much less to work with than the Link's from the 3d series.
Yeah Twilight is a big one especially recently with what we just seen in Jojo's narrative, looking forward to it.

I don't know if jojo has a schedule or anything, I think every few months roughly, if you look through "Archive" on Tumblr it'll tell you what month and year stuff came out in, so you can get a rough estimate from that

Have you done the different challenges for the Zelda one game? The no sword challenge and no hearts challenge?
No not yet! Tbh I'm a little scared to try it! But it'll be really fun! Might make a video on that later!
@@laceforest6892there is literally a list of challenges for it, some blow my mind with how crazy they are. If you do the no sword challenge, pro tip. Bombs only damage the dark knuckles, or knights, if you are looking at them when it goes off. Why? I'm not sure, just letting you know, so you don't waste bombs like I did.

Based on what you've mentioned, I'm assuming the death flagged characters are Hyrule, Wind, and unsure.
You already mentioned Hyrule, Wind because he's the youngest and his death would be an absolute gut punch for the rest of the Chain, there's already the running gag of him getting flattened in battle with Dark Link, and I'm unsure who else it would be.
Also, Ganon fighting the Chain would be par for the course. I’m sure Sky will have an interesting time fighting the reincarnation of Demise.
Death flags do be scarring the fandom!
And I really do want to see Sky and Ganon talk, it would be so funny XD

@@laceforest6892I just thought of another reason it would be Wind. He’s the only one of them that’s not a reincarnation of Sky! Wind wasn’t chosen by the Goddesses, he wasn’t some Chosen One. He was the kid who saw an injustice and stood up to right it when no one else would or could. Out of all of them, other than Sky, he was the only one who in a sense truly was a hero of his own volition.

@@laceforest6892 and technically, if we go by that one manga, not even Sky was a hero of his own non destined volition, since there was a hero before him who stood against Demise and died, and Hylia forged the Hero’s Spirit from him. Therefore, that would make Wind the sole exception to them all.
