Wow how exotic! I always thought Sephardi was from Spain and Spanish was the language, this was beautiful.
Sephardics do originate in the Iberian peninsula, which is present day Spain and Portugal. We were there for a long time… However, due to expulsions and inquisitions in these countries, we the Sephardic people went to different parts of the world and different continents.

Thank you for posting this. Although I knew that others existed, in USA I was mostly aware of Ashkenazi. I researched Bukhara Jews and learned a lot. Although they don’t exist in large numbers in Uzbekistan due mostly to Soviet rule, you keep the Bukhara culture alive wherever you are.

Sephardic Jews are usually from origins like Spain, Morocco, Iran, Iraq, Yemen and Buchara where Ashkenaz Jews are mostly from Eastern Europe
