    I got a flat tire the other day while riding a few miles up in the mountains...I limped home on a slow leak and made it back without any damage to the bike or myself lol.
    I then made a b-line for the nearest bike shop that sold Tannus tire armor inserts. I also upgraded my handle bars to BMX style bars for more control off road. Best mods ever!!!
    If you want to buy the exact parts I used here are the links on Amazon.

    I like the AR-G ebike because of the higher handlebar it’s more comfortable, shorter handlebar will give you back aches specially on long rides. Imagine hunching your back leaning forward for 60 miles every time you hop on your bike, that will quickly take the fun of riding.

    Just received my Griz, Sept.21.2021. Ordered mine on January 25, 2021.....yep, that's how long it took due to global shipping changes and delays. Getting ready to unbox and test. Due to the delays, Ariel Rider has strived to satisfy its customers by gearing up all Grizzlys with bigger batteries included, 1,000 watt hub motors on front and back, and two battery chargers to enable charging the two batteries simultaneously. Ready to rock!
    I like the concept of the BMX bars however I am going to use Armor-Dilloz - Military Grade Ultra Premium Tire Sealant instead of the tire inserts you've added. After watching the video on how the sealant works, I feel it will be superior to using inserts. Time will tell.
    Thanks for your excellent video and well done explanations. I've been riding eBikes since 2007, starting first with a Bionx hub motor Specialized bike, and 5 years ago moving up to A Luna Cycles Police Bike with a 1,000 watt Bafang motor. The difference is startling....like moving from a Fiat to a Ferrari. I hope the Grizzly makes an even greater leap as far as off-road capabilities since I live in rural Arizona and have miles of 4x4 trails to explore.
    Peace, Madjag

      @@rtopalovich It will absolutely destroy jeep trails! Especially with the new 1000 watt motors. Im so jealous lol. Mine is a beast with 750 watt motors and mine goes up hills just as good as the mid drive $4000 mountain bike Im currently testing. Yes its that good. Id even consider buying actual motorcycle/dirtbike tires now. It may reduce the range but you guys are getting bigger batteries so again....Im so jealous!

    Awesome video, just got an Ariel X52 and got a flat within my first couple of rides. I’m going to install the Tannus Armor. Do you think it will work as a run flat? When my bike had a blowout I couldn’t even wheel it to the nearest train station to get home. I’m hoping the Tannus would help it roll but it said this feature may not be the case for fat tires. Wondering if you had this happen so far and if it worked as a run flat?

Those liners also make the ride more comfortable with that 1/2" foam liners. I'm in the process of upgrading the battery. Wow 6'3" 210lbs....your a big dude. I don't know if you would fit a Grizzly to be honest. I'm 5' 10" 200lbs and feel kinda maxed out since there is no adjustment on the seat. Your legs will be more bent than mine. That being said though....the Grizzly is more of a dirtbike so you kinda don't need to pedal and extend your legs. You will be resting on pegs 99% of the time.
      Have you looked at the backou storm? It's a bigger bike but also a tank of an ebike. Steel gears and full suspension.

    • @mixflip
      @mixflip  Před 3 lety +1

      I'm 5'9". There is no height adjustment for the seat so any taller and you will definitely feel like you need a taller seat. It's not really made for pedaling but it's doable if the batteries die and you just need to ride home.

    Tannus is really way too expensive for what it is for almost the same price you can just get new Vee Tire Huntsman tires that will do much better job to not get flats and if still worried can use motorcycle thicker tubes as well thats what i did on my X. I am surprised your top speed isnt any faster than my X guess dual motors only give extra torque.

    Buyer beware! Last week I ordered the Ariel x-class, and it is horrible. The bike clicks loudly and rapidly making riding unenjoyable. The throttle does not work properly, the tires are thin and just had a flat from a small shard of glass. These are the problems in the first week. I am scared for the bike to uphold over the long term. I am also concerned with my safety as with not even 100 miles on it the bearing may be going out making the bike unsafe to ride. I tried reaching out to the customer service but they have not made any effort to correct the problem thus making me feel like the took $2000 and gave me a lemon. If I were a new buyer I would go somewhere else, local, get good service. This company is only here to make money in my experience, and not provide a viable product.

      @newyorkvisionary Před 2 lety +1

      Hey man I just got a flat as well with my X class within my first 24 hours of riding. The tires do feel thin. The thing that gave me the flat was a 2 inch metal type thing but It didn’t even have a point. Im sure if the tires were thicker it wouldn’t have happened. I haven’t found any great tires for the bike, Kenda seems to be a decent option. Going to install the Tannus Armor as well. As for the throttle it could be the battery fuse if the throttle cuts out. The bike is warrantied for a year so you should be able to get this stuff sorted. I absolutely love the bike, once my tire issue is fixed I think it’ll be great. Hope you got those issues straightened out
