Hi Mr. Williams, I’ve been following your CZcams channel for some time, I’m from the city of Bauru in Brazil and I work at the flight club where the Flamingo and Spalinger S-25 gliders were built. their models are incredible and perfect replicas of our gliders. Did you develop the plants to build them yourself? once again congratulations on the constructions and thanks for keeping a little of the history of Bauru's sailing flight flying, even if on a small scale!
Chris, hope you don't mind helping a builder of your 1/4 scale Flamingo. I'm unsure about the hinging of the elevator. The section on the fuselage drawing looks like it rotates around the center of a rounded leading edge, but the plan view calls for hinges, which would suggest a chamfered leading edge. Can you clarify? Also, the leading edge of the elevator is a bit thicker than the te of the stab. Should I just sand it thinner? Thanks for your help!
