Unfortunately, I’ve already had to come back to this video. Up so much last night and needed reassurance of when to call the dr. I appreciate your time stamps to make it easier for me to go the part I needed to feel more confident about having my little seen.

Aw I'm sorry your little one is battling a long-lasting cough. It's so hard to watch our little ones feel sick. I hope your child feels better soon!!

So helpful! We dealt with a chronic cough last summer where we were trying steriods, z-packs, inhalers, whooping cough testing even to try and clear it. Final diagnosis was acid reflux. Heavy tx of an acid reducing med and it went away! Coughs are hard!

Coughs are so tough, there are so many different causes to them! So glad you found out what was causing yours and treatment helped resolve it!

Very well done video Dr. It was very informative and straight to the point on the major causes for this condition that nearly every parent will (and should) expect to see at some point in the first 3-7 years. Thank you.

Your videos are great! Thank you for posting these.
My 3yr old started dry coughing at night only about a year ago. I tried allergy proofing, raising her mattress/head, allergy meds, nothing was helping. I realized she has a bit of asthma once I started her in ballet. She'd dry cough every time and was finally prescribed an inhaler. Inhaler before bed ended up helping the dry cough.

Aw coughs can be so tricky sometimes. I'm so glad you figured out what the cause of her cough was and she's doing better now!

I needed this and feel it in my soul. Coughing since Christmas over here. Turned into a sinus infection then fizzled out for 1 week with a tiny dry cough and then BAM! Hit with RSV. struggling.

Ugh I'm so sorry back-to-back illness is SO rough. Sometimes it feels like you just can't catch a break. I hope everyone sick recovers quickly and y'all get a healthy stretch! ❤

My daughter does a fake sounding cough that sounds like the habit cough sometimes but it’s at the beginning of what ends up being a nasty illness. It’s a weird shallow half-cough with almost every single breath she takes and eventually other symptoms occur or the cough worsens. It’s odd.

Interesting, maybe it's the start of some post-nasal drip that she doesn't know how to fully clear? Coughs can be so tricky!

    Hello ma'am
Which type of doctor should I consult for my daughter?
    A pediatrician or ENT?

I'd start with your child's pediatrician if concerned about a chronic cough, if a specialist is needed they'll be able to direct you to the right person
