Jojo has stated that Time got the FD markings in the same event that took his eye and she described the marks as burned into his face.

I like to think that Time hits like a TRUCK whenever he swings that sword. Would absolutely make enemies s*** themselves upon seeing him walk up. xD

I think that another one of the few secrets Time wouldn't like sharing with the others is about the other transformations masks, while the fierce deity's mask is definetly controversial due to having such powerful dark magic, maybe the others would have a even bigger problem with the other 3 masks, since it could be argued that Time is basically trapping and weaponizing the souls of inocent beings, which wouldn't go well with the others and that could hurt the trust between them, which would be very bad since Time is the pillar that holds them together

Twilight is the only one who knows about the mask. Jojo confirmed that he disapproved of its use. Let's not forget that Twi sought after a controversial item like the fused shadows. He can't do anything about it.

Personally I think that the one that may die is Wild.
I don't know how Jojo is going to treat the champions powers, maybee Wild has them but doesn't have their spirits with him so he doesn't hear their voices.
I imagine that Wild is going to die and then come back thanks to Mipha Grace.
That or I image someone like Legend, who is very experienced and maybe would do something absurd to save the chain and in the process sacrifices himself, or maybe Warriors more because he is a big target dor the Shadow so he may get deadly wounded
I am also theorizing Legend, because the others all still feel like they have so much still going for them. Legend feels... tired. While it wpuld be sad to see him go as he said himself he couldn't believe a hero to receive hapliness as time and be confirmed on that thrlugh his death, I still feel like it would give him a chance to see Marin again perhaps or at least make him feel like seeing her. Wild is also a good guess, it would be very sweet for him to see his friends, the champions one last time saving him.

It's the magic spin attack from Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask. When you hold down the attack button, Link assumes the spin attack pose, and blue energy gathers around the blade. Charge it for longer, and the energy turns orange, allowing his spin attack to have longer range, higher damage, and he spins twice.
In the panels, you can see him assuming the pose, and the energy start to charge up.
I also believe it's part of a move that was taught to Twilight as he also has a move where you hold down the attack button. The jumping spin to the powerful shockwave afterwards is almost one to one with the move inside Twilight princess.
Amazing videos. I can’t wait till the next one. I think Wild will “die” again; with Wild being separated in some sort of cliffhanger death scenario and the group believing his died, but in reality Wild goes on his journey in Tears of the Kingdom before reuniting changed for his experience
While that would be cool , i believe Jojo said they retroactively made TotK already occur by the time the comic adventures began. Namely the Master Sword being shattered

I don't think that's Din's Fire, I think that represents his spin attack. I remember in, I think either OOT and MM, when you charge up the spin attack, it has a red fiery effect added to it.

As someone else has said, that move that you thought was Din's Fire, is just his charged, magic spin attack. It glows blue, and then orange if you hold it long enough.
I thought it was his 'hidden skill' the Jump Strike, but powered up by the charged spin attack. Huh. Maybe a combination of both?
Honestly both tale of Two Rulers and Linked Universe are both Fantastic fan zelda comic series.
They really are, I think I knew about Two Rulers before Linked Universe, so when the reference came up I knew what it was! :D

It can’t be Sky because unless Sun’s pregnant already, the whole series simply won’t happen. It can’t be Wind because he still hasn’t found New Hyrule with Tetra. It can’t be Wild either since TOTK saves him. So this leaves, Twilight, Legend, Hyrule, Warriors, and Four…Well, like you said Twilight was already on the brink of death so it would be redundant for him to die so the final count is Four, Warriors, and the Downfall Duo.
My money's on Warrior's since, going by the META, he's not technically a "true" hero. i.e. He's not "Canon" lol

It *can’t* be:
Wind; because he is setting up new hyrule still (I think, someone correct me)
Twilight; if he was gonna die, he would already be dead
Time; he’s still gotta make love with Malon
Wild; still has TotK
So our potential candidates areee:
Sky, four, hyrule, adventure and warriors

The way the fire applies to his sword is actually a reference to how the spin attack manifests in OOT after getting magic. First a blue aura, then turning orange.

The ability the hero of time uses is based on his spin attack in the game. Great job on this video.

Also, my vote will be the Downfall timeline. Why?
1. It has the most characters (and games) to go through so I felt as though it would be easier to do the “hardest” first.
2. It has the most backstory since its a timeline where we don’t know what started it out besides that Time died. I’d like to see what you find/know about this.
3. I’m voting in order of first events to last. Time dying at an unknown time BEFORE he defeats Ganon would definitely count as the “first event in order” to me

Nice reference to both Link’s Dark Deity armor and the armor of the Hero of Time’s Spirit. I do hope that there’s a manga/light novel series that explores The Hero of Time being a knight just so people can remember him after the events of Majora’s Mask. I mean, it is canon that the Hero Of Twilight is a direct descendant of the Hero of Time.
True! We don't know a lot after Majoras mask and before Twilight Princess! It's an unexplored time, but we know the beginning and end of.

Ooh that makes so much sense that their magic affects them so much that time gets taller and four smaller forever! And Someone will die?? I'm guessing Legend, it makes the most sense since Hyrule is all alone in his timeline without the legends of a former hero to acconpany him. Legend in general had the most adventures out of everyone already so it feels most natural for him to come to a rest. Not to mention Marin, his love that died, had never been, I don't think he would be that put off by death. And the other herles like for example Time (dide if Malon is becoming a widow I will murder) all still have deel connections and are deeply connected within their stories. Still, I hope it's just a theory, I will combust if one dies

I don't think it would be Time or Twilight for the reasons of the video but also it isn't Wild because of his sequel game (that I don't know if would be part of his story in the comic but I really like if is there and even thought of some ideas) and Wind cause he is a child.
My guess would be, if it was a Link, Warriors cause he isn't really canon or Legend or Hyrule... But I think the "someone will die" is more of a antagonist or side character...

I believe Time has also been seen using the Gilded Sword from Majora's Mask, we did see it when he mentioned the biggest thing he fought was the Moon. And while I can't remember the exact chapter, I'm positive I saw him briefly using it during a monster horde fight before switching back to the Biggoron's sword... 🤔

I don’t think his powered up sword is actually called Din’s fire
Dins fire is an item in the game, but a great fairy actually gives you the ability to use the powered up sword and doesn’t name it. It powers up your spin attack mostly, and since Din’s fire is a completely different element (being a usable item for the buttons).
Din’s fire cannot be how he does this as you can get the magical spin attack before getting Din’s fire. Also, you don’t need any item equipped to sue the flame sword thing.

I'm glad you covered my favorite one. I even have his amiibo, and he is so cute as kid then damn gorgeous as an adult. I can't help but feel sorry for him after all the things he went through. It's so tragic that it makes me just want to hug him so much. 😄

YAY! Someone else thinks this! I love the man, but if you really think about it, he’s not a real “canon” Link. It’s because of this reason that I think he’s most likely to be a goner.
I vote for adult since wind is my personal favorite of all the Links since his introductory game was my first Zelda that I completed and my all time favorite of all the LoZ games.
As I haven't found out who will die, I speculate that it will be either Legends or The Hero of Hyrule as they are from the dead hero timeline.
If not them, then probably wind

@@laceforest6892 I thought wind because he felt like the one who would want to prove himself, being the youngest, and in doing so would get himself killed, be it a rash decision, or him jumping in to save another, like Hyrule, because he's probably going to be the one, with the blood curse. It's mostly Expectation subversion really.
Truuue! Wind also has the most party member saves and also Wind is learning from Time, and Twilight learned in his game that Time tried to teach people, but it never went well-
While I adore Jojo for the universe she created, I actually hate the fact that Time became like this 'old man/father figure' and everyone else is super young and behaves...well like teens/young adults.
Because I think Time is the Link that would actually deserve that 'having fun with similarly young people' the most. He NEVER really had that. Like on top of the like "typical adventure trauma" he was literally forced to grow up and skipp several years, only to wake up and find his entire world destroyed at more or less his fault, but then after saving said world he was forced back into being a young child again.
But even then Time didn't really get to grow up because he wandered around lost, grieving the loss of the only close caretaker like figure he has ever had, just to get thrown into a time loop and getting further traumatized by MM and so on. And thats only like a surface level look at what happend to him.
So personally I would've LOVED to get a kid/teen Time in the Chain instead of him being the father to everyone else.
And whilst I see Jojos reasoning with there being the undead skeleton time and mixing that with the young one, I think that young Time outmatches the skeleton in terms of importance.
And this probably bothers me way more than it should (probably because growing up I only had acess to OoT and MM until botw released and therefore Time Link is the one I hold dearest) but seeing all the other Links getting all the attention and closure as teens/kids (in Jojos canon as well as all zhe fanwork surrounding it) while Time has to be the grown up, genuinely makes me sad?
Sooo yeah I just wish teen/kid Time would get a lot more attention (the attention he deserves) and despite being one of the most popular Links stop being so horribly underrated/under represented in fanwork.
Yeah, I agree with this, Time does deserve to get his closure when he's younger, and I've seen a few other cross over comics do this, but Linked Universe did influence a LOT more, and because of that everyone makes Time the old man of the team.
It could also be along the lines of people growing up with Time and keeping him at their age. And the fact he was forced to grow up could be similar to a lot of people as well, and that kind of closure can really only be fix over time.
But yeah, we do need more Teen Time stuff.
I see this old version of time more as a grown up version that has already had all of the things ypu mentioned you miss seeing. He is happy. He has a life, a home, a loving wife. He is done with adventures and only donning his sword again because of this new one. He still is a kid at heart as you can see when he messes with the links in the masks comic or generally teasing them when asking him about his adventures. He still has a kid side to him, when you get older, that doesn't mean you have to lose your younger self
@@ven4693 I've seen a lot of people "Heal their inner child" when they get older, heck my friend just sent me a picture of them eating DQ and watching cartoons! You don't loose your childness when you get older, you just learn how to channel it better.
Also, closure isn't something you can only get when your young, and I think Time works well with showing this.
But at that same time, we do still need "Younger Time Rep" because a lot of people have been making him older because of LU.

It may not be Din's Fire, but rather the Spin attack fully charged as it goes from blue to orange as it does in the game, combined with the sword skills from Twilight Princess. If you look at it with that perspective it might make more sense.

Honestly i think Rauru could have put some chainmail underneath Time's tunic while he was hitting the snooze button for 7 years, but overall his design is perfect 10/10 best design in the series.
P.S: I'm very biased about OOT since it's the very first Zelda game i have ever played 😅

Hello again lovely people! I got a random thought that I wanted to share and I dunno where else to do that so Imma put it out here:
(Its a bit longer thought sorry 😅)
It's regarding the "somebody will die" thing that Time gets to know of through the Shikah mask. Because thanks to that mask, he sees something in Wilds Shikah Slate and I had a theory,
What if, Wild is the one to die? He is one of a more focused on character but even so he could die with either a way back or to be a major story twist (Rip if that were the case).
The way back I'm talking about is Miphas Grace (I think its called that?). We dont know if he has the gifts of the other champions in LU but if he should, he could very well die and come back with that.
Else, I know you said something else dear Lace, but I could see Time dying. Because he may not become a father yet, but the current newest updates from LU (Dawn pt.9) leave me worried. They all recieved letters and Times face wasn't the happiest it seemed...? What if he got news from Malon that shes pregnant..? Plus he also has parts of the Heros Shade armour already. Obviously that could be just to different him from the others, but if one were to imagen him collecting that set throughout his travels... hes not to far away from the whole set.
But thats just my thoughts and I would like to know what everyone else thinks.
There are a LOT of death flags in this most recent chapter (Dawn pt.9) (My current running joke is "PUT THE GUN DOWN JOJO!" because... Death flags) I see where your coming from with it being Wild's shieka slate, as well as Time's reaction to the letters, there's a lot of questions we still need answered, and I cannot wait to see what happens!
Also, I'm always down to hear peoples thoughts and theories about LU, I try to read every comment, but I miss things at times, so I'm sorry if I miss stuff! I think when I get to the final episode, after I've done all the Analysis (Ep 10) I'll open the discussion in the comments or do a stream to talk theories and stuff on the Channel.
basically time is what the others think of as embodying the spirit of the hero.
i think the one that will die will be past/oracle as all his advenchers are shown to be over
I vote Downfall timeline. Best to get Legend over with early rather than putting him off for later. You already spent so much time on...well...TIME'S video after all. Might as well take your time with Legends since it is already going to take a while.

I think the whole someone is going to die was for us the readers benefit, but I could be wrong. I just don't see why the slate would reveal that to time for wearing the mask and not to wild. It just feels like a wink at the audience too. Some writers, heck movies, and games write in things like this.
One of the other translations was something along the lines of "Thanks for your time" as in "thanks for looking up what this says"
At that time twi just injured we was all streessing when that happen til we finally got the recent pages😹

ok even with all the secrets he has show girl he still has a lot of secrets. The dude literally is probably the one holding the most secrets in the group. yes about half of them have been reveled at this point but he still got plenty up his sleeve. The whole time jumping messing up his mind hasn't really been sharded with the others in it's entirety yet. He hasn't shown all his masks or told them how he got them. Let's not even talk about the shadow temple and the well. He doesn't know about the down fall time line though so that's not actually a secret of his. He still hasn't fully explained what fully happened during the whole majora thing in it's entirety. They just know something happened they don't know what or to what extent. They also don't know just how powerful he could truly be with the fierce (god mask because I can't spell it. lol), cept twilight. Not to mention how jumping to the future to see how Gannon wrecked the place effected his mind. Dines fire hasn't been shown yet nor has naruse's love or fayro's wind.(forgot hot to spell their names) There is still a lot of unaddressed hidden trauma that he is carry that he has been very carful not to let the others in on. Oh he has hinted but I don't count that as revealed as they don't have the context to make sense of it.
You are so right, I did miss quiet a lot of his secrets, and going in with that I might have missed one for Legend as well, I don't remember exactly... hmm

Yeah, I'd say Sky, Wind, Twilight, and Time are safe because of canon (Sky needs to finish setting up Hyrule and have a kid with Sun, Twilight already had a death jumpscare, Time because of what was said in the video, Wind because he's got to create New Hyrule with Tetra and kick off Spirit Tracks.) Legend I think is kinda safe because he's not the last in the Downfall Timeline, kinda shaky but he's safer than Hyrule. Four, if we take into account the Palace of the Four Sword, probably has to live long enough to get corrupted in the first place, as sad as that is (or maybe that makes him more doomed, who knows lol, maybe this is the event).
Wild though, I'm not sure, Jojo seems a bit hesitant to really add ToTK so that might not save him. Or it might, who knows.
Personally, I think poor Warriors is the most on the chopping block, after all, he's not supposed to be canon, poor fellow. So Wild or Warriors to me is about the most likely possibility.
...so I wonder if Mipha is still kicking in there, imagine Wild dies and then Mipha kicks the metaphorical door down with "NO YOU'RE NOT!" (so a bit of a safety net?)
Hyrule isn't safe either because he's at the end of his timeline and oooh boy no matter who dies, it's going to be a great amount of suffering. I fear for all three of them.
So far, I've found 3 characters with really big death flags, but it's always interesting to see what each person thinks about who would die and why. I've re read this entire comic too many times, but I still find new stuff and more references (which is why I'm doing this series) more eyes to find more secrets and hidden details!

hi, this is your Hare Krishna otaku, just wanted to point out that the mark on fierce Link in the tumb nail loos an awful lot like a Tilaka... meaning he is a servent of Krishna, who, in the Bhagavad-Gita, reveals himself as the Virat-Rupa, and Time personified.
in the this case, the 'Hero of time' moniker takes a whole other meaning.

8:12 where are you getting that? He goes forward he’s 16, he goes back, he’s 9. He’s not still 16. Going forward again doesn’t make him older than 16.
I think that attack was the like the spin attack. You do use magic like that in the game
I think I said "if his mental age also changed it would add that 7 years," then after going back that 7 years each time he time traveled. But that again is only "If"

I'd consider him as mentally nine throughout Ocarina of Time, since he didn't live those 7 years whenever he went to the future. Of course, his mental age is no less up in the air, since we don't know if he's done any other time travel outside of the game timelines.
