There is a Rose syrup of some sort, I'm thinking it's more like rooh afza but only that guy can clarify. Apart from that there are subja seeds which he added using a spoon. Subja is like chia seeds....it's a very refreshing drink during Summers and keeps your body cool. In Tamilnadu, they don't add rooh afza but make the same drink with Nannari roots. I stayed in Penang for 2 days and it was honestly one of the coolest and most beautiful places I've ever been to. It wasn't even heavily populated with tourists so I was able to appreciate the place even more!

I spent about 5 days on Penang around 2000 and enjoyed it. Not a terribly exciting place but I did have some nice street food. There was an Indian food setup that became my favorite, but with its fairly even division of people of Indian, Chinese and Malaysian heritage, the variety is nice.
That fella deserves a big tip after making that time consuming drink, bless his heart.

Idk. Seems like a rather genius way to add lemon juice or a small amount of liquid. Better than pouring a spoonful out of a bottle and then pouring it into every cup. Not much different that the bottle Starbucks use for their syrups...but instead of a pump that you have to put the cup under you can take the action to the cup. I’m going to start using one when I have parties and make cocktails.

I missed that egg soup kinda thingy. My family always made those when I was a kid and we mixed it with bread. We haven't eat that for ages now.

I’ve been to Penang once. It’s a very good place to visit.Rich with mouth watering food especially Pasembor😍many historical places. There are many races there such as Malays, chinese, Indians, Arabs and even Thai. They are all living peacefully. Looking forward to visit this wonderful place again 🇲🇾😍😍😍😍

Yea i miss my pasar malams, miss going to Malaysia for the food there. The future where it becomes pre-covid times might be another 4 years or so. Hence why i get so fustrated when people(especially westerners) dont want to take vaccines when they can. Just slows down the progress of going to pre-covid times.

I am Malaysian i tasted the red drink or we called it air Sarbat at the age of 39 yup it was so late! I agree with many is taste so good. I cannot compare with any drinks. Ididnt expect its going to taste so good. I bought only one cup. I tot of going back immediately but thinking about the long wait n process... 🤔. So i immediately said to myself next time when i go to penang this will be my first destination to end my craving.
